I purchased a used car at Salem Auto last month in May 2024. The transaction was smooth, the car was as expected and the process was without issue. I’ve driven it roughly 1500 miles before posting my review. During this period the car had no unexpected issues and the title was received in the mail.

Called the shop on Saturday afternoon, just hoping to get in reasonably soon. They said I could drop the car off Monday when they opened (I couldn’t even get there til 2 when I got off work). Had it diagnosed, fixed & ready to go by midday Tuesday, at a very fair price. Most shops I called couldn’t even give me an appointment for at least a week out.

Billy explained everything very clearly (I am an automotive dimwit), even sent me video showing the problem. Great job, will be returning for all future repairs.

Purchased a first car for our son at Salem Auto. Tony was very honest and knowledgeable we got a good car for a very fair price and Tony got us on the road very quickly. We highly recommend this shop and will be a returning customer.

I had an amazing experience Tony is awesome! He got my car after 4 tow rides and a 13 days full of loss of my grandson. My car breaking down and not being able to get home. When He got my car Saturday He worked on it tirelessly all day found the problem and had me back on the road home today April 1st. I can't say enough great things about this man who was amazing to me and fixed my car at a reasonable price knowing what I've been through! If you need your car fixed this is the place to go. He's compassionate and gets the job done. I have high praises for this man and his garage! Absolutely amazing! Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart ❤! You're fanstastic!

Billy is that guy!! This man has a ton of knowledge about any make or model. I had them do a break job on my wife’s vehicle. I had the privilege to sit there and chat with billy while he did it. The owner, Tony is fair, up front and also very knowledgeable. Brakes are great! Wife is happy! Thanks guys!

We have used Salem Auto twice in the last week for registration on new vehicles. Can’t recommend them enough. They were helpful explaining to us exactly what paperwork we needed and got everything all set for us quickly.

I bought a BMW F33 Convertible around September 2021 from here. It was the only 1 in New England with this specific color way + hard-top convertible at the time and I’ve received numerous compliments from random people. This car is an absolute blast to drive. I’d like to thank the guys here for being patient and helpful throughout the process of transitioning this vehicle to MA. They even offered me some good services for the next time I visit. I can tell they actually care for the vehicle as much as I do with all the mods I’ve done already. This review was long overdue but I needed to express how glad I am.

I recently bought a 2015 VW GTI from Salem Auto. The GTI has high mileage, but was a one owner and had a detailed, well documented maintenance history. Anthony was helpful, and most importantly honest with answering questions I had before the purchase. The car was an "as is" sale but i agreed to the purchase. A steel oil pan was recently installed on the car, and I noticed a leak a day after purchase.. I got in contact with Anthony and immediately he had me take car down to shop and have oil pan re sealed at no cost, even with the "as is" purchase! After the oil pan issue was resolved, Anthony followed up a few days after making sure the car was not leaking, or had any other issues. I was glad to have purchased the car from someone who has that amount of care for the customers and the cars they sell. I now have had the car for a few weeks and I could not be happier! The car runs extremely well and I constantly get people complimenting the look of the car. Thanks again to the mechanic, and Anthony for helping me with everything. Highly recommend this shop to anyone!

I had a registration done here because the DMV was a couple weeks out for an appointment. Loved the way they handled it. They said it'd be 24 hours but they had it done in the same day. Don't hesitate to call them. Very pleased.

I recently utilized Salem Auto to register a new vehicle. I was impressed with how quickly and smoothly the entire process went. I had my new vehicle registered weeks sooner than the DMV was able to schedule me for an appointment. The staff was friendly and courteous and even went out of their way to contact me about a treasured hat my son left behind. I will gladly refer friends to them and would be happy to use them in the future for any auto repairs.

Anthony was a huge help throughout our stressful process of registering our vehicle. He made everything so easy and got us in to see him right away. We were running late and he stayed after closing to help us out. He got us in and out the door in less than 10 minutes. Awesome customer service and very polite.

Alternate location for vehicle registrations. Called in the morning, received a text to let me know what documents to send over. Sent everything by email, then got a text to show up that afternoon and pick up my documents. Brought the forms and payment, walked out with my plates and registration. No DMV, no lines, no appointments, no BS, just quick and easy. Sure, it cost a little extra, but not dealing with the DMV or waiting a month for an appointment to register a vehicle makes it well worth it!
