Okay so they don’t have the best upmost perfectly clean rooms. Well I’ve been hotel bound since April 2020 and I enjoy it. I know most people don’t go to a hotel to clean. I clean every hotel room prior to entering it with my belonging. Why? Because there is one thing I won’t do here I do do most hotels. I go and clean their “so called” clean room. And wipe it dry with their nice white towels that always come back black and then I bag them and bring them to the front desk. Then I get my stuff and my own towels. Because I’m an adult. And I move in for the day or week or year. Whatever. I promise you try this next time your at the embassy suites or Ramada or Philips hotel. All the same. A housekeeper is simply a magician that fools you into thinking it’s clean but it’s not. It’s face value.
Here it’s a great really cheap priced hotel all days of the week with rare price spiking on Friday that leaves a humble part time worker homeless for the weekend.
Here you get face value on everything. By everyone. You’ll meet the front desk people Sunny and Vyshy (Vee-sha) both young and ambitious always night or day willing to help anyone. Always working on something. Never being rude to people who may be having a bad day.
The house keepers don’t bother you early if your a long stay they will come in the afternoon instead. They speak some English but are always smiling and usually humming or singing something from where they are from originally. They all get the job done to forfill a daily grind that many do for a 24 hour establishment.

Simply put. Here they are real people. They have problems and solutions and kids and soccer games and they eat and bath and do everything we do. They don’t ever make themselves out to be better than me and I like that. It create bonds and friendships.

I was asked to write a review today because I have been here a few weeks but today, well yesterday I fell down. I hit something that fell out of a truck that didn’t stop on the highway. Took out one tire and left another tire losing air.

Today I thought I was leaving this hotel. Just one air pump to far away from sleeping in the car. But I don’t have to because the kindness I have given to this staff has been given back to me. By being honest with Sonny about all the events of my day and my payment knowingly going to be late and when I’m not sure. Yes he was frustrated. He didn’t just hand me the room keys of being to trustworthy. But he also didn’t lock me out or call the police and make me leave at 11am hen I only had half his money. He’s extended trust to me for always just giving him respect I hope to apply and receive a job here when one is available.

Thank you Sonny and Vyshy for allowing me to come to you with my problem when I knew of it and being patient but following through with hotel rules and deadlines. Thanks for not putting me out tonight just because I happen to have a bad day with life. Neon Thomas.

The healt dept would shut this dump down if they checked into it. My room smelled like a bar. No soap. No ice bucket. Went to front to get ice bucket, she gave me one but they did not have the bag. While there some guy walks in, mad. Room service had stole items from his room 2 days in a row even after he told them not to clean his room they still went in and ripped him off. There was no kind of food as it all was gone for breakfast. 2nd time I went by to get ice, another customer was smarter then me. He wanted to reverse charges on his card after inspecting the room as it had not been cleaned. I was stupid and paid with cash in advance and they would not refund my money. That will never happen again. There was riff raff of people outside in the back by the trash dumpster, looked like homeless or close to it. Checked back on 07 2024, this place is still a DUMP

I don't care what people say I love this place. The staff is understanding and polite about life's situations and the housekeeper seems to be pretty alright. She genuinely cared for the condition of my room and helped me with anything I needed. Thank you for making my stay Chelsie!

Room was neat and clean and the person at front desk in morning and gave me a good discount for 2nd day stay.. love to stay again soon

Overall very good experience. We had a single king size bed in a non smoking room. The room was very clean and you could tell they had remodeled in the recent past. The room included a microwave and fridge which I wasn't expecting given the economy price point. The bed was comfortable, the heater worked well and the furnishings in good condition.

When we walked in the back entryway stairwell I thought "uh oh" as there was the odor of cigarettes from smoking rooms but fortunately the air was clear by the time we reached our non smoking room on the third floor and there was no further issues.

There is no shortage of restaurants nearby from which to choose. Continental breakfast food selection was limited in scope (at least when I got down there) but good and served its purpose.

