Perky's Cafe & Catering

Great local place for breakfast or lunch. We stopped by for breakfast and it was a great meal. We ordered the all meat skillet, Denver omelette and a full order of biscuits and gravy. The skillet has a base of seasoned potatoes covered with meat, gravy and two eggs however you like. The omelette came with your choice of toast so we went with sourdough. That was some of the best sourdough bread I have had in years. The biscuits and gravy stole the show. Those biscuits were worth every penny and the gravy was rich and meaty. Looks small from the outside but plenty of seating for a larger group. We will be stopping by again.

We used Perky’s Café for our all staff meeting this month. I appreciate that there are gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options to meet our dietary needs, and at a price that fits our budget. The staff at Perky’s were very accommodating and communicative throughout the whole process. Delivery was right on time, and the boxes were clearly labelled to make setup easy. I had the falafel wrap which was very good. I also received positive comments from staff about the house made chips and the cookies. Will definitely use again next time I have an opportunity.

Perky’s is an incredible place to eat. The food is great! The service was friendly & prompt! I especially loved the USA themed patriotic decor! I highly recommend that you try Perkys if you haven’t tried them! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🇺🇸

Always a firm believer in supporting small businesses. This rings especially true if the business is known to provide positive customer service support. My husband and I have visited this hidden gem of a restaurant periodically for a few months. No matter how busy this diner gets our order is always correct. In addition the customer service is amazing. My usual go-to order is an omelette with light cheese (fully cooked), potatoes and wheat toast (view photo). I appreciate the care that goes into preparing my meal. Be sure to utilize the website to see what's available. During certain holidays, this diner is known to have awesome specials.

I really love this Cafe! The breakfast menu was the first of its type I have seen. Instead of offering so many varieties of food combinations that it is difficult to chose, you 'build' you meal from a list of meat, sides and bread selections, allowing you to create the perfect breakfast for your needs. There was no need to ask for substitutions or not eat something on a combo you don't like. I had a perfectly cooked chicken fried chicken with gravy and two eggs, bacon, and biscuits and gravy, and sourdough toast with jelly; all for a very reasonable price. My son had steak tips with two eggs, half waffle, and biscuits and gravy, and for his bread he got a biscuit, which they added gravy to as well. He also had Chocolate Milk which they refilled. I should have taken this picture before we cut up the waffle, it was perfect. Highly recommend you stop here anytime you're in the Bashor area, and well worth the trip if you have to drive a few more miles. We're going back for sure, got to try the lunch.

Had a delicious, filling breakfast of a hash that included hash rows, ham, peppers, mushrooms, bacon, cheese and maybe more, covered in yummy gravy with an egg on top. Coffee is good, too! Very comfy and clean restaurant, and the staff was so nice and friendly! Also learned they have scheduled events like bunco, farkle, painting with acrylics, and more. Will be going back for sure!

Today was the first time we have eaten here. It was fantastic! The food was fresh. The chef salad was large and the turkey and ham on it were delicious. The bacon cheeseburger was awesome! The menu has a lot to choose from. I like that they serve both breakfast and lunch all day. The service was great. We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu!

I haven't eaten here yet but I'm going to the staff is friendly. it's not quite a a hole in the wall and definitely classy you can't beat that Small Town Diner feel. Update I've eaten there now a handful of times and the food is always perfect and just what you would expect out of a small Diner even my kittens love at 10:00

Had a good time there for lunch. Tenderloin was great, pattty melt looked good too. Definitely worth a try. Good stuff!

Hawaiian chicken was really good. It's not fancy but if you enjoy small diners like I do it's worth the stop.

Wow! Amazed at how wonerful this place is. Stopped by while my car was getting inspected and the service and food were wonderful.

EDIT: 4 years later (2017 was original above the edit) I find myself getting car repairs again and again am completely overwhelmed by the service. I feel like a king as my cup never got empty. There was a decent amount of customers in the place too, but the ladies worked together to keep everyone happy and then the food came out. I'd take a picture but it's already gone. Chicken Fried Chicken with toast and bacon. If you visiting and find yourself near or at the legends, drive/Uber the couple of miles down state to Perkys. You will not be disappointed in the quality or atmosphere this local business has to offer ... Unless you show up after 3pm.

I will be going regularly the food is great......especially the biscuits and gravy !!!

Just shared a monster breakfast sandwich and breakfast burrito with friends. Food was yummy and hit the spot. Pat was our waitress and she was super nice. Everyone we encountered was friendly. Cool place. We will be back.

Randomly picked Perky's for Sunday breakfast (8/6/23). Best decision of the day! Great food, superior service and friendly/fun atmosphere! Enough said- the best! I'll be back on further visits to family in Basehor.

This is a great little diner / cafe. Food was great and staff is super freindly.

We love coming here on the weekends for breakfast, sometimes they have this very sweet woman who does balloon animals for the kids which is very exciting for them. It definitely has a small town diner feel to it, and that adds to the charm. The food is out quick and the service is great.
