Nardelli's Grinder Shoppe

I've eaten at Nardelli's since I was a kid. This is an old style deli with hot and cold offerings. They have Amazing grinders! I love the meatball stuffed with meat and cheese. But then I tried the pulled pork. Touchdown! At every Nardelli's I've been to, everything is fresh and hot and sooo good. Look up their menu on a Nardelli's website. This one's in Cromwell. I frequently visit the Southington and Farmington stores. YUM!

Great place to eat!! The food is fresh!! The price is definitely right, for a grab n go healthy alternative to Fast Food .

This grinder shop that has taken over many of the old time grinder shop locations. However, their selection is phenomenal, very quick service and the food is good.

While this sandwich shop is a bit more on the expensive side for subs and sandwiches, this is one of those places where you get what you pay for. The variety and sandwiches, the quality of the food, was great. I had the buffalo chicken sub, and you end up with an entire breaded chicken breast, with some really good flavoring. My lunch mates had the steak and cheese and really enjoyed theirs as well - to the extent they wouldn't give me a bite. Jerks.

Would go again.

Every sandwich I've had from here is the best sandwich I've ever had. I'm not even exaggerating. Their meats are high quality and flavorful, and I'd recommend upgrading to the artisan bread to round out the experience. They also have great cheesecake and Italian desserts, as well as some pretty good deli salads (tortellini, potato, macaroni). So much better than Subway!

The food here is very good, I grew up near the Waterbury one and work near this one. I prefer this one as they always honor the no mayo request. Other locations are determined to put mayo on or die tryin'.

Was very pleasantly surprised by the amount of filling, delicious vegan/vegetarian sandwich and wrap options! It can typically be a struggle to find these options at sandwich shops, and often the vegan/vegetarian options are not very appetizing. Great to see!

The service was great and the sandwiches are Super! Every time I'm in Connecticut I try NOT to miss it. Highly recommend it!

Amazing. Even a small is huge. Excellent variety on the menu for both hot and cold grinders. Always tasty. Soon we will have a Nardellis in East Lyme, CAN'T WAIT!

We were traveling and by chance stopped for lunch. We both enjoyed our meals. If we come back this way again we will stop again.

The service and the food were amazing! Best deli ever. I was with my children who can be slowed and picky, the staff were patient. They also have gluten free rolls so you can enjoy the deli if your gluten free, and the staff were very knowledgeable about it, commenting which products would have some gluten and which did not. Also amazing cannoli's. Seriously, if you have the chance, eat here!

First time to a Nardelli's. It was great and the staff was extremely friendly. Walked in just for a grinder walked out with a bunch from the display cabinets too! Will go back when in are!

This was my first time here. I had the buffalo chicken grinder. Took half home for lunch tomorrow. We sat outside and loved it. I’ve oven driven by Nardelli’s but never went inside figuring they were just another fast food sandwich shop. Wrong. While they have many similar type grinders this is no fast food - and it’s my new favorite grinder spot!!

Tried nearly everything on the menu - all fantastic. Place is crazy busy at lunch every day (for good reason!) but don't be put off by the long lines - they hustle behind the counter and get food out quick. Personal favorite is the grilled shrimp salad wrap with everything (including hot sauce).

They have GREAT SANDWICHES, among other things like there cannolis!! The people are sooo nice and there fast at getting your order done!! They also have Italian meats to be sliced and I believe cheeses also, and premade foods you can take home and warm up. I grew up in Bridgeport, to which there were large groups of Sicilian/Italian sections. We always went to Italian shops for products. It is so worth it to go there. It’s a a little expensive but not for the quality and the amount you get no matter what you order!! The place reminds me of many happy memories of growing up in a Sicilian family and having such GREAT FOODS AND OTHER PRODUCTS. You never grow out of wanting the things that made you happy as a child, especially foods. Your first bite of anything from there will instantly take you back to when you were a kid! I grew up around Italian deli’s and Italian shops, there is no other comparison to such great Italian shops and foods. But Nardelli‘s is just like the shops I used to go to as a child all the way up till today I am 48 and still, just those little things Italian shops do and make, makes my heart feel happy as well as my brain. Today is May in the year of 2022 and I am bringing my daughter there for the first time who also grew up the Sicilian/Italian way of life! As in music, lifestyle, and of course as always the best food, but I may be biased on that part.LOL!! But if you don’t go, and there are many of there shops around, you’ll always regret it whether you’re Italian or Polish or Mexican it doesn’t matter, the place is amazing and so is there food!!!!!! Also, the place is immaculate, clean like no other place I have been to!!! You can be rest assured that everything they use or the surfaces that they make items on or were they make your sandwiches is very clean and healthy which is a big thing for me and especially in this day and age of Covid and other issues that create germs. I say, GOD BLESS TO ALL THOSE THAT MAKE NARDELLI’S GRINDER SHOPS THE TRUELY AMAZING, FEEL LIKE FAMILY, EXPERIENCE THAT YOU WILL GET EVERY TIME YOU GO TO THEM!!!!!🥰

Hard to say anything negative about them. Food, grinders, salads are all top notch. It’s too expensive for me, except once in a long while, I just deliver from them for GrubHub, but if the prices were lower I’d go here all the time.