The front desk worker that checked me in and out (Sandra?) was probably the most sincerely welcoming hotel worker I've ever encountered.

I had 2 cats in tow and they were super accomodating. They have lots of brochures and fliers for restaurants in their lobby. Everything you need is within a few miles. The room was nice. The air was very cool and nice. The room was super dark. It was quiet and comfy. I slept better than I had in several weeks!

Excellent hotel of this class; kept extremely clean. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Sandra. As for the hotel itself, from the kind, courteous, and friendly owners, to the meticulous, comfortable rooms with very well equipped breakfast room- our experience was nothing less than exceptional. Restaurants are within a short walking distance (just a few minutes). Would definitely recommend to everybody! It's a true sample of excellent hospitality and best value for money. Special vote of thanks and respect for Sandra and the general manager who do a great job there; a true sample of excellent hospitality!

Great value. Affordable room with good amenities, very clean with a comfortable and relaxing sitting area in the lobby. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful, and the staff were friendly. A good breakfast was also provided. We would definitely stay here again

Clean room, soft bed, super nice guy at front desk, great price & brightly lit parking lot. I did not enjoy the smell of cigarettes walking down the hallway from the smoking rooms. But my non-smoking room was very free of nicotine.

Bunny at the desk is so sweet and helpfull to carry my luggage when I am checking out. Great place to stay here

We had a great stay. The staff is friendly. The rooms were clean. We travel with our dogs. They allow dogs our 40 pounds. We sometimes pull a large 22 foot utility trailer and they have ample parking for us.

Reasonable price. Room was clean and did not smell bad. Bathroom was clean. Bed was fairly comfortable. The room had mini fridge, microwave, safe, hairdryer, and all of the other expected amenities. Breakfast was good, with a fair variety of choices. Area seamed safe. Overall not a bad place to stay. Would recommend it.

Great staff, clean room, comfy bed, hot shower. Very quiet hotel. Convenient location. Very well priced. Came into town and needed a last minute stay with cash in hand and was able to get a room with no problem at all. Both the night and day staff was wonderful!

Clean. Three star + hotel. Smells nice. Lots of towels! That alone would bring me back. Several basic choices for breakfast. Fresh bananas. Great shower. The bed was good. Could have used another pillow. If you leave late you can still get housekeeping.

Very friendly staff, clean rooms. The carpet could use a cleaning but what can you expect with all the rain and snow that we have had this year.
Biscuits and gravy and fresh made Belgian waffles along with cereal , juice and muffins for breakfast.
A good place to stop and not break the budget.

Stayed at Super 8 Because my truck was being repaired and they allow Dogs.
I drive a truck and I stay at motels few times a month.
The staff at this Super 8 are VERY friendly and nice. Rooms are remodeled and very clean. Had an awesome Breakfast Bar. The A/C's will freeze you to death. Tons of cable channels on the LG HDTV. I would HIGHLY recommend this Super 8 to anyone. You can not go wrong staying here.

I really love the staff and management. They where always very polite and understanding. One of the motels I've been to. It really can use a upgrade by the state for their excellence in service. It has water leaking behind the walls it smells of mold needs new fire alarms a washing facility. Just a thought but could the Ramada west building be remodeled and super 8 be moved over there? This family deserves a upgrade if you ask me 😀. Make it like the one on Topeka Blvd. Super 8. Maybe with a few extra perks like a education center for family's to learn together. Education classes everyday maybe a chance to learn how to work and help up keep. Life guard skills, House keeping skills, waitstaff skills, hosting, banquet event host, management, communicating skills. History. is still by the highway and closer to a bus stop not to far from the museum allot of travelers go here.

These guys that work the night shift were awesome, the room is great and they were super nice I very recommend this place !!!

Extreamly good staff very courteous and respectful. Very clean room. And overall just a good experience woke up late and that you gave me a late check out for free so I had Time to get a shower in ready to leave. Will definitely be returning sometime
