Hampton Inn Kansas City/Overland Park

Stayed here once when all the 'corporate' hotels in OP were booked. Have stayed over a dozen times since in the past few months. Why? Always clean, the kids behind the desk are super polite, and they put me in a quiet corner room when they can. Breakfast isn't horrible. If I had one complaint it would be that in alot of the rooms you can't access streaming on the TV. But if you want a comfy good nights sleep (and a quick workout/jump in the pool), this is the place.

This may honestly be one of the best overall experiences I've ever had at a hotel, in any price range. I have stayed in some hotels in the KC area 2-3x the price of this and had average experiences, at best. The location is great, right down the street from the highway. There are several food options within a short drive. The hotel itself was very clean and did not smell musty like many other hotels do. My room was spotless. Perfectly white sheets, comforter and everything in the room worked as it should. Being able to load the room key onto my phone via the Hilton app was a huge plus for me. I did not interact with a single Hampton Inn employee the entire time. I was able to check in and out via the app.

My only thing I can complain about is the eggs and almond milk at breakfast. The eggs had an "off" taste to them and the almond milk had some chunks in it. Not sure the cause of either of those, but this was not enough to hinder my overall experience by much. Highly recommend staying here, great hotel for your money!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, and the breakfast was really good. A note of caution: before you book, ask if a sports team is staying at the hotel. The kids were loud, obnoxious, and running up and down the halls knocking on doors while the parents were in the lobby having drinks. I still gave the hotel 5 stars because that was not their fault.

Extremely clean hotel. The staff is working hard to make sure everything is perfect for you. They do a great job. Beds were super comfy, loved the pillows and great location!

We had an excellent experience! The room was super clean and smelled clean. Front desk staff was excellent. Breakfast was good. Very quiet. Would absolutely stay there again!

This Hampton was fantastic. Staff was very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and I actually slept very well which is not normal for me in hotels. Great water pressure in the shower, too with an actual high shower head.

I didn’t partake in the breakfast as I had other plans for food, nor did I swim as it was February during my stay.

I’d recommend this hotel to anyone!

Great Experience, Great staff. Chris checked me out and even after checking out he helped me. Lilianna in housekeeping was great. Housekeeping us great. The room was so comfortable and inviting. The bathroom light makes no noise. Bed comfortable ❤🙏🏾💖 It was so quiet 🤫 And breakfast was over the top. Will certainly stay again. Book early

Clean, comfortable rooms, wonderful breakfast, great location, pet friendly. Highly recommend. (And love that fresh ventilation smell, too.)

We have been traveling a lot lately. This hotel is probably the best we've been in this year. It was clean, safe, everything worked for the most part. Staff was friendly until the last day..
Again, room was clean and comfortbale, hot water, nice water pressure, good view, plenty of storage and plug ins...it was great.
Couple of small annoyances...the water did not drain well in the shower. Taking a normal, 10 min shower, the water would be over your ankle....but not a huge deal. The AC kept the room cool, but not cold. I get that it was 100 degrees outside, so it's not a huge deal,but it may need to be looked at. Biggest problem was...the next to last day of our stay we asked for a late checkout at the front desk. They asked us when we would like to check out, we said noon....they advised that would be fine. Then the last day of our stay..sitting in our room around 11:15 we get a knock on our door asking if we needed more time..explained we asked for a late checkout..and she said nobody told her etc.... not a huge deal, just kinda annoying. But all in all, we would gladly stay here again

Welcoming and accommodating staff. Hotel is very clean and well maintained. All amenities; lobby, pool, breakfast, etc were above average from what I’ve experienced lately. The room was a smaller style room, however is was plenty adequate for us and included a fridge and microwave which is nice. I would have no reservation recommending this hotel if it’s what you are looking for, we would absolutely stay here again.

stayed in mid July with a Club Baseball team playing at Creekside. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Housekeeping was always great. breakfast is what you'd expect but was good and always fresh. the area is close to plenty of restaurants and main highways. no issues with the room or property during our 5 night stay. would def recommend to anyone looking for a great hotel in the Overland Park Area

This hotel is in a wonderful location with nearby access to the highway, great shopping, and plenty of dining options. The breakfast is always delicious and the pool is very well maintained. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Overland Park area. It is very clean and safe. The entire staff I’ve encountered are excellent and always go above and beyond to deliver top notch hospitality and service.

If I'm ever in Kansas again, I will definitely stay here!!

I have stayed at this location many times when I travel here for business, and it never disappoints. The staff is super friendly and it is always clean and welcoming. The breakfast available in the morning is also great.

I really enjoyed staying at this Hampton Inn. Everything was clean and neither new or recently renovated. It was a perfect stop for me and my family with a pool and plenty of dining options in the area. The guest services representative, Shay, was very helpful and made me feel like I mattered as a guest. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, single or with a family.

Very impressed with this hotel. It’s the little touches that made our stay so great. May be the cleanest room I have ever scene. The furnishings were well kept, bed impeccably made, and bathroom stocked with all the essentials. I loved all the charging ports for our devices and how the entry light switch and the one in the bathroom was illuminated. Efficient staff and a good breakfast spread makes this a no brainer.

LOVED THIS HOTEL! It was clean and the rooms were great! We loved Quentin and Frankie and the rest of the staff for putting up with our 6 person bachelorette party this weekend! Definitely shows they care about every guest that checks in!

Excellent accommodations and friendly staff. Appreciated the ease of accessing the hotel and check-in. The breakfast was very good as well. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.
