Hyatt Place Kansas City/Overland Park/Metcalf

Great hotel! They are doing construction during the day but it didn't impact our stay at all. We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms which were huge and gorgeous. Such a clean place. Hot breakfast was amazing. Took a dip in the outdoor pool which was great! I also loved the fact that they had restrooms by the lobby because I forgot to go to the bathroom before we left the hotel and was able to stop and go.

We had a small vacation and ended with 3 different hotel stays during our trip. This place is by far the best for our standards and customer service was a huge plus even though they were under construction and remodeling. The breakfast was great. We had a slight problem during our one night stay but they went beyond and above to fix the problem. We had a room that may or may not be remodeled but the customer service and welcome feeling topped it off. We felt very comfortable and felt safe during the stay. Our sleep was great. If we're every around the area, we will definitely book this hotel again.

I have stayed here several times on business. They have been under remodel but very unobtrusive to the stay. The remodeled rooms are very nice. The staff is very communicative about the construction and do what they can to compensate for that. I will definitely continue to stay here. Convenient drive to food, gas, etc..

I travel frequently for work and have stayed at hundreds of hotels around the country. I've never had a better experience or been treated better than I have at this hotel. The staff are absolutely amazing! Smiles for days. Always willing to help or accommodate. Truly, the most polite people I've met. I can't recommend a better place to stay in or near Kansas City than this Hyatt. I'll definitely be staying here the next time I'm in the area.

Very very nice and hard working staff… so sweet and humble. Very clean, nice rooms w walk in glass showers, nice and healthful complimentary breakfast from 6am to 10am, attentive staff, and overall a nice stay. Free parking. The pics speak for themselves. For breakfast they had a very good croissant cinnamon bun hybrid. I love the merging of anything with croissants! Like cruffins and cronuts … this must be called something like Crocinnamon bun :-)

This is a renovated Hyatt Place, super beautiful inside, very welcoming staff, seemed to service young professionals. I enjoyed my time here and have stayed at Hyatt places all over the country. I really do enjoy their new renovations.

This was my first stay in a Hyatt location, and I was impressed. The price was reasonable, especially considering how large and well-laid out the room was! Everything worked and everything was clean. The continental breakfast included eggs, sausage, French toast sticks, oatmeal, pastries and cereals, and the food was still plentiful and hot 15 min before it ended at 10 am.

The hotel sent a text message before my arrival to see if I needed anything in advance, and they sent another several hours after check-in to ensure things were satisfactory. All staff I encountered were incredibly helpful and friendly. Hyatt customer service sent a pre-check-in email offering add-ons like late check-out and early check-in, and I actually added the early check-in. It was $35 extra for 9 am check-in, which allowed me to drive in the middle of the night to avoid traffic. Standard check-out was 12 noon - which is an hour later than many hotels, and I was able to check-out online without having to wait at the counter.

This location is finishing some renovations, which they clearly stated on the website (it is from 9 am to 5 pm). I had a small issue with a waste disposal truck that was moving large trash containers from 7-8 am. I was on the 5th floor and it still woke me up. I called the front desk to make a polite suggestion about this, since I know they care about the renovation noise. The employee addressed it very well, and I was very impressed with her customer service. She was great!

The bar of hand soap came on a little tray (not just on the counter like some hotels), and the TV channel info was not sluggish when changing channels. The wi-fi was smooth, and I heard no noise from adjacent rooms.

This was a fantastic stay, and I look forward to returning to this location. I will go out of my way to select it the next time I'm in the area. Many thanks to the staff!

Friendly staff always looking to accommodate their guests. Wifi was very strong. And the rooms were clean. I chose the hotel because it was close to the office I was visiting. But there are no attractions that are walkable.

Being updated 3/2024 but quiet until work begins at 9 am. Clean, good breakfast, real oatmeal, breakfast attendant constantly restocking and cleaning!!! Good exercise room. As we checked out the front desk clerk gave us two more bottles of water for our road trip :) excellent Mexican restaurant due south of hotel. Our new go to when in KC

Seems to be recently renovated hotel. Spacious and clean room, service is good, location is perfect. But the swimming pool was closed during our stay.

Excellent location, friendly staff, clean rooms and comfortable beds. They were in the process of remodeling, but it didn’t affect our stay at all. The breakfast was yummy and it was replenished as needed! All the employees were very attentive!

Very nice location with nice rooms. This location was close to where I needed to be. Absolutely loved the space in the room. They were doing construction to part of the hotel but it was no big deal, the staff was super friendly and apologetic about it. The only thing I didn't like about the room was how small the bathroom felt. Felt like I had to squeeze in and try to shut the door. Other than that, spacious room for a family of 4.

First room I got At the Hyatt smelled badly and the air conditioner didn't work they moved us to one that didn't smell bad and had air conditioning

This Hyatt Place is well kept, how they all used to be before the pandemic. Out of 4 hotels we stayed at this week, this one did not have any issues. Clean rooms, friendly staff at check in and check out and breakfast. Breakfast was great with full list of hot and cold buffet items. Convenient location off the highway. Will stay again and recommend anyone. Thank you!

I loved my experience at this Hyatt location! Great friendly staff, the rooms were cozy, with good breakfast options. Also a great location right next to the highway, lots of good food places and shopping near.

Check-in was very easy and quick. The young lady that checked me in was very friendly and had everything ready. Our hallway and room were exceptionally quiet, which was a very welcome surprise. Checkout was also very easy and quick and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again.

I Travel often and stay at all level Hotels, this is the second time i stayed @ this location and it has by far surpassed My expectations Again. Room configurations make you feel Home, and complementary breakfast is superb…Really Happy with my Vacancy.

Mattress was on the harder side for our taste but rooms were clean, breakfast had a great selection, and it was close to several food places and shopping. 10-15min from IKEA. Would recommend!

Yash every evening was so helpful and kind to our work group. Even though the hotel is currently under renovations, he always welcomed us back from our 12 hour shifts! Thank you Yash!!!
