We reserved a table before we went to this restaurant. We wanted to try the happy hour menu. The food and service were really good. Definitely will go again.

We really had a nice time here and each food item tasted really good.

Every time I go, the food and service is fantastic! I always get the fried pickles to start and then usually get the Juicy Lucy Burger with apple wood bacon. Loaded with flavor (that garlic aioli is out of this world) and cooked exactly the way I like, the food is well portioned, although a little on the higher priced side, but not too bad. Our server, Chad, did everything perfectly. His demeanor is pleasant, polite and professional. His timing for refills is spot on, and he even asked about food allergies. You can't ask for much better. It was a great experience for my son and me. Highly recommend going for an elevated casual dinner!

Great atmosphere, quick service, and delicious food. They know what they’re doing with chicken. My wife and I were glad we ordered the sweet potato fries! Would go back.

Cobb salad was perfect and sauce amount was good; sandwich was good and drinks alcohol was good amount; Mac and cheese was really really good;

The Buffalo Mac & Cheese is elite. The chicken is crispy and tossed in buffalo sauce and after whatever magic it turns into this gooey broiled cheesy goodness. My disclaimer is, I can only take 3 bites. It is so rich you just cannot eat anymore - which is fine. A little tricky to take as a leftover, but it hits just the same the next day.

The food is out of this world!!!!! The fried chicken is so moist and perfect. I got the honey mustard wrap and garlic parm fries and it was divine!!! My bf got the southern fried chicken and it was phenomenal. Even the nachos and chilli were fantastic! Cannot go wrong here. 10/10!!

Sadly it is not often nowadays that you find a restaurant with great food and service. Red Heat Tavern nailed both today.

There were 2 parties ahead of us when we walked in, and they sat all of us efficiently and quickly. We were offered a high top or booth, it is always nice to be given the option.

Server came over relatively quickly to take our order. Appetizer came out in a reasonable amount of time, as did our entrees.

We had the Bang Bang Broccoli appetizer. Nice light and crispy breading. I'm not a huge aoli fan, so it was nice to see that they don't get carried away with it. The general tsos sauce was flavorful and definitely not super spicy, like some can be. Really good appetizer!

My wife had the avocado bowl and added steak tips to it. She said it was really good. Steak was cooked perfectly. The overall portion size was good. I would have thought you would get more than 3 steak tips for the additional $10.00, but they were really good quality. She loved the tortilla strips on top.

I had the Mac and cheese and I added the beef brisket. They were very generous with the brisket, much more than I expected. Bread crumbs on top were really good. Cheese sauce was good, and they have really good BBQ sauce. If you do go with the Mac and cheese, be ready because it is a very rich and heavy dish. I take food home from a restaurant maybe 1 out of 20 times, well some of that Mac and cheese came home with me.

Very nice atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating.

Our server Justin was on point. Checked on us multiple times, refilled out drinks without us having to ask, and genuinely thanked us before we left.

Other littles notes from our visit.

Every server we saw were focused on the customers. We didn't see any servers standing around, while customers were being ignored. They were quick to bring out food, drinks, and refills. Definitely a very efficient staff. Even the manager was running food and drinks.

They sanitize every table after customers leave. And not a wipe down with a towel that has been used over and over again all day. New towels and plenty of sanitizer.

The food was fantastic. Our waitress always made sure everything was OK and it had a great atmosphere. I would recommend this place to anybody and I will be back

I recently dined at Red Heat Tavern in South Windsor, Connecticut, and I must say, the experience left me truly satisfied. The highlight of my meal was undoubtedly the fish sandwich with cheese. It was a mouthwatering masterpiece! The fish was perfectly cooked, flaky, and oozing with flavor. The addition of cheese elevated it to a whole new level of deliciousness.

Great service and amazing food! Great drink selection! Apps came out quick and all the food was perfect! 10 out of 10 highly recommend! Sweet tai wings had a kick of spice/heat while still keeping that sweet after taste. The Bbq burger was picture perfect rodeoburger. As for the creole chicken… another smash hit ! Chicken fried to perfection ! Amazing food great environment and a friendly staff ! Good job guys

Great food, and I really appreciate the extra gluten-free stuff like the fried pickles. It's rare to find that kind of food available gluten-free. They even had a gluten-free s'mores mousse dessert that was really good.

When you walk in you are greeted by a friendly and helpful host. The food was delicious and the portions were great for the price paid. I had the pulled pork mac & cheese and the ratio of Mac and cheese to pulled pork was perfect. The bbq ribs were melt in your mouth delicious. Great place to bring a family or to go on a date.

Stopped in on a foodie friend’s recommendation, and they did not disappoint. Fantastic, pleasant, friendly service and flavorful food that went above my expectations. Had a berry lemonade white sangria, steak tips (medium and cooked just the way I like it), mac and cheese, and roasted cauliflower. Simply delicious! I will be back!

Really loved it. They have a larger outdoor seating area, though I did sit inside. The wings were delicious, had trouble sharing them but I perservered. Actually ate all my asparagus, they were nice and crisped. Salmon was done wonderfully and the steak tips, boy the steak tips. Do yourself the favor getting the steak tips. They haven't missed on anything. Can't wait to go back.

I had a great time! Casual atmosphere, delicious food, excellent service, and a full service bar. Many of their menu options are gluten free or vegetarian, and everything is customizable, so there's really something for everyone to love. I had an amazing vegetarian mac & cheese. Their desserts are unique as well. I liked that you can watch the cooks in the open kitchen next to the bar. It is easy to overspend if you get lots of add-ons, but if you stick to the main menu the pricing is reasonable.

Our first time and we will be back. Let's start with the Butternut Squash, a holiday soup selection only available to the first of the year. The post Mac and cheese was fantastic and my wife had a steakhouse salad. About 6-8oz. Of steak cooked phenomenally. The draft list is great as well.

My boyfriend and I had dinner last night after my eyeglasses appointment and let me tell you — it was worth the 35 minute wait! Our server was a sweetheart, the food was TO DIE FOR, and the ambiance was lovely. Thank you, red heat tavern. 💕

The best thing about this restaurant is that it is very gluten-free friendly. Most of their items can be gluten free. There are a handful of items that cannot but it's a very great place for anybody who has celiac or gluten sensitivity.
