The red velvet cupcakes were a hit for my spouse's birthday! I enjoyed how tasty and filling they were, freshly baked. That said I have to warn that these are not diabetic-friendly; they are generous with the icing, which is on the sweet side. 11/10 will buy again though! (PS photo of spouse edited for privacy, but that's really pretty much how his smile looked IRL.)

Oh wow, what a treat 🤩 YOU MUST STOP HERE!!! We just happened to see it when we went to CVS and we were so glad we stopped by. It was after closing time but the “open” sign was still lit and the door was unlocked so we walked in. A nice man came out and said it was after closing but he was just making some frosting. He invited us to pick from any of the already made cupcakes, or he would quickly make anything else we wanted. We took them to go and when we ate them we were BLOWN AWAY! They were SO AMAZING! The cake was light and moist, and the frosting was light and not super sweet, and we all LOVED the flavors we got. The man was so nice and we visited with him for a little bit. Thank you for the wonderful treat!

Highly recommend! I live out of state and ordered through Uber Eats to have cupcakes delivered for my son’s birthday. There was a small mistake on the order, but Blaine went above and beyond to correct it, personally delivered the items that were omitted from the original order, and added an extra treat. My son said Blaine was great and the cupcakes were amazing! We’ll be stopping in whenever we’re in Lawrence for football games. Thanks for the exceptional customer service!

The red velvet cupcake was wonderful - light & moist with the perfect icing to cake ratio! The macaroons were delicious & perfect for those with food allergies. We’ll be back.😋

Amazing cupcakes!! Love this little cupcake shop. Visited for the first time today. The lady working there explained the different types of cupcakes and was very welcoming. Tried the lemon drop, cookies and cream, and strawberry iced. They have cupcakes for your doggos too! 😄

The cupcakes taste like heaven and the owner is amazing. My kid wanted “midnight rainbows” and I had no idea what that meant. Small cakes made a fantastic swirled frosting with sprinkles that thrilled everyone.

Love having gluten free options!! It is so wonderful to have a place to stop in for a little treat! That is so rare when you have a gluten allergy!

My guests were gluten free. Had to order a couple more than I needed, but, the comments re: the cupcakes were "the best they had ever had!" They were baked the morning I needed them & being iced as I walked in the door. Fresh, tasty & well presented.

I ordered cupcakes last minute and spoke with Serena and I had them make 2 dozen for a baby shower. She was so friendly and did exactly what I wanted. They turned out amazing and delicious!

I stopped in here looking for Coffee. I am on a 3 day road trip with my kids and a puppy and the hotel coffee was horrendous. while they DO NOT offer coffee she offered to make me a cup from her personal coffee machine she has in her back room while she's baking. I was so so so appreciative of her and her kind gesture. She was also very sweet to my kids which as a mother is always important to me. The cupcakes were absolutely delicious and the service was outstanding. Thank you so much for making my 3-day drive a little sweeter and a little easier!

The most amazing customer service and cupcakes! Showed up on a Sunday to get my wife some Mother’s Day cupcakes, but they were closed! However, a nice man came to the door and sold us fine anyways - he said anything for mom! Honestly made my day and we won’t go anywhere else! Thank you!!

Small cakes was a new experience for us as we are new to town and also have family in for the holidays and wanted some desserts. These are by far some of the most delicious and moist cupcakes we have ever had! The flavors were fantastic, not too sweet, and absolutely delectable. We went one night and had to go back the next. Would absolutely recommend!

Great customer service, delicious cupcakes, the one w a cherry and chocolate fudge in the middle is my favorite. They even have special cupcakes for your furry friend. All are amazing cupcakes.

I ordered a dozen cupcakes plus 2 specials for a birthday. Our group of women is diverse in age, education and ethnicity. We all thought the cupcakes were beautiful and delicious. We will certainly be back.

Needed to get some cupcakes as a birthday surprise and was not disappointed! The lady who took my order was super nice and very helpful. They have gluten free cupcakes which is awesome, highly recommended.

There are a lot of bad cupcakes out there - great icing with sad, dry cake. Smallcakes Lawrence is definitely not one of them. I stumbled across this shop, somewhat hidden in a strip center near 6th and Wakarusa, and took a chance. I was not disappointed - rich flavors and moist cupcakes, just as they should be, all beautifully designed. I tend to like my lemon flavor with more tartness, but, otherwise, I was very pleased with the selection I bought. My only regret is that I didn't return to try more flavors on my recent trip to Lawrence!
