Plato's Closet Lawrence

Just heard about their Grab Bag sale where you get all the clearance you can stuff in a bag for $10. So stoked! I'll be there this weekend! I'm glad I got their text or I wouldn't have known.

I always come here before I purchase any clothing brand new. Most of the stuff here is new or like new. At a way better price. Plus being in Lawrence you find stylish clothes often.

I had some clothes that didn't fit me anymore and still in good shape so I took them inside the store filled out the required paperwork which is all computerized and simple to do and got some cash for them .it was fast,fair and painless. the staff was very friendly and professional. And guided me through the process with no problems,you must have identification to do the selling which is no problem for most people The store is clean and well organized and I did look around and found a shirt I liked .the prices are fair and it was worth the time I spent. Don't know why I didn't do this sooner but don't just listen to my experience, go give them a try for yourself, enjoy.

I love this store! The prices are great for name brand clothes. They have a wide variety of styles and sizes. I always find something cute whether it’s a cute crop top, a comfy flannel, a new pair of jeans, or even a swimsuit. They even have a huge selection of athletic wear. They have it all. I never leave their store empty handed. They also have some great employees!

The people leaving negative reviews are just mad because PC didn't buy any of their old clothes. As a customer shopping for new threads, this place is a Godsend. Great selection at great prices. I always leave with close to 10 new items - very satisfied.

This was a great,place for clothes,for every one. Staff was kind and courteous. Very clean. Very Organized, and great prices. I will be back and I live 50 miles away in the country if that gives you any idea of how much a Farm Hand like me liked it

There some great deals even if you have to search through a lot of product. My daughter found some great outfits for a decent price. Not as much of a selection for men. Staff seemed very friendly when engaged. Over all a great experience.

I thought I would at most get 12 bucks out of my clothes when I brought in two bags I got 30 and I left with a 3/4 of my stuff. They are selective but again it’s about what’s in trend. So it’s understandable. Y’all are awesome!!!!

Trendy clothes at great prices. I get Levi jeans from here all the time and they're always in great shape for half of what they cost new.

Seems like all the one-star reviews are from people complaining that Platos wouldn't buy their clothes...maybe a garage sale or salvation army would be a better place for most old clothes if a second hand store doesn't want them.

I always end up with a few things. The store always has cool music playing (either more modern or like the 90s). There are four fitting rooms (handicap accessible one available) and a bathroom. Everything is categorized, at first its confusing, but most things are labeled by brand or article. Staff looks like they are having fun and busy, always happy to help. Great place to kill two hours or to find an extra pair of work jeans.

Plato's is a great place. It is safe, friendly, professional and they love everyone! You shouldn't just believe everything you read and realize there are always two sides to every story! I go in all the time and they are always so helpful and kind! They really take the time to make sure your questions are answered and that they did everything they could to make sure your experience was great!

They will take everything depends on what you have that is the only reason I don't like that place very much they have great items awesome prices amazing service never had any issues with them at all need more bath and body products

Kind of messy, stuff is packed in. After returning after this previous review, the store was well put together! Regan was extremely helpful and friendly! Thank you! Also, I believe the owner was there and he had no problem helping customers as well. Way better experience this time!!

Chelsea provided great customer service. Everyone was friendly and made us feel at home while we shopped. If your in Lawrence, Platos is a must stop.

After soliciting this kind staff at their pulchritudinous emporium , I immediately resolved all of my previously haunting psychological issues and left the shop squealing like a princess on the eve of my quinceanera.
In a world full of liars, thieves, plane crashes and infectious disease, one can only marvel at such a grand enterprise that exists solely to elevate mankind. God bless Plato and his closet.

I love their selection... The clearance prices are unbelievable....the help is great...the only negative thing I can say is that I got bad cell phone reception in the building. lol

The staff was very helpful and friendly, the clothing selection was beautifully overwhelming and the shoe selection looked like it had been shopped to death by the time we arrived near closing and the pricing was very fair.
