Sapore Pizzeria & Bar

We ordered delivery, on a Friday night. Everyone in town had the same idea, so they were a bit busy. The delivery driver called us to let us know the estimated time of arrival, and was very kind when she dropped off our order. Y’all, the pizza was worth the (short) wait! Delicious sauce, great crust, plenty of toppings. 10/10 recommend, definitely check them out. Between the kind & thoughtful staff and the great food, we will definitely be returning customers!

This is a covid 19 takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. This was an excellent experience. I ordered a side dish of meatballs and a Grandma's Pizza. The meatballs were some of the best I have ever had in a restaurant. Juicy, flavorful, and tasty throughout with plenty of sauce. The Grandma's pizza was also excellent. Very nice crust, great sauce with a little bit of tang, just a big time winner. And the people were extremely pleasant and helpful. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 9.6.

Why is that so important? They are young, innovative, and hungry to make their dream come true. It shows in their efforts, cleanliness, and especially food.

Their greek salad was fresh, flavorful, and had a light style that salads are supposed to invoke.

I always thought pizza was just pizza and never understood how one was better than the other. This place makes a difference. Their thin crust style remains crispy with plenty of flavor. Toppings stay intact and there's no major greasy mess.

I understand what good pizza means now.

Their speciality pizzas are mindblowing. A green chili aioli sauce on their wildcat pizza adds a mouthwatering taste to a slice with a kick.

I could go on forever or you could just go and try it for yourself.

Best Pizza in Old Lyme and probably the vicinity as well. The sauce is powerful with its flavors. The dough is that perfect blend of crunchy outside and chewy on the inside. Toppings are generous and excellent quality! I’m a regular once a week here!

Relocated from New Jersey…we’ve been searching for great pizza without any luck (sorry CT)! And then we found Sapore! Delicious pizza, great bread for sandwiches! We still love our NJ pizza, bagels and pork roll, but Sapore makes us happy!

My fiancé and I just moved into the neighborhood, and we were looking for a good pizza place with delivery. We came across Sapore Pizzeria and we decided to give them a try and wow did they impress! Quick service, delivered within 30 minutes, food was hot, pizza was one of the best I have ever had. We had guests over from NY, and they were impressed too. My favorite is the Grandma’s Pizza. Highly recommend! We haven’t been able to dine in yet, but definitely will in the future. If you’re looking for a great pizza place, look no further!

I really enjoy dining here, a great atmosphere and a good layout for the size of the restaurant. The pizza is solid, I would rate it a 7.8 out of 10. The hot wings sauce is nothing special but are good size wings. The staff are great, I've never had an issue. I have gone here a handful of times and plan to keep going back as long as they keep up the excellent service

Unbelievable quality! I took one bite and I truly couldn't be more Impressed! I would recommend this to any one of my friends; even the harshest critics. The Artistry of the pizza is beautiful and taste is amazing and to taste as spectacular as it does is feat in itself!

I live locally and other pizza does not compare. The owner is from Italy and obviously takes great pride in his restaurant and the quality of his food. There is not a better value for your money for hot food around, period. I have tried a variety of dishes and pizzas and I have ZERO complaints. The chicken tenders are definitely breaded by hand and fantastic, the crust on the pizza is perfect and the red sauce is light, not too sweet or cooked down into dark red paste. Everything is fresh, priced well and the menu is diverse. I wanted to write this review just so he gets more exposure.

I love, love love this place!
When it comes to Italian food, I am really picky. And I usually am unimpressed with the food in Italian restaurants, but Sapore is my hands-down favorite. Linguine and clams with Manilla clams is not-to-be-missed! Great salads, pizza, you really can't miss.

We’re new to town and went here the other week. This place is a gem! We’ve now ordered take out several times and it’s our new go to place. Best pizza we’ve ever had! We feel lucky to have such a great spot in town.
