The food is amazing at this restaurant! The atmosphere was great. Quiet music in the background, great for conversations. We had an excellent server too (shout out to Anna). Overall, we had a very enjoyable time. I highly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely be back.

We were on a road trip and stopped after checking into our hotel. We ordered the Steak Deburgo (a traditional Iowa recipe). The steak was tender enough to cut with a fork and delicious. The side dishes that I had were perfectly done. I had the baked potato and the sautéed broccoli. On top of that it was happy hours with half off bottles of house wine. We sat at the bar for our meal, the bartender Jackie was fantastic! I recommend this restaurant.

This is our second time to eat here. We came thru 2 years ago on a trip from Kentucky to western iowa and stayed here randomly. We came to the restaurant because it was close and easy. It was great. The people are super friendly and helpful. Food was great. I love that the atmosphere was subdued and the music volume was low so you could hear the people with you. So here we are 2 years later and planned to stay here this time because of our last visit. Everything was just as we remembered. The food, people and atmosphere were all exceptional. Thanks so much. Hope to see you on another trip.

I checked into my Hampton Inn hotel with an awesome desk clerk, beautiful Filipina. I can't remember her name but she top notch on her job. She pointed me to the restaurant attatched and handed me a menu. All I could think is all the hundreds if not thousands of hotel restaurants we've hot across the Country that were mediocre. Maybe a few great ones. But this restaurant beats ALL the US ones by far! The only restaurants that compare are those in Japan and the Philippines! Excellent Food, service and people and atmosphere! My tea was never empty, they actually enjoyed serving me new items on the menu! Unbelievable place! It's a Goldmine! Cheers All! 🍻 MAK

Highly reccomend! Food was good, and came out super fast via takeout (15min). Most of all, the host who helped me was very kind. He had short hair and a purple shirt on. I could tell he was juggling a few orders and was busy, but he had memorized my order and even talked to me about my ribs on the way out! Totally Great service! I believe it was the manager who also saw me walking through the restaurant and gestured me toward my takeout meal, very attentive staff.

Exceptional dining experience! Everything about this restaurant was wonderful! The local craft beers and margarita were delicious as were the huge portions of the shrimp fajitas and burger. The guacamole is made specially for each order and was the best I’ve ever tasted including many trips to Mexico. Our server Amanda was awesome and the manager also checked in on us. We were staying at the adjacent hotel but this restaurant is worth a special trip.

I go to 1201 Kitchen on a regular basis. The food is always delicious and the service is always exceptional. We appreciate Lillian and Walter. My friends and I always have a great experience at 1201 Kitchen. We have never been disappointed. It truly is a sleeper in the Iowa city area. Location is great. Atmosphere is great. I highly recommend it!

Love this place for a hotel-bar kinda spot this place has some of the best food in town. I recommend it to anyone looking for a good dining experience. Reasonable prices, great food and knowledgeable staff make for a great spot out of the college student main stream.

Great staff, food and appearance. Super freeway convenient. Wife got the fajita quesadilla and I got the chipotle penne. Both very good and plentiful. The chipotle penne leaned towards spicy which is the way I like it. But for those opposed to spice it may be too much. We tried several of their beers and loved them all and they are from local brewer’s.

Very clean restaurant that has a few items from Bennigan's.
Friendly employees and an especially nice waitress. Thank you for making our 10th anniversary special.

My sister and I watched the Iowa Hawkeyes game here on 10/1 as they opened early for game day. The food, atmosphere, portions, service, pricing and quality were superb, and we really enjoyed ourselves. Thanks so much, and highly recommended!

Had a monte cristo from the bennigans menu. Very thrilled to have that bit of nostalgia. It was delicious and ill be back to try other items.

Food is outstanding, drinks are good, service was great! This is one of the best local places I've been to in a long time! They have a nice bar and also have an outdoor seating area with a fire. Nice atmosphere. The service was excellent, very attentive and will do any special requests you have, they checked on us many times and the owner/manager even came around to see how everything was. It's hard to find good service like that these days, they really go the extra mile. I highly recommend it. My steak was perfectly cooked to perfection as well.

We had a beautiful dinner for under 60 in the Isaac Room with buffet across the hall in State Room. They let us come 4 hours early to set up and bring our own candles, napkins and flowers. Service was very attentive. Food very good. They even had 5 high chairs! We would recommend 1201!

We didn't eat here, but my truck broke down and they let my mom and I sit inside for 3 hours while we waited on roadside assistance to show up to give us a tow home from Coralville to Davenport.

Stayed overnight at the Hampton on our way to Montana and ate here for supper! WOW is all I can say!!! The food, atmosphere and waitress was all ON POINT!!!!! My wife and I had the Chicken fajita quesadillas and the guacamole 😁😁😁 Will be stopping here again on our way back home!!!!!

can't say enough about the dedication of their employees. we recently stayed at the hampton which is connected to them. even during the blizzard of 1/24 they were able to get enough staff to keep it open allowing us the have a cooked meal instead of more hospital cafeteria food. I was even surprised when they had prime rib ready. it was very tasty and not dry and stringy like some have. topped it off with some delicious bread pudding. can't say thank you enough and if we're ever in the area again will be seeing you again.

Such an underrated restaurant. I took my dad and boyfriend here for Gaithersburg day and it was not packed! One waitress was working busy she kept up so well and was still so attentive! She made detailed recommendations and the suggested Drinks were delicious! Margaritas are made with fresh squeezed limes. If you don’t know, fresh squeezed makes all the difference! Perfect for date night!

I had a great dinner here when I stayed at the adjacent Hampton Inn. The street tacos were excellent as was the accompanying rice. My Old Fashioned drink was also top notch. The server was great and the manager stopped by a few times to check on things, too. All in all everything was excellent.

We've been staying at this hotel for quite a few years now and love coming to this restaurant/bar.

Tonight, our bartender (Lilian, I believe) was as good as they get. She had a great attitude, She was always smiling, she had a busy section and didn't miss a beat.

As a restaurant owner myself, it was awesome to have Mike, the manager, come check on us once we had our food in front of us. It's not something I see a lot of.

P.s. The guacamole is the absolute best.
