Courtyard by Marriott Kansas City Shawnee

When I wanna stay in the "Shawnee" area this is the Marriot hotel choice I choose. It's right off the highway, close to The Legends, the Oak Park Mall, nearby restaurants, gas stations, and banks. And this location has most amenities it's usually never really crowded.

A very nice and clean hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable.

Great location, close to relatives. Just a walk across the street to a steak house. Short drive to The Shack for a great breakfast. Rooms were clean and staff was friendly. Would definitely stay there again.

Best staff ever!! Rooms were comfortable, they even had a comfy roll out that we used with everything in the cabinet. Huge bathroom, set up for three people, enough towels and tea tree shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the shower. The shower head had different settings. The only con for our room was it needed and extra mirror.

Got a free upgrade to a spa room but didn't use the spa (it was a fancy Jet tub next to the bed!) Amazing! Beds were comfortable, room was clean and it was quiet. High ceilings were nice. Only bad thing was room cleaners knocked on door early while we had the do not disturb sign still on the door, but it was 11am and checkout was at noon so not a huge deal. I highly recommend this hotel and we'd definitely stay here again!

Awesome place. Very welcoming and accommodating staff.

My wife, our daughter, and I requested a much earlier than normal check in to accommodate our plans for the day. Not only did the hotel accommodate our requested check in, the young lady at the front desk when we arrived was polite, friendly, professional, and made the check in process as smooth and fast as possible, as well as asking if there was anything else we needed or wanted to make our stay better. Unfortunately, her name escapes me at the moment or I would mention her to ensure proper credit is given for such an outstanding job of customer service.

The room itself was clean and comfortable. Housekeeping was just finishing with it when we checked in. The housekeeper was very courteous.

We had a King Spa room and everything worked as it should have.

The only real complaints I have, if one can call them that, is that the jets in the whirlpool seemed louder than I would have expected and my wife noticed that one appeared to be plugged, and housekeeping started trying to come in to clean the room almost 2 hours before checkout which is something that we probably could have avoided by putting a Do Not Disturb sign on the door.

My wife handled checking out and didn't seem to have any concerns or complaints.

Overall, we were as impressed with our stay as we were last weekend, and have already booked a room for next weekend.

My husband and I were traveling from MN and decided to stay here last minute. The booking process was quick and easy, front desk man was warm and inviting and our room was clean! My favorite was that the bath products being Paul Mitchell 😍 Would recommended!

Excellent experience, we stayed in the King Suite with the soaker tub and it was very relaxing! Quiet hotel in a nice area. You do not hear the highway which is a huge plus! The staff is very friendly and they accommodated an early check in which i’m very thankful for. Anytime we stay in Kansas, we will come here. Unforgettable, great experience.

This is an extremely clean hotel & the staff was very pleasant and accommodating. It was nice & quiet. I will definitely stay here again on my future trips to Kansas City.

We had a wonderful stay here after our wedding nearby in De Soto, KS! The employees were so kind! Two employees, Jay and Kate, went out of their way to write us a super nice congratulations card. They also gave us a coupon for a free breakfast at the hotel's Bistro. The hotel itself was very clean, quiet, and comfortable! Thanks for a great stay!

Very happy with our stay. Had to stay overnight because of late/early soccer games. Very clean, newer, liked they had tons of snacks and drinks (alcoholic and non) available. Also there was a Starbucks. Neat concept for breakfast rather than a buffet. You do have to buy your breakfast but it’s no big. The outside firepit, computer areas for the kids and hang out areas served us well. Would come back for sure. Also Andrew was awesome and let us check in earlier than planned.

Front desk attendant was very helpful upon our arrival. The housekeeping staff did a good job at cleaning the room. Over all a great experience at this hotel. Also very close to some gas stations and across the road there is a steakhouse and down the road 2 other very good looking restaurants. Would def recommend this hotel.

The only con I really have is to say they should switch out to LEAD bulbs. For the environment, for better lighting, and for post savings. They could also get some bigger TVs. But e even those two comments weren't enough to stop me from giving them 5 stars.

First class all the way. The manager (Ryan’s) staff goes Above & Beyond to welcome their guests. You can tell they all love what they do. Bistro was awesome! Bistro attendant on Monday night gave us fantastic service. The Housekeepers always had a smile on their faces and also gave fantastic service. This is one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had.

We stayed 3 nights there after a very long trip and 7h time difference. The staff was so nice at paid attention to our requests! Room was every day more than clean! But definitively each member of staff you cross during your stay are above expectations! Thanks!

This is a great hotel. The room was clean, bathroom was very nice (and, again, clean), the TV in our room let us watch Netflix. I tried to think of something to complain about and drew a blank. Would definitely stay there again if I had a need to be in that area overnight.

You know when you find that hotel that you constantly think about and cannot wait to return because everyone you come across there are just outstanding? And you know that hotel that is surrounded by all of the perfect food and entertainment opportunities where you don't need to travel far away to get to? You know when you walk in, and immediately think..."wow, this place is legit" and "they must really care about their business and take it seriously." Well this is that hotel. At this hotel, the rooms are always nice and well kept. The food is great, the drinks are great, the staff is great, even to the point where the General Manager will walk out to greet you because he remembers you from last time. This is that hotel. We truly enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to return. There are great food options within half a mile, as well as a movie theater and a couple of bars. However, we just hung out at the hotel and ordered drinks there one of the evenings. And the associate serving us was fun to talk to. From talking to all of the hotel staff we encountered, you can tell it is ran by a manager who cares about his work and his people and his guests. And usually when that is the case, it is backed by a great hotel company! Most hotels usually have a "nameplates" about who owns it. It said, "RHW." GREAT company!

The first room didn’t have a view and our kids were so bummed but Michelle moved us to a balcony room after I explained and they are having a blast. The rooms are clean and nice and the staff is great. Thank you!

Lovely, unique king-size room in a fresh configuration. Several dim lightning options set off the space. Large bathroom space and toilet is not right under the sink; hooray! Super dark room with many pillows on comfortably firm bed. I was very pleased. Breakfast I thought originally was high priced, $9.50 for a Breakfast Scramble, until I saw the amount of food. Just try to finish the bowl of oatmeal at $3.95. So glad this contemporary property is nearby for last-minute needs.
