Fennellys' Irish Pub

This is a great Irish Pub. They have a great local selection of beers and even have a good Guinness and Harp.

The food at Fennellys was very fresh and well cooked and seasoned. The Fish and Chips were the table favorite with the Reuben coming in a close second!

The space was very nice and larger than expected.

The staff was friendly and helpful.

Will be sure to check this place out again.

We stop here every time we travel through the area. This time we called a few days ahead to request an entire banoffee pie. We've had this in Ireland and Scotland, and they make it so authentic!! The owner had it ready when we passed through and we also enjoyed an amazing lunch. The mushroom soup was fantastic!!! We've been to Ireland 5 times, and this pub captures the look, feel and friendliness of Ireland. Slainte Mhath!

We visit a lot of pubs and this is as good as any of them. They have numerous authentic dishes and it’s good food. The decoration is good and it’s a clean restaurant. The only complaint is the crust on the stew was completely uncooked. The uncooked crust was not good but the stew was hot and good. The back. Wrapped pork loin was very good!!

Best Rueben ever!!! Homemade corned beef and thousand island dressing. The bread is from the bakery down the street. Super service as well! Truly a can't miss meal!!

We come to Elkader a couple of times a year, and this will definitely be a regular stop. The food was sooo good!

If you don't eat here you're missing out!! The Irish egg rolls are wonderful, however they pale in comparison to the corned beef and cabbage! Best beef and cabbage I've ever had! Nice beer selection too. Just eat here.

Great food, great small town hospitality

If you love starwars you'll love all the clone trooper helmets and storm trooper helmets. Also they had two life size Droid statues as well as an original mandalorian suit. Great food!

I had Boxty with an Irish BLT. My dinner was wonderful. Boxty I would describe as an Irish way of making mashed potatoes. They are delicious.

Small town wholesome moment. My gf and I ate here for a late lunch and were the only folks in the restaurant. At some point while there, my gf dropped a $20 bill and didn't know. Hours later they refunded my credit card for the $20 bill, assuming it was us. Also the corned beef sandwhich was superb. Thanks Fennellys!

Absolutely great people, and amazing food. I was surprised (pleasantly so) by the Star Wars memorabilia all over. They even had The Empire Strikes Back playing! What an experience. I would definitely, highly recommend Fennelly's, and plan to return in the future.

Small town Iowa bar offers a a piece of Americana that you love about the Midwest. In the north Iowa town of Elkader. Offers a selection of local beers and good menu selection of tasty comfort food. I had through Reuben with fries which was excellent and very filling. Take time to stroll thru the town historic district and enjoy the river views, gift shops, and old town 4 story Hotel converted to consignment shops. Be sure to visit Virgi at Pedretti's Bakery , select a fresh baked pastry, bread loaf, or cookie and chat a while with Virginia about local history.

Great place. I always go here every time I'm in the neighborhood. I'm not the only one that thinks so. They've even been featured in a magazine. They have a great bar and promote a lot of craft beers. There is always something different, which I like.

They have the best French frys! Love the Reubens too. Actually haven't had anything I didn't like 👍

Great food and fantastic atmosphere! There is a unique blend of Star Wars and Irish at this pub. Owner is super friendly and cares deeply about the food they make! Try the Irish egg rolls, you will not be disappointed!!!

The best place ever. And they know how to pour a proper pint of Guinness.
