So friendly, patient, and caring! Whether its a planned visit for vaccines or something spontaneously happens to one of my 3 doggies, they are always very flexible and make an appointment available when I call. Mary is very knowledgeable and always helpful, and Dr. May is very patient and understanding when it comes to concerns and questions about the little fur babies. I am a lifelong customer for as long as I have dogs!

I have all my dogs and cats taken care by Dr May, he is an amazing Vet, he always take the time to talk to you and be sure you understand the needs of your pets, Thank you so much to the staff these lady's are very good coordinating all the schedules and working with you to help.

He's a great doctor. And he listens to all of our concerns and helps us address every issue, while offering good service. The staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely worth going to.

Dr. May has incorporated Siever's Vet Clinic in Slater Iowa. In 1983 my family bought a home outside of Madrid Iowa. We had 4 acres, and had 3 dogs. I talked dad into a cat from Polk City, & even though I've alwsys been nervous around horses. He bought me an adult Paint Mare, then 2 shetland ponies, mom's chickens, goats, ducks, emus, pheasants, peacocks, etc. We always went to Jim Sievers Vet Clinic!! And even when I married in 1990b I still took my cats & dogs to Jim Sievers Bet Clinic in Slater Iowa.
Now 36 years later even though I've been living in DSM, & Doc Sievers soldhis practice to Dr May, I STILL drive there for my Vet Clinic, because Dr May (same as Doc. Jim Sievers) wouldn't suggest you do sonething to your pets for an obvious benefit gain to him!!
Today I took my 2 babies (dogs) to him for their shots, my Chihuahua has had a loose took & Dr May could've hurt my baby by pulling the tooth & charging me $$$, however, he (like the Old Vet I've always trusted) told me if it doesn't bother her & it's not inflamed leave it alone. HOW MANY VETERINARIANS do that these days????? THAT'S WHY I'LL DRIVE FROM Far South DSM to Slater!

Dr may is the best vet! He is one of a kind that has a great balance between compassion and realistic expectations of care for our furkids.
