The best jewelry store I ever bought from and will never ever go to another store. Ray the owner who will take the time to educate you on gold, diamonds, sapphire or anything else you want and more importantly need to know about certain characteristics of stones and precious metals. I always dreamed of designing my future wife's ring and Ray sat with me at great lengths. Through many, texts and emails and office visits trying to bring the vision that I had in my mind to reality. Ray was determined to bring my dream to fruition and he did just that and ended up with a unique and one of a kind engagement ring. That NO ONE will ever have a duplicate ring of and after a horse and carriage ride through Central Park, Manhattan,NY I proposed to her in her favorite spot in the park Bethesda Fountain ⛲ and she said, "YES." Ray is genuinely a great man and does even better business and for less. He also created a matching necklace for the ring because she loves turtles take a look at the photos.

Love these people. The next generation has stepped forward, and their energy and skill set is solid. I love that they have some estate items that are affordable and retro.

I came to Ray with a pencil drawing of a ring design after being turned away from jewelers in NYC saying my it would be too complicated and costly to create. Although it was not easy, Ray was able to source the right partners to make it a reality. I absolutely love my custom ring and the special journey from it's conception to the execution. With Ray, it seems the sky is the limit!

I have purchased so many pieces through Ray, including my engagement and multiple wedding bands, watch and wedding band for my husband, and many customized pieces for family members that Ray has helped me to create. I’ve been here a few times to get watch batteries replaced and get watch bracelets sized for me. They always do a great job and work on the watch carefully. Even though these are small jobs, they still treat me like a valued customer and are very friendly.

Pick up my fiance and earring for Valentine's Day because he had lost his. The store was amazing to work with. First off I only had to buy one earring and not to several other Jewelers would not sell a single earring. In addition I got an absolutely amazing price for what I was looking for. The service was so great that when it was time to sell some rings I no longer need it I went back. I feel I got a very fair price. Since I was in the market to get another ring essentially we did a trade plus I got additional cash back. The staff is very friendly and helpful and I am having the Ring Of My Dreams custom made for my upcoming wedding. I will never go to another Jeweler again. I am a customer now for life.

Ray has excellent quality pieces at excellent prices. His store isn’t flashy and glitzy so he doesn’t have to mark up his prices like other retailers. His pieces are high quality and beautiful and he will work with you on getting what you would like on a budget you can afford . Wish I could give him 6 stars .

Ray is incredibly helpful and unbelievably patient and considerate. He had multiple diamonds shipped in for me to personally inspect. He then created a stunning engagement ring and came in under budget! I've bought multiple rings and watches from him and will continue to do so. Shop doesn't look like much from the outside, but the items which come out of the store are beautiful.

I can not say enough great things about Ray at the Gold and Diamond Exchange! Ever since I got engaged I knew exactly what I wanted for a wedding band, but no one could do it for me. I must have gone to over a dozen stores and spent hours online. My friend (whose father introduced her to the G&D Ex) suggested I check out his options. After 5 minutes with Ray, we had combined 3 different bands to create my dream wedding band. A week or so later I got my band and it was perfect. I love it. Ray knows exactly what he is doing, the price is right, and I guarantee his expertise will save you time.
