MainStay Suites Kansas City Overland Park

Great hotel, great staff, excellent maintenance..had to come here several months ago after a horrific life event. General Manager went above and beyond to make me and my children feel safe, rooms are GREAT, they pride themselves on the cleanliness, address everything with class, integrity, and a friendliness you definetely don’t see other places!! My garbage disposal had locked up yesterday and again, the GM was on top of it and had maintenance there 1st thing this morning!! All the staff is GREAT, love Jordan to death, always so sweet and always meets you with a smile and bubbly personality!! Could not ask for a better and safer place to stay!! DEFINITELY need more GM’s and staff that pride themselves on their quality of customer service like the group here!!

When we got to the room, the lamp by the bed wasn't there and neither was the TV remote.
We went down to the front desk and the attendant was able to find us a remote. We told her about the bedside lamp to which she said she will look into it, but never got our room number (not who checked us in). The recliner was partially open and stuck that way, It doesn't close. We decided not to use that.

The bed felt extra springy. We pulled off the fitted sheet to find the mattress was flipped upside down. We don't know why and didn't care to look or flip it over.

The wifi is spotty. Probably overloaded with guest connections.

For the good:

-Shower was hot and had amazing water pressure. No draining issues either!
-Room was clean.
-Items were stocked (coffee etc).
-Attendants were friendly
-Good Location
-Good Price
-Safe place to sleep
-Quiet hallways
-Elevator

I'd stay here again and I'd recommend.

Recently ran into some unfortunate life events and was needing to find a place to be able to call home for a few months. This was the very first place I had seen online and made a reservation for and I cannot be any happier that I did! With me being new to the whole extended stay living life style, my first morning here, the general manager Shautay went completely out of her way to explain how they typically operate and so much so, how much pride she takes running this establishment based solely around making sure her guests are happy and well taken care of here. I was blown away by how beautiful, clean and updated the rooms are. Not to mention the peace of mind knowing each room comes fully furnished as in a full set of dishes , any pot or pan and cooking utensils you may need to cook with as well as several other items to make you feel straight at home. But it was my interaction with the general manager, not even 12 hours into being here is what tops it all and still has me speechless. I feel like that it’s just something you don’t see often, if at all really. Especially in a hotel/extended stay operation. If you ever Find yourself in need of a place stay, Mainstay Overland Park is going to have your back : )

Nice clean rooms. Close to everything. Rooms were nice and warm in the winter. The Staff is great especially the hotel manager Shautay Banks. Very accommodating and just an overall really pleasant stay and experience.

This place is very wonderful in many ways. The manager Shantay is super professional as well as understanding , diligent and a pleasure to have assist me. I'd have to say she is by far one of the most amazing people I've dealt with in the hotel world . Thank you

Decent rooms just be prepared to pay for all your own toiletries and supplies once you run out of the initial stuff they give you

Ms. Wade is an excellent manager and does her best to take care of the property. All the employees are very friendly, the only gripe I had is that often the front desk would be unmanned. Regardless, if you’re staying in Overland Park for an extended amount of time, there is no better place to stay for the money.

Shantte, Josh, Nikki, Sherry, were absolutely delightful and very professional. There was no nonsense tolerated on behalf of the public or guests at the hotel in the long period of months I spent here. I received cancer payment at Shawnee mission Hospital and it was a very difficult time and these people as well as the fellow I believe to be the owner 🙂 we're absolutely like friends. It is a relaxed hotel. Very reasonably priced and I myself anyway witnessed no sketchy and since or felt unsafe at any time. Highly recommend it, especially because it is both kid and pet friendly 🙂0

We was celebrating our 10 yr anniversary ❤, the front desk guys let us check in early was extremely helpful n so nice friendly. And I absolutely loved our maid she was very nice,and it was also mother's day. The breakfast was awesome, sausage links,tator tots ,biscuits n sausage gravy,scrambled eggs,several juices,hot coffee. The rooms are very spacious, the beds was so comfortable. Very clean,the indoor pool was nice n warm the set up was beautiful even though it was inside the setting made it look like you was outside. Soft lighting. We most diffently will be going back again. The price was very reasonable for everything you got. I highly recommend it. We went to worlds of fun which is like literally 3min drive. This is where we will be staying every time we come there. ❤ thank you Wingate we loved our stay, it felt more like 👪family. 👍

I’ve stayed at different extended stays around the city but mainstay has definitely been the best. Very welcoming when you check in, staff made you feel right at home and very polite. The manager is very nice and helpful if anything you may need and very on top of things.
The rooms are very clean and beautiful kitchenette with nice beds and prenty of supplies already in the rooms. That was a plus. Even had body wash , shampoo and conditioner ( big bottles) in the bathrooms. Definitely nice set up.
Gym to workout in and parking is not bad at all.. shout out the staff and manager, very welcoming, and helpful .. I don’t write reviews, but had to definitely give them their props, place is very well kept.

Not a bad place to stay. I like the in-suite kitchens. I'd rather cook for myself while in the area for training then eat out every day and night like most of my cohorts. Clean room, quiet area, attentive staff as needed. Not bad.

Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. While I did not use the kitchen appliances they did appear to be well maintained. There is/are not large ice machine(s) but there are ice makers in the freezer of the full-size refrigerator. My room was quiet, the pillows were full-size and there were 4 on the queen bed. The mattress was comfy and I got a good night's sleep. Close to restaurants and fuel. No problems or complaints, I would definitely stay here again!

My friend has been staying in hotels trying to decide where he wants to stay or rent at this time. While out, we stopped by his hotel room purposely to see his room. It was a great place. Clean, quiet and they had everything he needed for someone staying temporarily. The kitchen was nicely decorated and equipped. Was not at all boxed in. This place is more for someone who is staying an extended stay or just overnight, this is definitely the place you would want to stay.

This is the second review I have written about the Mainstay Suites in Overland Park, Kansas. I feel that people don't take the time to write about the good experiences only the bad. I have been at this hotel for almost 3 weeks and I have nothing but good things to say about the staff. I literally witnessed Shantay, (who I just found out is the General Manager of the hotel), personally take a guest who had decided to stay another day their new keys and towels just to be nice so they did not have to come down to the desk. Most would not think these actions were a big deal but in today's world people do not just do things out of the kindness of their hearts. ESPECIALLY the General Manager. I have witnessed her going above and beyond for all whom she comes in contact with. Hotel living is already uncomfortable but Shantay and her staff make it manageable. Thanks again!!!! You are awesome!!!

Shautay called me halfway through my stay to check in and see if I needed anything. Made me feel like a rockstar.

We have stayed at a variety of different places while visiting KC, and this one was definitely one of the better stays. The bed was comfortable, which is not always common, and the room itself was quiet as well as cozy. Had everything we needed, the only thing that we thought could use improvement was in the bathroom. Everything was fine, just could have used a vanity top with the sink, there was room for even a small one. Other than that, was a great stay in a great location!

The staff of the hotel is amazing. The facilities are kept with cleanliness. Excellent service as well. Keep up the good work! Looking forward to stay again when the time comes! Happy Easter!

My Husband and I stayed in their Queen Suite with a Bedroom. It was super CLEAN & Spacious Staff was Friendly. The Kitchenette included everything you'd need, including a dishwasher. The Bed had an actual cute comforter and not some flimsy cheap cover that's gross. Not to forget, how comfortable it was too. Lots of storage space in all the rooms for your belongings. Loved our stay and highly recommend.
