I just had my first visit with Dr. Nelson. I was referred to him by a good friend. I need extensive dental work, and I have had dentist anxiety my whole life. He honestly is the best dentist I have ever seen. Very sweet, great bed side manner, professional, gentle and compassionate, and incredibly knowledgeable. He also made my tooth that broke off, look like a million bucks. His staff was very respectful and sweet, and even stayed after hours to fix my tooth, and still had an incredible attitude (Dr. Nelson, his assistant Ally and Joy). the top notch Massage Chairs that I got to use while waiting, was an added perk, and I could of stayed there all day. lol . Thank you again Dr. Nelson!!! You ROCK!!!!!

Dr. Nelson has done several involved dental procedures for me. He is beyond an excellent dentist. Explains everything beforehand and every step of the way during the procedure making sure I understand everything and am not in any pain. He is gentle with a kind, compassionate spirit definitely putting patients first. He is extremely skilled and knowledgeable. I have been to lots of dentists across the country and he is at the top of my list for the best dentist ever.

I am incredibly fortunate to have found Dr. Nelson for some of my dental needs. He is absolutely one of the kindest and greatest healthcare professionals I have ever seen. He truly takes the time to get to know you as a person and makes sure your needs are met with incredible detail and craftsmanship. I highly, highly recommend him and his wonderful team!

If I could give more than five stars for Dr Nelson's office I would. I have never received this level of care and compassion from ANY doctor. Dr Nelson is a very empathetic, caring, and knowledgeable dentist. I had several issues going on, including two cracked teeth. I had to have one tooth extracted and it was very traumatic for me. Dr Nelson and his staff were so caring and patient. Dr Nelson presents you with all of your treatment options and never makes you feel rushed. He took so much time to answer all my questions. His office manager, Joy, is the reason I booked an initial consultation. She is very knowledgable and just a fantastic person. Dr Nelson took the time to call me personally after my extraction to ask me how I was doing. I can't imagine ever going anywhere else for my dental care.

I found this dental office while searching for a holistic dentist a few years ago. I was looking for someone who would help remove all the amalgam fillings that I received as a child. What I found was a dentist unlike anyone I have ever met before. Dr. Shane Nelson is one of the most compassionate and caring people I have come to know. He always listens attentively to all of my concerns, He is honest and patient always making me feel like his top priority never leaving me feeling rushed. It has been such a blessing to find a dentist who is as genuine as he is. Beyond his noble character, he has a true gift of the healing arts of dentistry. His work is exceptional, he is generous beyond any measure, and truly has a heart for his patients. A real artist of his craft his talent shines through his work.
His office is comfortable and clean with the top of the line advanced equipment for precise work. His assistant and hygienist are the friendliest, most loving people you will ever meet. They too are talented making every visit a pleasant experience. His office manager Joy couldn't have a more fitting name. She radiates joy when she is around. She is very wise to her profession and does a fantastic job of managing the business side of things always willing to assist when needed.
This office truly makes me feel like I am family. It is worth the hour drive I make to receive such exceptional care. I highly recommend Shane Nelson DDS to anyone who wants to partner with a team of such skill, integrity and kindness.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Nelson and his staff. I had a real fear of going to the dentist all my life due to some bad experiences as a child. But I needed some serious dental work done. I prayed and God answered. Dr. Nelson put me at ease immediately and took great care to make sure I was ok with every procedure. He's incredibly kind, as is his staff. I highly recommend Dr Nelson to those who might be fearful of going to the dentist. Or if you're just looking for awesome dental care!

Dr Nelson and his staff were very knowledgeable about what I went to see them for. The environment was very clean and there were multiple hand sanitizers in the office. They wore latex free gloves and the whole experience was fantastic. I’d highly recommend going to see Dr. Nelson. Very professional and it was definitely an experience you’d want at a dentist.

Dr. Nelson and his team are fantastic. I visited his office this afternoon as a new patient with a few different dental issues needing to be addressed. Everyone was extremely kind, knowledgeable, patient, and accommodating throughout the entire appointment.

Dr. Nelson took his time addressing my issues, educating me on them, and answering all of my questions. He & Joy were great at coming up with a treatment plan and breaking down the steps for me. I highly recommend his office!

I had an initial exam with Dr. Nelson and his staff a couple of weeks ago and had my first treatment plan visit with him today for a chipped front tooth and another treatment. I have a clenching / grinding problem and had significantly worn my front teeth, and chipped one as well. Dr. Nelson repaired the chip and corrected the wear pattern on both teeth and they look absolutely AMAZING. I was very impressed during the initial exam by his care and knowledge (and his staff's). And now after seeing Dr. Nelson's work on the two most prominent teeth in my smile, I am 100% confident this is the dentist for me and my family. Thank you Dr. Nelson, and thanks as well to your gracious staff!

Dr. Shane Nelson and his staff are by far one of the most friendliest, humble and entertaining individuals to be around. These are people you can trust to get the job done. I came in today seeking relief because I was in so much pain and to my surprise I got in and out quickly. I was expecting to be here longer, and in much more pain after my surgery I left with so much ease. Thus far I have always left their office with peace and joy, knowing that I can get great rest after my visits. From the moment I first visited this company, it has been nothing but a family to me. I am beyond grateful that there are still great people in the world doing a phenomenal job at their craft. My hats off to Dr. Shane for always coming in with a wonderful smile and a great attitude. Lastly to his staff for always making my visits a welcoming environment. A huge shout out to Joy she is a trooper and a blessing to be around. All in all to anyone who is looking for a dentist that can make them feel better, comfortable and safe this is the team that you need to have in your life.

Had such a great experience with Dr. Shane Nelson. From the moment you walk into the office you know Dr. Nelson pays attention to detail, his practice is beautiful! Dr. Nelson is knowledgeable, friendly and is an artist. I love my new smile so much, I got veneers done. I’ve been getting so much compliments from my friends and family. What a discovery! Dr Nelson is very likely the best dentist you will ever find. His tools and techniques are state of the art, he’s highly skilled and Dr Nelson is one of the nicest people I have ever met. I have struggled with my smile ever since another dentist botched a procedure years ago. Dr Nelson has restored my faith in dentistry and is actively working on giving me the best smile I have ever had. VERY highly recommended!

Dr. Nelson is incredibly knowledgeable with all areas of dentistry. He has always made me feel comfortable, which has dramatically helped to lower my anxiety level when it comes to routine cleanings. I have had a great experience with him as my dentist for the last 10 years. I would put 6 stars but they won't let me. 😁

Dr. Nelson is a gem! I discovered him almost 20 years ago by a stroke of luck when I needed a dentist in the Shawnee area. Today I live in Manhattan, Kansas, and drive over 2 hours for his expertise. He practices day-to-day excellence, is warm and caring, and is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to your smile. Highly recommend.

Truly a great experience all around. This is the first time I’ve experienced zero pain even from a numbing needle from anywhere. They were also very expedient. A very professional environment and also a convenient location in the city. Absolutely recommend Dr Nelson. They also provided me with a free book at no charge. Can’t imagine finding a better experience anywhere.

Shane is a Tremendous Dentist, probably the best in Kansas City . I had problems from work at another dental clinic, and Dr. Nelson quickly and effortlessly resolved my issues and fixed my bite. His equipment and dental tools are of top of the line. Will be going back for sure.

I’ve been going to Dr. Nelson for over 10 years. He’s great and really knows his stuff. I come from a long way away for my dental car with him because I trust him and his work. So kind and knowledgeable and the staff is friendly, as well.
