This is a gem. It’s hard to find good food and a kid friendly atmosphere. I had the club wrap, my son had a croissant and breakfast sausage and my husband had the country fried steak breakfast. It was delicious as was their coffee. If you are ever passing through give this place a try.

Delicious food! My wife thought it was a little too greasy but I thought it was great! Simple environment but very clean, with tvs and background music. Very nice attendants. Today we ordered Mozzarella sticks, cheeseburger and meatballs sandwich. Very good taste! I'm looking forward to come back for their Sunday breakfast buffet!

We love going for the breakfast buffet and it just gets better every time. I’m telling you, that gravy is AMAZING! Put it on anything and you’ll be happy. The ladies are always so nice and perky. Definitely a great place to go and a great small business to support.

Nice small town business. Ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap and substituted the ranch dressing for the Creamy Parm. This was delicious and I will be back.

Love this place! Read a review on a Facebook food group tonight and we headed right out to try it ourselves. Food was beyond amazing and the waitress was so friendly, we will totally be back for Hot Beef night and Sunday Brunch!

What a wonderful, literally mom and pop, restaurant. We love going there for breakfast on the weekends. Food is really good and the wait staff and owners are very pleasant.

Garlic Cheese Curds were PHENOMENAL! Stuffed tots were a delicious twist. And of course, the always amazing Buca-Wich! Great small town restaurant and super welcoming staff!

What a great place to stop and eat! There was a regular menu with breakfast, lunch and dinner options. We choose to eat the breakfast buffet which was delicious! Clean restroom! Great service! And if you enjoy alcoholic beverages with your food, they offer that too!

Well...we stopped for the Sunday breakfast buffet.... Workers were very kind....very friendly... Food tasted great!!!! Some fabulous bakery items to go were very very good!!!! I would recommend that if u r in the Mitchellville Iowa area, u stop to have a bite here!! U will b glad I did....

This cute, clean little restaurant is definitely worth a visit! The menu is adequate, well thought out, and has a great selection for breakfast or lunch. I had the breakfast burrito which was bursting at the seams with delicious fillings and was more than I could handle. The attentive service from Nikki (I think that is her name?) was outstanding and I never had to ask for a refill.

I was referred out to this location by a friend with the statement "it's a drive but it's worth it!". I am a bit of a foodie, so this last Saturday I took the drive (18 Minutes from the east side of Des Moines straight out Hubbell to 46th to the Mitchellville turn, easy enough for a good meal.) I pulled in and the first thing I see is a large sign declaring "We're not Gourmet, We're just damned good!" My mind promptly replied "Sure, show me." I went in waited for a moment or two and was informed I could sit any where I liked. Being alone I took the bar. Right off I noticed a very relaxed vibe. Check one box. The next thing I noticed they have a nearly full bar with Mimosa and Bloody Mary's available. Check another box. I asked the very friendly young lady what was good. She informed that the "smothered home fries" were quite popular and I went with it. While I waited, I asked about there Sunday buffet ($13.95 all you can eat.) She said it's has a wide variety and I should check it out. About 15 minutes later my food arrived. It was a little cooled but still warm enough to eat without complaint. It was at this point I found out it didn't come with toast despite my asking the wait person if it did when I ordered it. I ordered toast and rather than waiting for it to arrive I went ahead and got started. All home style food prepared perfectly. In short, I was impressed and found the food was, indeed, quite good and worth the trip. The service was also very good and friendly with but a few short falls. Nothing I would call a big deal. Just a few quirks. I would suggest adding toast to the loaded dishes because, hey, who wants to leave any of that awesome gravy on the plate? Not this guy that's for sure. They are also a service stop for a bakery and I happily snagged a couple packs of homemade buttercream sugar cookies on the way out. They were lights out. In closing, it was a good venture and I felt full and satisfied on all levels as I departed.

Had breakfast on Saturday and it was really good. The drinks were good I had a jack and coke and it was mixed great. The smothered potatoes were super filling and tasty. Friendly service. I will stop by again.

Absolutely love this place. The food is amazing and the service is even better. We always get greeted at the door with a smile. Our food is always warm and delicious!! It has become our Sunday spot!
