Moravela's Pizzeria

I've consistently had a great experience here over the past 14 years. Dining in, and takeout of apps, subs, salads, dinners and pizza. The food is freshly made and delicious. Owners are very involved and pleasant. Clean restaurant with clean bathrooms. A gem.

I love the spinach calzone!!! I'm not a fan of sauces usually when I'm out but theirs is to die for. The slices are really good too. Try them if you are in the area you won't be disappointed!

Food is excellent. We get a specially made pizza from here, and they always get it right. We take out a pizza from here at least every other week. But it is spacious inside and you can sit and eat at the many tables. Give this place a try. You just might like it.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and the serving size was beyond expectation. Great prices too.

The food here is great if you want quick Italian food and you want a lot of leftovers for a good price. The owner is super friendly and personable and the staff are always pleasant. The service can be slow at times to get refills but the food makes up for it. Highly recommend the chicken parm.

For years we have been searching for a meatball sub that matched Vinny’s Pizza Haven in East Lyme, we found it, this has to be the best meatball sub I’ve had in 20 years! Wings, pizza, steak and cheese all rocks!

Very good! Even though they were busy, food was served fast. We will be back.

Dinner was delicious. Staff was friendly and they have a patio out back. we didn't sit there as it was to windy. Found this place as we exited the ferry. would recommend eating here

My opinion of this place (not a review, I'm too lazy to do a review) is this is pretty darn close to New York style . Hundreds of places will claim they are New York Style but seem to fall short of the quality .
I highly recommend trying these guys . Entrees are above your regular everyday normal standard pizza joint grub quality as well.
Pricing is fair also.

This place is our go to for last minute dining. All their food is excellent. For lower cal/carb dishes you can get it over baby spinach instead of pasta. It works!

Chris and his crew are the best. They always make you feel at home, and are very friendly. This restaurant is spotless, reasonably priced, and the food is consistently good. What else is there to say other than Eat here!

Buffalo chicken pizza was good. So were the knots. great service. Overall a great experience.

My experience with Itallion food in New England has been excellent. Completely unfamiliar with this area of CT we tried Moravela's on a suggestion from a barista. This may have been the BEST pizza I have ever had. A small pizza, shared by two hungry women, was one piece too big....such a problem, HA! The canoli was great too.

Chris took care of us when we came in for the first time. He was EXCELLENT, on top of it and very kind. We will definitely be back, as he made our experience 10/10. The pizzas were DELICIOUS, ingredients were fresh. We are so glad we stumbled upon this restaurant. You won’t be disappointed

The shrimp was amAzing! -and the fries are crispy outside and tender inside- my favorite kind!! My family loves everything on the menu. - and you can get a coupon that is found on the side of the mailer menu for a free glass of wine 🤩 Service is great! 🌟🍤🌟🍟🌟🍕🌟🍷🌟 Can't. Get. Better.

When I saw strombolis on the menu I instantly knew I had to order one. Here's what I got: Stromboli Italian Sausage, Green Pepper, Mushroom, Pepperoni, Salami, Ham, Onions, Mozzarella & Sauce. The small was nearly a foot long; no one ordered a large. It was excellent. It cost $11. Half of us had strombolis and half had personal size pizzas. No one could finish his lunch. Our server was prompt and pleasant.

I love pizza, and this place has my absolute favorite. Perfect pizza in my book. Always a pleasure. I’m greeted by friendly people every time I pick up. I even got a few fist bumps here and there. Thank you all!
