This place is a must go for sure! We got all this food plus a trip through the great salad bar, with way more than salad, fried ravioli, and 3 pieces of pie with 2 cups of coffee for under $42! The service was wonderful and friendly, and it sounds weird, but the ladies room smells so good! 😊

It's a very friendly place and the food is good. I had the Liver and onions it came with 1 trip to the salad bar.. The liver was delicious and so tinder was able to use my fork to cut it, it had just the right amount of crispiness on the edges.. ❤

Iconic family owned restaurant with the old school vibe, true customer service, friendly staff, food was great, although the fried chicken was a bit dry. Nice choice of pie, too. We went for the lunch buffet, very reasonable price. It's one of those places that make you feel like family.

The chicken fried steak is my favorite.Every time I'm in the area I just have to stop and eat there. Been eating there off and on for 15 years . Great family business. And I can always count on it tasting just as good as the last meal I had there.And every now and then I will have the burger and fries just like old school taste. The waitress and staff are always so so friendly and the food is ALWAYS so good.Hiw could you not want to leave a large tip. Also try there steaks to they are a nice size portion of meat and always so tender.Next time your heading to the lake or near by and ready for lunch or just diving down the highway Don't forget to stop by and have a bite to eat.

I ordered boasted chicken which was tasty. The prices are super. I was too full for dessert but the pies and cakes looked awesome. I will have to return for their breakfast I heard they have great pancakes

Tonight, some of my family and I ate dinner there! I had chicken fried steak, green beans, scalloped potatoes and 2 or 3 rolls, plus I drank Pepsi and/or Dr. Pepper. Finished my meal with a piece of pie. It was all really good!!! The servers are very nice and friendly, too!! I think the name of one of them is Jessica, but I really can't remember for sure! She was around a grade or two above me, through the years, at the same school district, Marais des Cygnes Valley (MdCV)! She's really cool!! So, I highly recommend this place!! God bless these charming and lovely people!!!

We were driving down the highway and my wife said that sounds like an interesting place for lunch. I'm glad we stopped. Reminded me of the dinners of my childhood, good food and friendly service. We had the chicken dinner which was very good and you can't beat the price, the meal for 2 of us with drinks came to less than $20. My only regret is that we didn't order pie, but we were too stuffed

Naw...I'm heading to Metal Stock . Thank you to the owners of Metal Stock for their recommendation of this place for our breakfast instead of beto junction. They were right, the buffet was awesome. First time here and we will happily return.

My smile got a whole lot bigger after that breakfast. Great service and a buffet...and country folk who aren't metal heads supporting their local community...love it. We will return frequently, as I'm only an hour away and I do love breakfast. This place serves breakfast all day long. Highly recommend.

We were passing through town and had a great meal here. The pies were good! The only negative is a few gnats I saw at the salad bar.

Good down home little restaurant with that down home country charm ! If you love comfort food this is it ! Like stepping back in the 70s.

Great mom and pop family restaurant. Good salad bar, different buffets on different days. Also Great menu items. There liver and onions are quite good . Their sandwiches are tasty and their low prices are even better. Great pie and friendly staff are just normal business for these folks.

I have been here several times. Every time my meal is outstanding, the price is right for the amount you get, and the servers are happy and helpful. We drive from Topeka just to eat here. It's worth the drive. I need to go on a Friday for the fish fry. I hear it's wonderful. Great for both vegetarians and meat eaters.

Not my first post for this restaurant but this visit, I would have to say was the best steak meal I've ever had! Ordered a Ribeye - medium and it was perfect!
I even gave the wife a taste and she loved too. Even commented on it later that evening! If you live in the northeastern part of Kansas, it's worth the trip!

The staff is very very nice and accommodating. Like a hometown restaurant should be. Good food, great prices. Broasted chicken is delicious. Seafood buffet very affordable.

My wife and another couple stopped in for breakfast around 10 AM on a Saturday morning. Service was excellent. The $10 breakfast was good hot and filling. A warning they also sell a flat of cinnamon rolls that look scrumptious but after bringing them home They had plenty of frosting but little cinnamon in the rolls them selfs I would pass.

We've been twice in the last week. Staff are helpful, courteous and professional. They have all day breakfast and are known for their chicken. We have been very pleased with their food. Had breakfast at dinnertime our last trip. So, so good!

Fantastic food! So worth the trip! Breakfast was absolutely amazing. The staff was incredibly nice, friendly and funny. I highly recommend coming here. Real small town homemade delicious stick to your ribs cooking! Pancakes are the bomb! We'll definitely be back. This place is a real Gem!

We found this Family Restaurant while on our "sunday drive" & it is wonderful! It's very clean, still covid conscientious, & everyone is very friendly! The food was delicious! They have a salad bar, help your soup & dinner bar & what looked like homemade pies! Recommend trying this out of the way "honey haven" again! Delicious, very nice! We will be back!! 🥳💜
