Village Pizza Family Restaurant

Stopped in today for lunch after a walk at Gillette Castle. Taco pizza is yummy, would be better if it had just a tiny bit more grease or maybe put the salsa on after cooking.. very delicious flavor wise though. Cheeseburger grinder was excellent! Very good prices for these Joe Biden days we’re living in now!

I have to say that believe it or not this restaurant actually has noticeably better/fresher and higher quality ingredients than any other places around, honestly. Their vegetables used in their salads are fresher and crisper, even their blue cheese is off higher quality! It's the little things that count and you will notice the difference! Ok, it's a dollar or two more expensive but like the saying goes, you get what you pay for.... Worth the extra buck for sure!

The pizza was delicious, and I also enjoyed the grinder. There is a delightful ice cream shop located nearby.

Always been a great source for subs/ grinders, pizza, salads I've literally eaten probably 90% of the entire menu all damn good definitely. Above and beyond insanely great taco pizza 🍕

It was our first time in town & decided upon Village Pizza! It was a nice, clean restaurant with an extensive menu. I got a small, cheese pizza & the hubby got the steak & cheese grinder. The pizza was perfectly cooked, just the right amount of cheese & the sauce was nice & sweet! Hubby loved his steak & cheese grinder! Everything was fresh, hot & cooked to perfection!
I don't remember our waitress' name but she was very nice & attentive!

We order take out a few times a month. Pizza is good and my son loves the chicken and fries.

This place is so clean and friendly! We came for lunch since we moved close by, and they put on Bluey for my fussy 18 month old. Such nice people and the pizza is great!

OMG! Living in the pizza wastelands of Eastern Tennessee, on a recent visit to the East Haddam area I found this pizzeria. 4 days and 4 meals, loved every bit of it. Grinders were very good & the pizza brought tears to my eyes. I only wish that..... I didn't live 750 miles away!

Literally grew up on this shiz.....Best pizza ever, especially taco pizza. I've tried other taco pizzas and nothing even comes close to how amazing their's is. Pretty much all of their food is good. And it's been around for my entire life which I hate to have to admit has been at least 40 years. Give em a try. I doubt you will regret it.

The pizza, gyros, fries, onion rings and fried shrimp are amazing! Definitely a Friday night must for our family!

I've always had a good experience eating here (food ,staff great) no clue what went wrong this day maybe understaffed, I ordered two sandwiches to go cold not toasted, waitress asked me 4 times if I was here for pickup I waited an extra 20 min and she came to me and said I think we found your order, I don't mind waiting it is what we do today but when she handed me my sandwiches they were hot, TOASTED to hungry to complain and the line was 10 plus deep, I will be back this was my first so so experience in the countless times I have been there.

My wife and I have known Sam, Maria, and their WHOLE family for over 40 years since they took over the "village Pizza" restaurant.
We've ALWAYS loved them ALL dearly, their food has ALWAYS been stellar, and their wait staff has always always strived to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. They always support our town, and are just plain wonderful people.
I'm sure your dining experience will be an enjoyable one.

Delicious New England style pizza… Service is always great. Atmosphere is cozy and homey. A great pizza, parlor!

Consistent, tasty, homemade, budget-friendly. Village had been the place to eat for more than 20 years. Whether it's Friday night take out after the game or dine in lunch between meetings, the service is always top-notch and the food is always good!

Awesome food, price super fair, exactly what I was looking for to have dinner with my fiance.

We were very pleased and impressed. We stopped here based on the rating and found it to be well deserved. The food is delicious, and they were quick to accommodate my special dietary needs. Our waitress, Becky, was understanding, fast, and made us feel at home. Highly recommended!

Went to Gillette castle and there were no food options there, so, desperate, we tried this place. Great service and good
