Leavenworth National Cemetery

Good morning... Yesterday, being February 2nd, 2024. I stopped by with the intent on visiting my mother, but I also found out an individual who I'd known from many years back, and not terribly well, but was also buried at your location. I felt the least I could do was stop pay my respects to this individual. The employees of Leavenworth National Cemetery were very helpful in finding this individual. I really appreciated their time, and found out this individual was just a walk away from where my mother was, so I felt bad passing by so many time's. So I stopped by, said a few words, hoped this person found peace, as well as so many others at your amazing cemetery. The grounds are beautiful and very well taken care of, as you definitely feel a calm when visiting. Thanks again, appciate all the effort everyone puts in.

My parents are together in this beautiful place. I have friends here also watching over them. I miss all of them. God is blessing them.

My dad, a Vietnam Veteran, passed away late in 2020. I reached out about availability as my dad was from the Kanas City area. The experience was great and the service was beautiful.

It was an expressed wish of my father and they made it happen with the dignity and respect you'd expect.

It seems inappropriate to even leave a review of this place. You can almost immediately feel the spirit of sacrifice as you walk the grounds of this cemetery. Such an uplifting and inspiring experience. Slow down when you are here. Take time to appreciate, respect, and honor these patriots.

I have a brother buried up and quite a few friends to. I was there for a funnel where the wife past away first and about 5 weeks later the husband.

Had my parents' ashes placed there. These people were wonderful to work with. They were very respectful and the whole process was very stress-free for me, and very quickly done. It's an absolutely beautiful and historical place as well.

My husband’s ashes were interred at Leavenworth yesterday. Wonderfully respectful staff, “honored to care for your loved one”. It was sad to leave him, but so grateful that our government has provided this last gift for the men and women who have served. Thank you.

The grounds are quiet and peaceful, the grounds are well maintained, the staff is respectful and responsive to the needs of visitors. We just buried my mother in law there. While it was a sad day for our family, we were well cared for by the staff members.

A beautiful burial for my Grandad yesterday. Thank you for everything. He would have LOVED every minute of it. You guys have truly done so much for us and we will never be able to thank you enough. God bless. 🇺🇸 ❤

Great staff. Due to my schedule i have an extremely hard time making it within the normally regulated hours. They have always been great with bending the rules with me slightly so i can see my mom. I really appreciate that.

On every visit, every detail has been tended to with the utmost respect and compassion. If there any negative, and it is really nothing to speak of, it would be that the computerized grave finder was not working on two separate occasions. But there is always a real patriot there to help you locate the gravesite that you are looking for. Well done!

I've been here so many times. It's such a well maintained Cemetery. It is always perfect in appearance. Every grave is a treasure and your crew goes the extra mile to make sure it looks that way.

Unfortunately, my dad is here. It's a large cemetery, it was my first time and didn't know where to find him. I got a map from the office and found him right away. It feels so peaceful and serene. Pop's in a beautiful place.

My brother is buried here. The staff is very friendly, respectful and professional. The cemetery is well kept and beautiful! Very peaceful.

Talk about hallowed grounds. This is a beautiful place that honors our nations heroes!
