Holiday Inn Express & Suites Shawnee-Kansas City West, an IHG Hotel

During my recent weekend stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Shawnee-Kansas City West, I had a wonderful experience. Despite its proximity to the busy 435 interstate, the hotel was remarkably quiet, providing a peaceful retreat nestled in a nice wooded area. The staff was incredibly friendly and courteous, making the stay even more pleasant.

The rooms were well-kept and clean, with beds that were perfectly made. The bathroom was a highlight, featuring a large walk-in shower with glass doors and delightful decorative touches like towels folded into swan shapes. In the morning, the breakfast buffet offered a great selection of items, and the large dining space made for a comfortable and enjoyable meal. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

William was fantastic! I accidentally called a third party to book instead of the front desk, and when I received my confirmation, they had made a mistake on the number of people. My mistake was not William's problem, but he took the time needed anyway to give me several options and thoroughly explain everything. In the end, he found us a room that would work for our needs. If you call the front desk, ask for William- Awesome individual!

William at the front desk is Amazing, he answered all my questions and was so kind and friendly-it’s all about good customer service and it is rare to come across good people that like their job and are good to customers and I am no longer a Hyatt Lenexa customer-I will be staying at this location- because of how friendly and welcoming William was to me and my daughter-I hope Holiday Inn knows how lucky they are to have an employee like him! Thanks William-you are the BEST-you have a NEW customer!!

During my recent stay at the Holiday Inn in Kansas City, I had the pleasure of being assisted by Anali and her outstanding team. From the moment I checked in, it was evident that exceptional service is their top priority.

I was in Kansas City for surgery, and Anali's warm smile and efficient check-in process immediately put me at ease. She was incredibly attentive to my wife, who was feeling nervous during this time, offering kind words and support that greatly reassured her. Anali’s professionalism and friendly demeanor set a welcoming tone during a stressful period.

The team at this Holiday Inn also deserves high praise. Every staff member I encountered was courteous, attentive, and eager to assist with any requests. Housekeeping maintained my room impeccably. The rooms are very clean and spotless.

The facilities were clean, modern, and well-maintained, reflecting the pride and dedication of Anali and her team. Whether it was a quick interaction at the front desk or a longer conversation about the best spots in KC, they consistently went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction.

In short, Anali and her team at the Holiday Inn in Kansas City delivered an exceptional experience that exceeded all my expectations. Their commitment to providing outstanding customer service made my stay during a difficult time as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Very nice, clean hotel. Good food and a pool. Didn't gouge us on the price like the others near by. Wife forgot to bring a fan and they gave us one to use when we asked.

All the staff was super nice and the pool was open until 11! The rooms were a freezing when we came in but you can always adjust the temperature to your liking. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were well equipped. I definitely recommend this place.

This is a great place to stay. The people were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The beds were very comfortable. It seemed very clean and quiet. I'm thinking I'll check out the pool and gym next time we stay.

This Hotel was so nice and clean. I never once wished I was home. The bed was comfortable, the TV channels were great, and the bathroom was beautiful. Breakfast was good, and hot. Noise was not an issue, but we were on the top floor. If a kid ran through the hallway you could hear it, but I think that is pretty much anywhere you go. Would stay here again.

I loved our stay. The GM helped us out by letting us into our room even though he could not get the payment from Priceline. It took me a few hours but finally got it taken care of. We got to our even in time and had a great night's sleep. I would stay here again but not use Priceline.

Clean room, very comfy bed, great complimentary breakfast with lots of variety, quiet and peaceful location, and a very friendly staff. Close to some nice restaurants, too. Great place, thanks for the nice stay.

Hotel was great. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly. Good part of town. Breakfast bar was also on point. Theres an indoor pool but we didn't have a lot of time. 5/7 perfect score.

Great hotel, leveta hooked up an upgrade. My only recommendation would be to update the AC units, but beautiful rooms. One of the best I have seen in IHG

Clean. Quiet. New. Friendly. Great rooms and nice fitness room. Asked for extra blanket and towels with no issues. Breakfast was very nice. Asked attendant for wheat bread and she promptly found me some. Loved this place.

Soft sheets, awesome blankets!! A/C works GREAT! Very clean, stocked and employees are super friendly! Instead of little, cheap mini shampoos and such- there are QUALITY shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles in the shower!! Great experience!

We stayed at this hotel while visiting family. It is new and was sparkling clean! Staff were very pleasant. Breakfast was slow, but also quite good. Lots of people! Very nice stay!

What a great hotel! The staff is amazing and go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay! I am here for three months for work and have had the chance to change hotels. I choose not to because of the clean rooms, reasonable price, and wonderful staff.

Hotel is very clean and quiet. Highly recommend. Front desk staff is OUTSTANDING in the afternoon! Always friendly and helpful offering fantastic advice on local places to eat or directions. Best hotel service I've had in a LONG time.

Have to say room was clean and spacious love that they carry amenities in the rooms however we ran out of towels and the room was not cleaned daily continental breakfast was on point and front desk was helpful would recommend
