Rustic River Cabins Savanna Illinois

Amazing stay! Very cozy, a great way to spend a romantic getaway. Very clean, had enough kitchen tools to cook a simple dinner. Central heating worked well. Get Cabin 2 or 3, they apparently have the best views, and don't forget to spend some time enjoying the sunset. The only thing I didn't like was the futon, I just personally hate futons and would have preferred a pull-out couch, but that's such a minor preference that shouldn't affect the rating

The view was absolutely breathtaking! To me rustic implies bare bones and "rough" camping. This cabin was absolutely beautiful and had everything anyone would need and then some. We stayed on a chilly night and had no problem at all staying warm. The only downside was that we could only stay one night. I told my family and quite a few are going to look in to booking their own stay. Can't wait to go back!

Perfect, cosy, and very clean. We stayed a night for our wedding anniversary. Walking distance to town and next to the Vets memorial. We had cabin 3 and the views were spectacular. Definitely coming back here. Very reasonable in price. They have two grills and a fire pit. Bring wood, charcoal and lighter fluid. They have the cabin stocked for kitchen, bathroom. Cabin 2 also has a great view of the Mississippi. Loft sleeps up to 4 people and the main floor has a futon. Microwave, small fridge and stove. Beds were very comfortable. Nancy the owner is also very nice. Hope this helps.

Clean, beautiful, pet-friendly cabins! We plan on going back as soon as we can. We loved hiking at the Mississippi Palisades- it was a convenient 5 minute drive away. The hosts also had lots of other great recommendations of things to do in the area, so we will definitely be going back.

This place is amazing!! Found and booked it through airbnb with a slight apprehension but turned out awesome! Cozy, Rustic and gives the authentic experience of living in a cabin! Not so far from Savanna downtown, yet quite separate from the main road traffic. A perfect place for a weekend getaway!

We went here for the first time. This was for a long romantic hiking weekend with our two dogs. The cabin was clean modern and comfortable. The hosts were very nice. The porch overlooking the river was spectacular for plein air painting of the sunsets. We hiked everyday in Mississippi Palisades Park. There intermittent loud train horns and motorcycles so if that's not okay then reconsider. I found both sounds soothing. Lots of birds for bird watching. Peaceful and perfect for hikers and pet lovers.

Nestled in a wooded Grove just off the Mississippi River. Just a few miles south of the Palisades State Park. The cabins boast a modest kitchen, modern bathroom, couch, and even cable television. Easily a home away from home. Pet friendly. We brought our cat. Our cabin had 2 queen beds in the loft and the couch pulled out into a bed as well. Perfectly comfortable for up to 6 people. Other amenities:

Absolutly true to the pictures. Cabin #3. Breathtaking view. Very clean, rustic, secluded on a hill of its own. Owner/managment very helpful, friendly, informative. We will be back.

I loved the cabins as they really have everything you need and I highly recommend checking out the surrounding areas.

First time here and it was comfortable. Has everything you need fridge microwave stove sink and fluffy pillows. Definitely will come back one day. Friendly office.

Wife and I stayed here over this past weekend. Her first time, my second. Arrived Friday afternoon, checked out Sunday. HANDS DOWN AMAZING!! Clean, well-kept cabins, and fully furnished with pots, pans, silverware, plates, oven, stove, microwave, fridge/freezer, bedding, and even cable!! We were on our Harley and didn't need to pack anything but our clothes. Owners are super friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to visit again!! THANK YOU!!

Great place to stay in Savannah. Cabins are well maintained, very clean and great air conditioning.

Go up here every year for hunting season. Been staying at these cabins for 4 years in a row now. Have stayed many times in between that too. Love the views and the location. Cabins are cozy and perfect for a weekend getaway

Very clean cabin. Air was on when we arrived which was SO appreciated. Functional kitchenette, plenty of hot water, great view of the Mississippi, friendly owner. Nice covered porch.

So lovely, and the proprietors are friendly, generous, professional and helpful.

We had a mishap with Airbnb the wrong dates were entered in. This was no fault to the host. They were very accommodating and friendly. They gave suggestions on places to go and things to do. Cabins were clean and comfortable. Dog friendly, accommodating to our several small dogs. Beautiful view of the Mississippi River from our deck. Gas and charcoal grills available at each cabin with a picnic table and fire ring. 2 beds and a fold out couch. Amana fireplace which kept it warm on cool nights. Large TV in living room area. We had a great time. Check out Poopy’s bar for tribute bands in Savannah. We also did hot air balloon from On the fly out of Galena. Amazing.

I’ve stayed here multiple times over the last couple of years, and I always have a good experience. The cabins are VERY clean and in good condition. Wonderful views of the river, as the property is on a bluff.

Nancy & Matt were our wonderful hosts over the New Year holiday. Our cabin was neat, clean, and cozy. We had an exceptionally quiet stay and enjoyed every second of it!
