Brickside Pizza

This is a takeout review. All food is eaten promptly in the vehicle. I had a pepperoni pizza and a sausage and onion stuffed bread. The stuffed bread was outstanding, a beautiful flaky crust with loads of flavor and house made marinara. The pizza was excellent. Great crust, although I would have liked a little crisp on the bottom. Very nice sauce to cheese ratio with a tasty(and wonderfully cupped) pepperoni. A bonus were the three people working the store. Just great personalities. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 9.1.

Great small pizza place with a single brick wood-fired oven. It's worth the trip! I recommend the shrimp scampi pizza!

Came here when visiting family a year ago - A more authentic New Haven/CT style pizza you will not find. Made to order right in front of you, some of the best pizza I've ever had. Heading back to CT this fall to visit family again and making this place a priority stop.

I came from Ohio to try the regions best pizza among other things. This place Hold s up LIKE A CHAMP to new haven pizza 🍕. I did the tour this day and brickside took 2nd of 5 places I went that day. PLUS I loved the one on one experience getting to chat with the owner etc. Please support this locally owned gem 💎

NOW THIS PIZZA PLACE! Is AMAZING!!! My boyfriend LOVES pizza and it’s so hard for him to find a really nice, flavorful, chard, pizza that will hold toppings. When we moved back down to the shoreline and we were finding out what our little town holds we smelled this amazing smell, and we couldn’t figure out where it was coming from till we walked around the corner.

The aroma first off just smelling it down the street, and being able to follow the smell, oh my god it’s mouthwatering. They have seating outside, it’s cute. You walk in an it’s kinda tight but again, very cute in the inside. The people are also super friendly inside, and make sure that your order is correct they read it back!

When we got our pizza it SMELLED AMAZING! We were super excited especially him. When we got home and opened it was beautiful, chard, nice toppings, not to greasy! Which was my favorite part because I don’t have a gallbladder. Yes, the pizza is kinda expensive, but, when you bite into this, you understand why! Honestly, my boyfriend loves there pizza and only orders from here now unless we are in clinton, or New Haven. Honestly this place deserves a 10/10.

Great pizza, right up there with the best in New Haven.

Brickside makes excellent, wood fired, well charred, Neapolitan style pizza. Its a prototypical “hole-in-the-wall” (but very clean) place doing take out only and whole pies (no slices), which is what a good no frills pizza place should be, letting the food talk for itself. In good weather there are a couple tables outside. Specialty pizzas range from classic styles like margherita and white pies, to new american styles like chicken bacon ranch and buffalo chicken, along with their own awesome creations. Everything we have tried has been amazing, including our first calzone, which in NY style places I feel are too heavy, but at Brickside it was much better balanced and probably the best I’ve ever had. For recommendations we love the chicken bacon ranch, margherita, white pie, cauliflower crust for GF (over GF crust b/c it is not as crispy), and the calzone we had was prosciutto and basil. Also, the staff has always been very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend.

Always the BEST pizza on the shoreline! These guy's are the greatest and make unbelievable pies! They take great pride in what they make and the results show this. You won't go wrong going here, need more than 5 stars to rate them!!

Pizza is amazing! Crust is perfectly crispy and thin! We had the Buffalo Chicken, Margarita and the special with prosciutto and arugula. All of them were delicious! Brought my parents from MA and now they want to move to CT so they can get this pizza every week! Can't wait to go back and try some other menu items :)

The only one we go to now. Consistent and homemade. Stuffed breads are outstanding. Pizza crust has that nice lightweight stretchy quality to it. I love seeing my husband excited to order one. Haha!

Had the cauliflower dough with prosciutto arugula it was so good. Would highly recommend this place.

They have the BEST broccoli pesto pizza I’ve ever had! So thankful they came into the area. Highly recommend for take out!

Got a calzone which I thought was pricy but it was the perfect size! Cooked perfectly and the sauce they give you for dipping is so delicious! Everything tastes real fresh and made with pride.

Good pizza with great topping combination options. Not too much char on the crust which makes it a hit with everyone in the family. Thanks for carrying Foxon soda.
