The Sleepy Rooster is a gem! Delicious, fresh, fast, friendly and multiple gluten free and healthy options. Highly recommend for breakfast and lunch!

This was my first trip to the Sleepy Rooster and won't be my last. I had The Farmhouse breakfast sandwich with sausage on sourdough bread. Fantastic with the Sleepy Rooster sauce. Going to try lunch next. Thank you.

Somehow I missed that this place was an upscale breakfast sandwich joint and not a full service restaurant. Which is my loss, I kept letting the number of cars in the lot scare me off. But I finally went for it, and had my food in under 5 minutes at 9am on a Sunday.
I got the farmhouse with avocado, and there wasn't a speck of brown on the avocado anywhere. It was super good with just the right amount of spice for a spice-a-phobe. Husband got the sweet hog and ate the entire thing rapidly before letting out a "wow, that was excellent."
Lots of non-boring vegetarian options, a scramble bowl option for low carb, and a tater tots bowl option for gluten sensitive. Only thing that's missing is a vegan egg option.
Will definitely be back.

I got their Sleepy Rooster egg sandwich, and wow was that amazing. I haven't had a egg sandwich that really stood out before but that thing was amazing! If you can, get it with waffles ! The bacon was cooked perfect, the chicken was the perfect amount of crisp, and the cheese was throughly melted. The coffee was fantastic too!

I will be back for more, no doubt in my mind! It was so worth it!

We will definitely be back! The waffles were crisp yet fluffy, the burritos were awesome and pannini pressed to perfection, and the Sleepy Rooster sauce is a nicely blended sweet and spicy sauce! I had the Perky Turkey, and haven't had such good turkey on a sandwich from a deli, let alone a restaurant in a long time. I'm pretty sure the menu said they only use Boar's Head branded deli meat, and it was very quality. Definitely worth the little bit of a drive to get there!!

Great place for breakfast. They have plenty of unique breakfast options and the food always tastes great! I probably get take out here once every week or every other week even though it's a 20 minute drive from my house. Totally worth it (try the spicy cow tater tot bowl).

Food here is nothing like the grease-laden fast-food breakfast at a chain drive-through. Unique egg-combinations. Very gluten-free-friendly! The bowls are so easy to handle, its like a big take-out soup cup with a lid. Very fast even on a Sunday morning. The Sleepy Rooster has the same feel as other local hand-made take-out places like The Cooking Company and What's Cookin in Madison.

Their waffle sandwiches are amazing. The ingredient combinations work so well together and the rooster sauce is this sweet and tangy flavor that goes on anything. I had the namesake Sleepy Rooster waffle sandwich. The chicken was crispy and the egg was cooked well so it wasnt drippy but not over cooked to be dried out.

I'm not usually impressed with tater tots but theirs were actually pretty good.

I'm definately going to be coming back to try some of the other menu options.

so delicious! you really can’t go wrong with the classic - sleepy rooster sandwich. it’s the perfect combination of sweet and savory. it’s decadent and superfluous but that’s kinda the point!! i can never finish my whole sandwich but i’m always grateful to have the other half for later in the day. everyone here is kind & quick to get out your order. anytime friends visit, i’m sure to take them here! 10/10 would keep coming back again & again.

Visited for breakfast with friends for the first time to try these awesome looking waffle-wiches! The menu had a large variety of different sandwiches accompanied with tater tot bowls, smoothies, and coffee options, and it was all reasonably priced. We decided to try The Farmhouse waffle-wich, which has an egg patty, cheese, choice of meat or avocado, and the sleepy rooster sauce. I usually shy away from trying certain sauces when out eating but I'm so glad I didn't! The sauce was maple jalapeno aioli and it was absolutely delicious - not too spicy and not overly sweet - it definitely made the sandwich perfect. I love anything sweet AND savory, and this was exactly what this sandwich was. The waffle was cooked perfectly, not crunchy, it was more on the tender/soft side. Great flavor in the egg patty and the bacon was cooked medium-medium well, perfect to me. Overall, delicious breakfast sandwich and the value for how big the sandwich is was well worth it. My friends and I loved the Sleepy Rooster Cafe and talked about it our entire drive home. We will definitely come back! Check out their instagram page for some mouth watering pics!

This place is a hidden gem!!!! Food is amazing. Place is clean, and staff is super friendly. Must try the namesake sandwich "Sleepy Rooster". It's soooooo good. Just don't expect to get much done after your meal. Be ready to take a nap.😴😁 Best chicken and waffles in CT.

Food is so delicious! It’s perfect for breakfast and early lunch items. The atmosphere is so friendly and every employee is very attentive. I come here regularly and have never been disappointed in the food I have been given! Definitely a great spot for anyone looking for a quick but hearty meal, or even a small snack or drink if you choose.

I ALWAYS stop in when I’m home visiting my family. Portion sizes are awesome and the food is so good! Good variety so you can definitely get lighter options if you’re looking for it. Very friendly staff that is always looking for suggestion. If there’s something you wished they carried, just ask! They’re also taking great Covid precautions and I’ve felt very safe going in there.

Tried for the first time rhis morning and will definitely return! Delicious egg sandwich made with two eggs, cheese, and bacon on a roll. The roll was the perfect size to compliment without overpowering the filling. Loved the signature maple aiolli sauce too. Great coffee and service made for a pleasant morning stop.

I cannot believe we only found this place on the last day of our trip to Connecticut! It was already mind-blowing that waffle-wich exists, but its even unbelievable how great these wafflewich are! Coffee and shakes were also great, too.

My name is Matthew and I drive tractor trailer for a new career in life and I try to find really good family owned hole in the walls to eat at on my Journey to different states and Sleepy Roster Cafe will be my regular spot to stop and bring my trainees with me to eat when I come up this way to eat. Also I will put it on are GPS for are truck drives no where to get something good to eat in the mornings and for lunch.

I finally found what I was looking for! A quick breakfast spot with amazingly delicious food! I want breakfast, but I’m on the go and Dunkin sandwiches are hit or miss (mostly misses!) So isn’t there somewhere where I can grab a quick delicious breakfast on the go? The epitome of breakfast on the go to me is the breakfast sandwich. Maybe it was getting an egg sandwich everyday in high school, but my favorite is the sausage egg and cheese. Such a simple sandwich can actually be tricky to pull off! The ratio of eggs to bread to sausage is of utmost importance. I have to say the Sleepy Rooster KILLS IT! Probably one of the most perfect sausage egg and cheese sandwiches I have ever had! The farmhouse egg and cheese with sausage is breakfast perfection to me! The sleepy rooster sauce elevates the sandwich to legendary status! Wow, I was skeptical at first of a jalapeño maple aioli, but holy smokes does it compliment the sandwich amazingly. The interior of the restaurant is light, bright and cheerful, just how I want to start my day! I am a huge supporter of these guys and I wish them many many years of success. I know I will be a devoted customer :)

Absolutely amazing! Their special sauce is sweet and savory; it goes beautifully with their fantastic fried chicken. If we lived closer, we'd be here all the time.

I love the bacon.egg.cheese.potato cup. Very good. A bit pricey but worth it. I will go back to try the waffle sandwich. Kind and very helpful young man at the counter.
