Very nice. Felt safe camping with kids. There is a playground and shallow water for swimming in the lake.

What a find! $16 night with 50 amp service! Beautiful lake for swimming, paddle boarding or kayaking. NO reservations. First Come. (need to disclose that we were here on two weekday nights, no crowd) There are a few sites that could handle larger rigs. We are 30’ and fit without un-hitching.

Very tranquil and comforting. The groundskeeper was very friendly. The park was clean and very well kept to be a park. Everyone was hospitable and gracious. The bathrooms were decent to be a park. The showers were clean as well. We will definitely be returning.

The sites are very clean and the host is always available. The enclosed swim area is great for kids but there are minnows that will nibble so be ready to explain that. The sites may occasionally get a bit crowded and loud but kindness goes a long way with most visitors and in the worst case the host is there for everyone’s benefit. Love camping here

Great swimming area and beach! Sandy swim area with no rocks or seaweed. Perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy a nice dip in a lake and enjoy some time playing in the sand. Got there around 11am, and it was not too busy with plenty of room to spread out. We left by 130 and it was getting busier. Heard that it can get pretty packed on a weekend afternoon/evening. Would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back before summer weather ends.

This is a smaller lake compared to the several state parks in the Kansas City area, but this is a County lake/campground. I've been all over the country to state and federal parks and this lake and campground is just as good and much cheaper 🤑

No cost to get in for the day and no vehicle charge!

The lake allows water skiing, fishing, boating, ECT. They have a swimming area. They have day areas to barbeque, picnic and enjoy the lake at No Charge!!! (That means Free)

You do not need reservations to camp!!! First come first serve basis!! It is much cheaper then the state parks. $11 per night for a tent site.(no electricity) and $16 for electric (mostly camper/RV's ) I have seen pop-up campers (so push ,pull or drag it here).

No fee for your vehicle. Pay for your campsite that's it.. You can have 2 tents per site and 4 adu
lts. I see no limit on the number of children.

They have good hot private showers and bathrooms. They sell Firewood $4 for 7 sticks of wood and they sell ice as well..

First time in a kayak, thanks to Sunflower outdoors boat show, the water was warm the sun was hot, it was a great morning at the lake.

The camp managers were great! They were very friendly. They allowed us to switch camp grounds when we asked and made it ultimately a better night.

So you might not know it but Water is there and it's wet. Seriously though you want to go in the middle of the day in the middle of the week and make your own holiday out of it.

This is a good place to go swimming since they updated the bathroom and the beach area.
