C J's Restaurant

This is an absolutely fantastic little hole in the wall local eatery. It has tons of seating and parking so it's really worth your time to check it out! The menu is huge, with lots of unique fun things like PB&J pancakes and bacon, egg, & cheese on french toast, which I ordered! The food was excellent, especially the home fries. And the service was quick and efficient. I really do recommend a visit if you're in the area.

My dad goes to CJ’s every Saturday for Breakfast bright and early. He’s always awake super early do this place is his go to for early morning breakfast. Sam & Al have been running this place for forever. The service is quick and friendly and the food is fresh and made fast. Sam has a “Hiya honey” or “Good morning sunshine” To all the regulars that walk in the door each week. It’s reminiscent of all those dinners back in the day. Hot coffee is made consistently the entire time you’re there. Pancakes and bacon were fantastic . So good we had to get some to go as well. In the New Britain area CJs is the go to spot for breakfast.

I have gone here for breakfast quite a bit over the years The food here is good, prices are reasonable, and the owner is very involved which is great.
The staff here is friendly.
My usual is the Western Omelet with cheese, home fries, wheat toast, and coffee.
Sometimes I get some nice, crispy bacon on the side.
It also seems like the takeout part of the business has picked up considerably, which is what I have been doing in more recent times.
The food is still great and the staff still kind...
If you're from New Britain, you probably already know about this place. When you come here, you never know who you will run into here...

I just so happened to pass by and was really craving breakfast food. As soon as I walked in, they greeted me, and I was able to sit where I wanted. The menu had a lot of options I've never seen anywhere else. The waitress were calling everyone by name, which says they have regulars all the time. The place felt very warm. The food was a decent size and was spectacular. I had a bite out of my partners chicken club sandwich and was in awe with how much flavor was in one bite. Will definitely come again

Been in search of a breakfast spot that actually knows how to cook an egg properly. I ordered over easy sandwich and received just that. Highly recommend this place!

I've driven by 1 million times and stopped in for the first time for breakfast and was shocked at how crowded it was, and excited at the look and chatter happening. This place is full of happy customers. I ordered the gyro omelet, lamb/beef, onions, tomatoes, fetta cheese, it was huge and delicious. Rye toast, hash browns, all very good. I was asked to sample their non homemade corned beef hash, they claimed it was great straight from their food distributor and not homemade. It was very good for non homemade, processed and ground corned beef, however cooked / fried to perfection, I usually only eat homemade non processed, this comes in a close 2nd.
I will definitely be back for lunch sometime soon.

Basic breakfast the packed a punch. The Captain America waffle (strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream) was filling, however the fruit was very mushy. Service was phenomenal and were happily greeted and served by the owner/mother. She was soo sweet!

Went to CJ's for breakfast with my sister-in-law. The staff was friendly and met us at we entered and told us we could sit anywhere we liked. Our waitress came right over and took our drink order. COFFEE ☕ My sister-in-law ordered an egg and bacon breakfast sandwich and I ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese, turkey bacon (which I've never had before), home fries which I shared with my sister-in-law, and a bowl of oatmeal with fresh strawberries. Everything was delicious! And for never having turkey bacon before, I couldn't tell that it wasn't real bacon! Tasted just like bacon! I had to share some with my sister-in-law to get her opinion. She liked it as well. The only thing that I didn't like was that the fresh strawberries on my oatmeal we're not fresh strawberries. But all in all it was a great meal.

Clean restaurant and good customer service care I went go visit on Esters morning and had a good breakfast with my daughter they make me feel like if I was visiting family..

Very nice people, food was very good, would have been great but the eggs were slightly overcooked (over medium was closer to over well, yolk almost completely cooked). Kielbasa and home fries were both excellent.

I love the place for the food and was the last time I went to eat with my son before he past away Rip

The service was great, they always offered to refill our coffee's. The price was excellent and we will definitely come back. We just moved back into New Britain and I am happy to find our new breakfast spot.

Spoke to the owner/mother and her daughter, they're a delight. Funny and personable. My mom and I are on a road trip and we're trying to eat local to each city, HIGHLY recommend if you want a homemade breakfast and a family atmosphere.

Excellent food, fast and efficient service very family place to go

I ordered a simple breakfast. Good quality and portion. The food was nicely presented. The best thing was the atmosphere. Light hearted and fun with many loyal customers.

We normally come here on Saturday's and when it is busy, they do get overwhelmed but most of the time the food is great. The french toast is probably my favorite right now. The friends I go with usually get the bacon and cheese sandwiches...those are really good too. Such friendly service and they make you feel so comfortable. But just think about times that you are constrained to a time crunch and have a bunch of people to cook for...not to mention different items and not have a bunch of cooks. For that, even on busy days they do what they can and they do it successfully.

First time here the breakfast was amazing and prices are cheap.

Excellent breakfast spot, went there right when they opened at 6am and they had already let people in. We got our order taken immediately then food in 10 minutes and everything was excellent
