Dutch Country Cafe

We enjoyed a really good lunch at this busy restaurant. Even though they were quite busy we were seated and served quickly and cheerfully. I had the bang bang shrimp basket and my friend had the fish taco basket. The pie looked wonderful but sadly, no room.

Food is great!! I just moved to Kansas and had never heard of this place before. The food is spectacular and the servers are all very nice. I bought some pie, cookies, and bread to take home. I think it'll become a regular thing! I love how fresh everything is. My salad was delicious and everything else looked so good.

Beautiful home cooking recommended by a lady in town. I had the chicken with mashed potatoes and white gravy. Nicky was my waitress. Coconut pie is the most popular. With only one piece left, I didn’t want it to be lonesome, so took it home. See you in four weeks!

We did seem to have to wait a bit for our food to be served, but we were in no hurry, and it was well worth the wait!!!

This place is great. It's always busy so you know the food is fantastic. Servings are generous and the service is fast! Great selection of home cooked country favorites for breakfast or lunch. Several pies available as well as freshly baked bread. There's even a coffee shop attached!

Took an old friend here today. It is a little drive from South KCMO but worth it. Was a beautiful day; clear sky blue and sunny. Our waitress was wonderful. We had coffees, breakfast and took home 1 cinnamon roll and 1 berry fried pie. Everything was great!

Their food is fabulous. Good home cooking and their fried chicken is out of this world. Their homemade pies are made daily and are fabulous. Highly recommend!

Not often I stop to write a review. This place deserves 6 stars. The food was excellent. Service was top notch. I sat at the counter and the staff are constantly cleaning.

Today we had our staff lunch with a total of 16 people. So our waitress had her hands full. She made a few mistakes, but nothing major and totally understandable! I had the BLT with a side of fries, and it was the perfect meal to start my summer off with. Not a fan of the prices, but I definitely will go back for the amazing food!😊

Great food and there frappe are the best around I haven't had one that is better than theirs and the portions of the meals definitely worth the trip

My mom and I were looking for a place to meet for lunch. We just stumbled onto this place by random and I was blow away at how excellent it was. The food and service was top notch. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

The quality of the food at this place is ridiculous! In a good way of course! I can't wait to go back everything was delicious and the staff was so kind.

We stopped eating at large chains in 2020. This gem was a big score! Don't think there was anything on menu over $11, which into days market and inflation is extraordinary!.
The pie was amazing, huge serving.

If you're in the area, make a point to stop by. Really good food. Lot of it is made from scratch. Clean place. Service was fast and friendly. It's our family destination everytime we are in town.

We are from SC & were visiting the area to ride the Prairie Spirit Trail. We ate here 3 mornings in a row. The pancakes are PHENOMENAL & the iced mocha latte, superb! Thank you!

I cannot say enough about this place. The food is so delicious. The best open faced roast beef sandwich I’ve ever had. Staff is beyond friendly. fresh baked bread, desserts, gourmet coffee, you name it this place-is the real deal.

Fantastic cinnamon buns and turnovers. Only wish I had time to try all their pies. I'm picky about my desserts and believe these are homemade

I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant for some of the best home cooked comfort meals around. This was the hot beef sandwich with homemade baked bread and real mashed potatoes and gravy. I also had the iced caramel latte with my meal from their coffee shop. We called ahead to go....took our meal outside to the patio....and enjoyed. Stop and see the bakery within this restaurant as well. Next time...I'm having the chicken friend steak and a piece of homemade pie. Can't wait to return!

First official open day so the service was a bit slow but that’s understandable. The food itself was great, no complaints.
