We stopped here on our road trip back to Tennessee and our kids instantly fell in love with the train setup upstairs. The staff were super friendly and very welcoming. The pizza tasted better than we even imagined! I wish we had a place like this in Tennessee! Will definitely be recommending and stopping back by on our next travels.

The Gorgonzola pizza is top tier. This is now my favorite pizza spot because of this topping combo alone. If you’re a garlic lover, this one’s for you. The pizza is so good that I ordered it two nights in a row.

Classic family pizza joint! I have to say I love the owners' responses to the 1 start reviews. I wish more businesses responded to dumb reviews. They stood up for employees and were closing early for the superbowl.

Thai place has excellent pizza and entertainment for the kids. There are two large displays of model trains upstairs. It’s fun to take the shoreline east train service there and back to get lunch or dinner.

This is a good pizza place with many specialty pies and brick oven style. I liked the Thai and pepperoni ones that I got.

Hands down-my favorite pizza. I’ve tried all the “best” in CT, but for me, The Rosemary Chicken is the winner. Tender chicken with generous amounts of mushrooms and onions equals the perfect speciality white pizza. The focaccia bread and marinara is always a great way to state a meal. Delicious from start to finish. The service is always fast and friendly.

The pizza is really good. Service is usually pretty fast. My kids love sitting upstairs so they can look at the model train sets, and watch the monitors to see the amtrackvtrains go by.

Really nice restaurant with kind staff. They have a huge model railroad layout upstairs and a ceiling layout downstairs.

The pizza selection is diverse and all options are delicious. Never had a bad pizza. Amazing crust: never greasy, always crunchy outside, chewy inside. You have to try the Gorgonzola salad, best salad anywhere.

This place is a gem, Definitely underrated. It ranks right up there with the BEST New Haven pizza joints. And, if your not a fan of "dripping with oil, soggy pizza crust", this is your place!

Perfect place to bring the young kids, make sure to get a table upstairs with the trains.

This is my grandson's favorite restaurant so we were there for his six year birthday celebration. He loves all the train sets. Thank you for making your Restaurant so much fun and entertaining. We came all the way from Woodbury Brianne

Closest pizza to New Haven style! My fav!

We frequent this restaurant all the time. The service is always great and the food is always consistent and on point. It's one of my favorite restaurants in the state. The pizza is great, the pasta is fantastic and they have a phenomenal beer list. You can never go wrong with a trip to Pizzaworks. Don't forget to check out the intricate train layouts upstairs. Really amazing food, great atmosphere, friendly and prompt service. Beer and pizza are made for each other, and this place understands that!

Update! I've brought my kids here many many times. It's a highlight of our weekends, and we know many staff members by name at this point. Also, it sounds weird, but try the bacon cheeseburger pizza. I avoided trying it for a while, but our waiter convinced us to try it once, and now it's one of our favorites!

We had a blast. It was a Halloween alternative for our 6 year old nephew.. he loved the trains! We had never been before and chose the place for its kid friendly atmosphere for him but were amazingly surprised at the great food and service to match. We will be back.. its a beautifully restored train station so the atmosphere is cool but honestly we will be back for the food! Highly recommend.. kids or no kids its a great place!

Best pizza in Old Saybrook. They also did a bulk order for our wedding afterparty. Everything arrived hot, on time, and exactly as we had hoped. Totally recommend for eat in, take out or catering larger events. Pizzas are closer to personal size, but definitely worth the price.
