9 East Hibachi & Asian Kitchen

I don’t have many pictures of this place have taken a video but google doesn’t allow videos. Decor is amazing - I loved the gold fish pond with Buddha statue. Food was fresh and tasty. The best was the fried cheesecake dessert - this is the first time I had it- omg it was so good!!

Entertaining hibachi with talented chefs. This hibachi is in an updated Asian style restaurant, while it is pretty inside, I personally like the feel of the old hibachi on the other side of town.
The chefs are playful and will squirt sake into your mouths from the bottle and play catch with the vegetables.
The food is delicious, as with any Asian dish. At the hibachi, you start out with a bowl of miso soup and a bowl of salad. For the dinner, I recommend the complete hibachi dinner with steak, which also comes with some shrimp.
There was never any problems with any meals anytime I've been there, so I wouldn't sorry about getting your order wrong. (Besides, at the hibachi, the chef literally makes your meal in front of you)

My boyfriend proposed to me here and the ambiance was very romantic 🥰!! The food was mouthwatering delicious and it’s my new fave restaurant in Branford. My server was Ebony and she knows how to draw customers in! Love it 😍

I came for lunch specials on a weekday. I had the Maki lunch special which included: one salad, one miso soup, one avocado roll and one vegetable roll. They were very fresh ! I also ordered a Shirley Temple for a beverage! My guest had the steak and shrimp hibachi lunch special.. that came with a hibachi mushroom soup and fried 🍚 rice. All delicious and fresh. Our waitress was friendly, courteous and at the top of her game! Water, salads, soup, lunch, beverages and the bill was delivered in a timely manner. Everything appeared to be fresh and the service was excellent!

I don't give out five stars very lightly. There has to be a lot of good things at a restaurant for me to give it so it's five stars. From the time we walked in to the time we left those people including the owners and all the staff were concerned with giving good service. Most Asian restaurants I've been to the management is not that friendly and sometimes the wait staff is not very friendly but not here at Nine East Hibachi & Asian Kitchen the staff was friendly the manager and the owner were attentive. Language was not a problem they were able to explain the dinners accurately. I have to tell you my dad completely enjoyed the wonton soup and he's had wonton soup from many different Chinese restaurants and he also enjoyed the General Tso's chicken and he said about both that this was the best wonton soup and best General Tso's chicken he's ever had. Now I'll tell you that I'm quite picky about my Thai food and I was very happy with my red Chicken curry. They didn't overdo the coconut milk they didn't make it too hot and spicy but just enough. It was quite flavorful and the chicken was cooked to Perfection tender juicy white meat. Now it seems like they serve jasmine rice with it would be nice to have basmati rice with the meals it's my favorite but the jasmine rice was pretty good and there was plenty of sauce. the service was so good she came out almost instantly with the wonton soup and then just about when he was done with the wonton soup the dinners came and we were very happy because we were hungry after a full day of on an outing.

It's quite easy to find if your navigation doesn't get Frozen like mine did. The restaurant was quite clean. There were no bad smells anywhere. Including the restrooms.

Our dinners were $16 each there are higher-priced meals ours were 2 of the lower priced meals. The portion size was very good.

I guarantee you will not be disappointed if you go there this restaurant is not going anywhere during the pandemic and after the pandemic you will probably need to make a reservation.. this is a great restaurant choice for people that like different types of Asian food. Hats off to them for being able to do more than oneb type of Asian food and to do it all well. I will definitely tell my friends about this place and I will definitely be back! I hope you get to enjoy this delicious Asian Experience!

This was our first time going to a hibachi grill within the US; the service here was amazing as well as their extensive menu! The chef did a great job performing for us and keeping us entertained. The food was delicious and left us wanting to come back again soon.

Ben there twice now. Both times it exceeded expectations. Most recent visit there was a child crying and screaming. One of the employees, it looked like owner/manager, brought fish food to the child, so the child could feed the fish in the koi pond. Really quick thinking and thoughtful. It was a nice touch.

The best hibachi in the area, bar none. Clean restaurant and facilities, friendly staff, delicious food, and plenty of menu options. Staff are accommodating even though we arrived a few minutes late for our reservation time. Reservations are a must, especially on weekends! Hibachi seating fills up quick but it’s worth every penny. Thanks for another wonderful night with friends!

Great food and so much to choose from. The drinks are delicious too, great service and nice atmosphere.

Best of the best! Crab Rangoon is amazing! Try the beef and chicken combo! And don’t miss the Scorpion Bowl

This restaurant is by far the best Asian fusion restaurant I've ever eaten in the food was utterly delicious came out hot and fresh!!! The servers were fast friendly and efficient!!! First time I've eaten here last night with my son and his family, I will DEFINITELY be back!!! OUTSTANDING FOOD, SERVICE the decor is BEAUTIFUL! The drinks are DELICIOUS TOO!!! lol. You will not be disappointed!

This place is great. Love the decor they have a koy pond, and a giant Buddha statue. The hibachi chef was hilarious, and the food was excellent.

Food is delicious and atmosphere is fantastic. However be aware when ordering take out the portion is smaller than the dine in portion Even though you pay the same price. For take out I ordered vegetable mei fun and the portion was half the size I received when I dined in the restaurant. I won't be ordering take out again

My nieces organized a birthday dinner for me in this restaurant and it was a wow. The food is good the waiters were super receptive. The highlight of my visit was when they they did a birthday song for me; that was really sweet of them. Just want to use this opportunity to thank the management for their warm reception and urge you to keep up the good work.
