Thank you so much to Gabriella and team at Zest! They created the most amazing and delicious wedding cake and mini dessert bar for our wedding 10/6/23! I cannot speak highly enough about Gabriella and Zest, from initial booking and sampling of cakes and desserts to our wedding day they did a great job and were so easy and accommodating to work with. These desserts and cake were also so good! I will be ordering more desserts from Zest in the future! Thank you all so much, everything was beyond my expectations!

Gabriella was great to work with for our wedding in August 2023! We visited the bakery to pick up a sampling of cakes/fillings/frostings and everything was delicious. We chose our options and emailed her and she confirmed right away. We ordered a small two-tier cake for us and a small one-tier cake for my parents, whose 50th anniversary was a week after our wedding. Both cakes were delivered on time and looked beautiful, and were exactly what we were hoping for! I'd recommend this bakery to anyone planning a wedding in the area!

I’ll never get a cake anywhere else! They made the best cake for a friends bridal shower and everyone loved it! Gave them the creative freedom to do what they thought would look best and they killed it. Everything tasted amazing and team was so friendly too. Highly recommend!

Zest bakery and the folks that run it did a wonderful job on our Wedding Cake, this summer. We worked with Zest and Gourmet Galley together to cater our big day, and Gabriella and team did a beautiful job. They created a stunning Cake that pulled perfectly and professionally from the references we chose for our “look”, and they even went so far as to work with a close friend of ours who was hand-carving a unique wedding topper, to make sure they could coordinate the cake design and size. We really appreciate the extra effort and care put into everything and the ease of communication. The Lavender and Lemon flavors we chose were delicious! We highly recommend them for whatever service you might be considering! :)

Gabriella is absolutely amazing to work with! I plan weddings for a living, so I had the pleasure of working with her for years before it came time for my own wedding. We honestly didn’t even look at any other bakeries since we knew Zest was who we wanted! We had a non-traditional small cake with a cheesecake on bottom and a carrot cake on top. Gabriella made it look amazing! Not to mention how fantastic all the other desserts she provided were as well! Especially the cake pops that we used as place card holders. People are still talking about them! If you are looking for visually stunning desserts that taste as good as they look, you have found the right place at Zest!

Zest made an incredible 3-tiered cake, so elegantly decorated for our Wheeler High School 50th Class Reunion in June 2023. It was absolutely delicious.

Zest Fresh Pastry is simply the best! Zest recently provided the cake, cookies, scones, and quiche for my daughter's baby shower. The cake was beyond delicious and, even more, a piece of art! Everyone raved about how wonderful everything tasted, and I raved about the great Zest staff--so helpful with their advice and attentive to every detail. A wonderful experience and such sweet additions that made my daughter's day much more special. Thank you!

Yummy treats and sweets ! Staff is super friendly and the location is inside the Velvet Mill. One of my favorites in the area. I forgot to take a picture of the fantastic cookies I purchased.... but oh boy the cookies were delicious!

We had Zest make the dessert for our wedding and they were incredible. Gabriella was so easy to work with, as she was prompt in communication and exceeded our expectations with the treats. We had a dessert table, with many different options and 100% of the desserts were gone by the end of the night. Thanks again, Gabriella!

Zest Fresh Pastry baked us the most delicious cake for our wedding! We had a 3 tier cake with alternating flavors, and a separate gluten free cake for my husband. Both cakes were unbelievably delicious, and we had so many compliments from our guests about how delicious they were - particularly the chocolate flavor! I made it a point to save all of the leftovers, which we ate for days after. Thank you to Gabriella for working with us to have the most delicious cake at our wedding!

We used Zest for our wedding cake! Gabbie was SO great to work with and the cake looked beautiful-exactly how I imagined and more! We opted for a champagne flavored cake with raspberry mousse and fresh raspberries, perfect for summer time! It tasted so fresh and light and the presentation was absolutely gorgeous! The cake, itself, was light and airy with a melt-in-your-mouth feel. It had the perfect amount of frosting and wasn't an overpowering taste of sweetness. Our guests raved about it and we knew we had made the right choice! Thank you so much, Gabbie, for making our wedding day perfection!

We got a cheesecake from Zest for a relative's birthday. She had a slice over the summer and requested the whole cake for her birthday. It was delicious. The berry compote on top was amazing and the vanilla stands out in the cheesecake. We failed to take many pictures once the cake appeared because we were literally all focused on eating it! I also appreciate the wide variety of gluten free options at Zest. It is hard to find a variety of GF options like they have at Zest. The carrot cake is my favorite!

Zest did our cake for our art deco/Gatsby themed wedding and we couldn't be happier! It came out beautifully and was so delicious. This was a relief to find, as our first cake vendor didn't work out, and we had to scramble last minute to find a new one. We are excited to eat the rest of the cake on our anniversary!

I was so lucky to find Zest! The champagne cake with strawberry compote and marscapone filling wedding cake was incredible!!! They also made special cupcakes for me- hummingbird- that were out of this world. All of my guests commented on how delicious it all was. Thank you Gabriella!!!

The best cheesecake I've had in all my life. The berries were chilled and juicy and the cheesecake was soft, fluffy, and creamy.

I ordered about 4-5 pastries, all were delicious. My favorite was the chocolate raspberry bundt cake. But the lemon square and strawberry pop tart were also very good. The biscuits are definitely rich, as most buttermilk biscuits are. I haven't tried the kombucha on tap yet, but I will be back soon. OH! and they have homemade dog biscuits for $1.00, and there's tables in the middle of Velvet Mill to sit and hang with a friend over coffee and pastry

There are so many things that I love about this place I'm not entirely sure where to start.... The shop is located inside of an old mill. The co-owners are really great people and they just opened up another bakery on the West Coast recently. I typically purchase a minimum of $25 worth of goodies every time I'm there in the form of sweet and savory scones, macaroons, brownies, cookies, coffee, quiche, cinnamon buns, and/or marshmallows. They also make wedding and birthday cakes and have cupcakes.

I asked if a specialty cake (Ube cake - purple Filipino cake) could be made and they made it. It exceeded my expectations and was delicious!!

Many of the ingredients they use is from local farms within CT & RI. I love how they support the farms.

Zest did a great job on our wedding cake! They put our wedding topper on and the floral arrangement which came out beautiful. The cake itself was very pretty, and we received a lot of compliments on how good the cake tasted. We chose banana cake with mascarpone filling and chocolate cake with peanut butter filling, and both were excellent. The cake was very fresh and moist, and the frosting was not too sweet. Zest was easy to deal with and delivered the cake to the venue without a hitch. Thank you!!

Both cakes looked great and tasted delicious. I will use this place again in the future!

While visiting Stonington for a family birthday, we were looking for someone to make a gluten free birthday cake. Another bakery in the area recommended Zest (the ultimate complement!)and we couldn’t be happier! The gf carrot cake was beyond delicious and everyone raved about the quality. Communication was easy and immediate so we had no concerns during our birthday weekend and loved how amazing the cake turned out! Thank you Zest!!
