I would highly recommend a stay at The Cheshire. We came out of town from Houston and this hotel was so charming!! The staff are incredibly friendly and the free breakfast is pretty good! Definitely recommend for a weekend stay that is full of cute!

I stayed at the Cheshire Inn over Christmas ‘23 due to a moving van snafu. Every staff member was friendly, pleasant and helpful —all the time!! I asked them how they did this and they said that it was a good place to work. That was amazing, and shows you what a good working environment can do.

Cute and unique hotel! Staff are all incredibly friendly. Fireplace was cozy and great to sit near. Free breakfast is slightly above average for a typical free hotel breakfast. Close to Delmar and Forest Park. Area felt safe and parking garage was nice.

Only stayed one night, but everything about my stay was amazing. Bed was superb, room was fully stocked and clean. Basso and fox and hounds were both above and beyond on service and quality, phenomenal atmosphere. Will definitely be returning at first opportunity

A good, fun hotel. Saw guests hanging out and enjoying the common areas. They do various things for the holidays. Santa was in the building doing Santa things. The Tudor design is interesting and adds a certain curiosity to the place. Will stay again in the future.

A great hotel with character and ambiance. The architecture and decoration of the common space is superb. Grab a drink from the bar and cozy up to one of the fires on comfy couches or chairs.

Once again, the Cheshire has proven itself as the perfect overnight experience.
The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding. The environment was clean, and it was very quiet.

I loved the whole vibe of this place, and everyone felt like family. Only 2 down sides.. what service? There wasn't even pool towels or employees to ask. Room was very neat but old as expected, but completely filthy! I mean, I'm not even sure they change the sheets lol dust so thick on everything I was kinda scared we were going to get the ick.

I booked the reservation as part of a package available from AARP. I came to St. Louis to attend a concert by Ringo Starr (a GREAT show). The hotel is a fun and interesting place with plenty of old English charm. My only gripe was at check-out. I needed to leave early, 5a, to return home to go to work that afternoon. There was no one at the front desk to assist me, and there was no bell to summon anyone. After at least 20 minutes a woman arrived to begin her day shift and was surprised no one was at the desk. She found the desk attendant asleep in a back room. The attendant came up and got me checked out, but didn't offer any apology. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay and would consider visiting again.

I made a reservation for my son at the Cheshire Inn. Sadly, I made it on the wrong date! I emailed the hotel and Justin (a lovely man) called me to discuss the error. They were in no way obligated with this type of reservation to issue a refund but they did! It the hotel is even half as nice as Justin then it is a great place to stay! The next time I am in St. louis I will be staying at the Cheshire Inn!!
Thank you Justin for the wonderful customer service and understanding. You are a credit to the hotel industry!!!

Was just at the bar, not any rooms to stay the night. But it was very cozy and intimate and dark. Was nice, with a real fireplace too.

The staff was extraordinarily, helpful, polite and friendly. The rooms were clean and well decorated, and it was exactly in the location I needed to be. Would definitely come again.

This place is beautiful! All around excellent services and amenities. We even booked an extra night. We loved the ambiance of the tavern and Basso. This place makes you feel like you are in England we honestly spent more time at this hotel than any hotel we’ve ever stayed at, just because there is so much to see, the staff make you feel welcome, and the down to earth environment makes it like family. Just a whole experience that everyone should try. We definitely plan on going again in the next year! Amazing place! Thank you to all the staff for being welcoming and kind!

We went to The Boundery, an event space, located above Basso. Great rustic atmosphere with a burning fireplace. The staff were very accommodating and friendly.

Don't forget to use HoteIDully.ᴄᴏm when booking a hotel. This web site will compare countless booking websites and normally will have rooms a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of my favorites in the area. I have been coming here for years. If you stay for a few days you won't be let down.

I didn't stay here so cannot give a review of the rooms. Friends and I stopped by the Fox and Hound lounge inside for a drink after dinner out. Love this bar.

You don’t just stay at the Cheshire, you experience it. What a fun place to stay. The extended lobby and pub are full of quaint English decor. History of English writers are found in the hallways and in every room. If you want a taste of England while in St. Louis, this is the place to stay.

Once you step up to a hotel on a higher tier it feels like there’s at times no personality or unique character. I love coming here for a relaxing homely experience.

I stayed here a long time ago. It was great to come back and experience the updates. I’ve always loved all the options at this unique place. The Fox and Hound is a great place to unwind at night, breakfast options are a wonderful way to start the day. The adjoined restaurants are marvelous places to relax and enjoy delightful food. There is underground parking that is clean, safe and easily accessible.

Location is excellent. Room was good, but there was no authors book for my room (prior inhabitant must have taken it, what a shame). Bed was too close to the bathroom, and I knocked my knee on it three times (ouch), so I stuffed a pillow around the corner, creating a bumper guard! Lol. Dogs allowed and the glorious park and terrific SLAM museum is an easy walk (dogs loved the park, I loved the park. I would live in the area it is so nice). Loved proximity to arch, quick drive. Eat the cheaper food like pizza at the resturant. Save yourself for a steak at Ruths Chris by the Arch or Italian at a bistro.
