Holiday Inn Express & Suites Overland Park

I opened the door to my room and was pleasantly surprised. The bathroom was upgraded to a walk in shower. A type I've not seen in any other Holiday Inn Express. There was no door and the shower faced inward so water would not leak out. Very ingenious. There was a large in room refrigerator that actually was able to hold liter length bottles and the door closed. There was a sofa and a king bed that was very comfortable. The desk chair was also very comfortable and I didn't have to get up every 1/2 hour to walk around because it hurt my back.
The breakfasts were always hot and the alternating of options made it interesting to eat breakfast. All in all a very good stay!

Front desk day staff was superb! Rooms and facility very clean and smelled nice. Pool was clean. Food was decent and area was clean. Nice remodel.
The bad, not unique to this location...IHG Holiday Inn loud closing doors! Hate those type of security latches too being used to prop doors open and then door slams and bounces extra loudly on them.
Cleaning and maintence especially should not use them for repeated slamming bangs that vibrate the bed and wake guests. I did see a housekeeper using a rubber type door stop here.
Also, tired of points being worthless at IHG hotels as refused at this location too. Especially when a diamond elite and have a large amount I cannot even benefit from when needed. What's the point? lol!

My husband and I stayed here on Saturday, January 20th and we were so amazed. Great looking hotel, staff terrific, especially Ally. Super friendly young lady and beautiful smile. She made us feel very welcomed.
Room was very nice and super clean! Very impressive.
Breakfast was fantastic and very filling. I would definitely come back here. I highly for anyone!recommend this

I recently stayed at Holiday Inn Express & Suites hotel and was thoroughly impressed with the exceptional service at the front desk. Just finished up a 3 night stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Overland Park and had a wonderful visit! The room was clean, well appointed and had a modern updated tile walk in shower. The breakfast was your typical Holiday Inn Express hot buffet items so no negatives there. The hotel is right next to several shops and food locations, such as Chick-Fil-A that is literally a walk right across the parking lot. Some other perks at this hotels include:
*Friendly staff
*Heated indoor pool + working a hot tub......which seems to be a rare amenity among most hotels in todays market
*Room cleaning staff (which we chose not to use but I noticed them each morning cleaning rooms)

The only downside to this hotel / location, which is no fault by the hotel, is the road construction which was annoying. Such is life though near a major city.

This trip was for a friends birthday. We got to the hotel a little early. We were greeted pleasantly and able to check in. The room was very nice. It was also just painted. They are in the process of doing a complete remodel of this hotel. All new beds. The bed is the biggest thing for me personally. I slept like a baby!! Breakfast had plenty of things to choose from. For me, this was nice because I only eat yogurt and oatmeal. I am very happy to say, I will be returning!! 😊

Only complaint was that Construction taking place on the floor we stayed on. Little loud during the day.was quiet at night. Nice room upgrades. Especially the shower! Nice!

My family of 4 stayed one night and it was absolutely amazing. The room was nice the breakfast was super nice the kids loved the pancake maker! And they had a lot of fun in the pool. Love the fact that there was dove hair care and body wash products available to use would definitely stay there again!

All staff I encountered were pleasant and helpful. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was great and the location was amazing!!!

This Hotel and Staff were phenomenal! We were in town because my Eldest Sister was very ill. The compassion shown us, as well as, arranging for our unexpected additional night's stay exceeded our expectations and made what was a very difficult time for us, easier without worrying over our lodging arrangements. A++. This is a beautiful property. Staff is very pleasant and accommodating. Property is in a great location, easy access to everything Overland Park and Kansas City has to offer. Couldn’t be happier. That’s why we continue to go back month after month. Would highly recommend!!

Very clean Friendly Hotel and Service, Best beds around! We usually stay at another Holiday Inn location but this is now our Favorite. We have also stayed at Intercontinental on the Plaza for years and still Love it, but these beds here are amazing! I’ll take good nights sleep over location anytime! Also dog friendly for those earlier morning outings! With Great complimentary coffee waiting! I actually have never written a review, But this Hotel deserves it.

Room clean staff friendly was given a gift bag with water chips and discount card for tacos. Have stayed at the 135 st Overland Park ks 3 times for conventions in area .

Great pillows... two soft and two firm. Nice water pressure and cold ac. My only complaint was fighting with water sprinklers at 530am to get in my car and head to the office early. Other than that...5 stars.

I have stayed at this location 4 maybe 5 other times. My stays are usually at least 4 nights.
The beds are super comfortable
Rooms are clean
They offer daily housekeeping, which I really like considering other properties since Covid will only service your room if requested or you stay more than 3 nights

Clean, comfortable and spacious. Cleanliness is important to me when staying at hotels. I get anxious about staying hotels due to bed bugs or roaches and other critters. This HI-Ex was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location of the room (and hotel in general) was perfect. I am a traveling medical professional and I enjoyed my stay here so much that I reserved the same room for my future stays. Keep up the good work HI-Ex OP. 👏 you're doing great!

We have stayed at this location MANY times. ALWAYS friendly people and the rooms are spotless!! They have a WONDERFUL breakfast and it is quality every time. The pool is clean and the hot tub ALWAYS works! Probably one of the best Holiday Inns we have stayed at. Well worth the money!

Very very clean, staff is polite, accommodating, friendly and efficient. Location, ammenities, breakfast and decor perfect for relaxing and being like tou are home. We have stayed many times in many places in IHG hotels all through the COVID time and never got sick or had any issues. Our home away from home. Highly recommend IHG hotels and resorts. All are or newly beautifully remodeled. Consistent.
