Sarah's Fabrics

This is one of my favorite fabric stores! As a quilter, I'm always looking for new, different, or just plain weird fabrics, and Sarah's doesn't disappoint. Spent WAY more than I planned, which is an indication of the many choices there are. How do you say 'no' to the 'Red Fish, Blue Fish's Dr Seuss fabric? You don't, which is why I'll be wearing a dress made of it!! Fun, fun place and a terrifically pleasant and helpful staff.

This place is stunning, and overwhelming, and perfection, and so,so fun. If you sew, and you’re within 2 hours of Sarah’s, you should go. Trust me, you won’t regret it!

This is the fabric store of my dreams! All of the styles, colors, fabric types you can think of, with the perfect people to help you find just the right one.

Gem. Plain and simply, a gem. My single fabric store choice on my roadtrip StL to Aspen, Sarah's Fabrics did not disappoint. Rather, this store, their personnel, and unbelievable selection are 100% top notch, and over expectation. The already made pillows, variety of bags, quilts and more are true inspiration to buy and make for myself. In all my many decades of sewing and fabric buying, I was literally Wowed at the meticulous, ingenious method these gals cut every fabric piece from the bolt. I loved it, and was amazed.
The gals in the store were welcoming, helpful, shared suggestions, patient. Customer service is alive and well in Lawrence at Sarah's Fabrics. Special kudos to Lydia, who helped, shared her expertise, and just kind.
You don't want to miss this nearly 50 year old fabric extravagana.

While it's hard to find apparel fabrics anymore, I'm always pleased with the selection and quality at Sarah's. I've bought several different types of dress fabric here and never been disappointed. The quality is top notch and the ladies are friendly and helpful. The selection of prints and colors is pretty remarkable!

Amazing selection of fabrics for all types of sewing. I could have spent hours here and still kept looking. A great salesperson helped us navigate through what felt like thousands of choices. Will definitely be back again soon and so sorry we didn’t find this great store sooner!

This place makes me feel like a kid in a candy store! So many beautiful fabrics that I have to keep myself from buying. The staff is very helpful. The prices are a little high, but the fabric is very high quality. They also offer classes.

My favorite fabric store! I can always find something amazing here for my quilts. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. I felt safe shopping in the store, everyone wore a mask including all the customers.

I live in NY and head to Lawrence once a year to visit a good friend. The best fabric store in the world is in Lawrence. Not only an amazing choice in fabrics but artfully displayed. And what makes a difference is the people. I spent an hour there yesterday and came away with the most perfect choices to finish my grandson’s quilt. Thank you once again!

Sarah's has an amazing selection of quiltng and fashion fabrics. There are some great patterns available as well. I'd been working on gathering fabrics for an "i spy " quilt and I've purchased many of the fabrics here. They also have a great selection of batiks. While i don't like how they cut fabric, they do give a little extra to you can even it out on your own. They have a very diverse selection of many of my favorite fabric designers. Definitely worth a trip. Plan more time than you think you will need.

Walk in and find an unbelievable selection of fabrics. For making skirts and tops, I like to regularly search through knits in the back room. Up front...lots of cottons for quilting or for making smocked dresses. Great, personal, friendly service....just like family.

The ladies at the store let me look around for a good hour just figuring out what I needed, and they gladly answered any questions I had. Had to get a few different squares of felt, they were more than happy to cut up a few. Thank you! I finished my first ever felt project!

Associate Jenna/Jennifer was great. She new exactly what color palette I was looking for to complete a project and her "thread" cutting technique on fabric gives a precise and unmarred finish.

Sarah's is my absolute favorite fabric store for quilting fabrics! I moved from the Southwest three years ago and was used to a wide variety of fabric patterns and colors. When I began visiting quilt shops in the Kansas City area I was hugely disappointed by the general "boringness" of the fabrics. When I walked into Sarah's the first time I knew I'd found a place for my creative soul. Although I continue to stop at any quilt shop in my travels through Kansas, Missouri and Iowa, none has yet come close to Sarah's.

The fabric selection at Sarah's is unmatched! I love stopping in and browsing fabrics. If you love selections from Cotton & Steel and other similar fabric lines, this is the store for you!
