TJ's on Cedar

Tim has done a great job with his team... food is off the hook. Service was fast.. kitchen accommodated my weird way of eating.. Even the customers made me feel welcome. This place is the real deal

TJs is a sports bar with great food and immaculately clean. The burger 🍔 tastes like steak! I have had three of them and they are the "best burger" I personally have had in Connecticut. It's small in a cozy, way and the 8 TVs are set up so you can see NFL or Basketball anywhere you sit. It's really perfect for 3 friends & you to play pool and eat, or a casual "date night" because there are booths you can snuggle up in. I usually just go to the bar side; but the restaurant side has 8 small booths so you can take mom or a friend to a tasty lunch. The menu is quite large but I personally stick to burgers.

I'm a Newington resident of about 7 years and have been meaning to try TJ's for a while and lord, I'm glad I did. 1) Bourbon steak tips 2) the drinks 3) servers and bartenders - all were amazing. I've been there 3 times in 2 weeks and have plans to take the kids tomorrow for pizza. I'm excited to finally find a local place with really good food, nice people and a relaxed atmosphere.

I was very impressed with pizza from a bar/restaurant. My kids loved it. Also them fries and wings were so fresh!

I really wish I had taken a pic of my meal. It was beautiful and absolutely delicious. I had the Granny's Turkey Panini.....minus the panini. 😉I asked for it without the bread and they did it for me and it was spectacular! I had a house salad with it and, I mean there was nothing left! It was so delicious. I'll be back for sure!

Went for lunch..Food was phenomenal..service was amazing...Nate the bartender was fast and friendly...Highly recommend!

Had a little retirement lunch for a coworker today...what a great place! It was not too busy, but it is a Tuesday. Staff was great, drinks were fantastic snd everyone's food was perfect! I had the spinach pizza...YUM!!!👍

I have found my new "Cheers". Hey men if you're looking for that deep fried crunch from a wing that you have had from sliders which is no more because sliders has fallen off the deep end due to baking chicken wings! ( who does that,,,hmmm🤔,sliders) than TJ's is your answer for great chrispy wings . The best wings in Connecticut and the busiest place in Newington. Love love love, order for the game men. Beer is Beer. Ipa's are better and TJ'S has the wings!

staff here is incredible. when an online order didn't go thru and when we got there it wasn't on their online computer, the staff was amazing and we were taken care of in under 20 minutes! one of the managers Randy and his team didn't fail to help us even when they were busy. Highly recommend this place! The food and staff are amazing and will definitely be back next time i order pizza.

Great spot with a variety of different menu items not found at other restaurants, not just standard options, Great staff to... Definitely recommend!

came in a little early for my pick up was treated very nice by all the staff. They were all very friendly and even offered me a water or a drink while I wanted for my food. Right on time with the order!

Pretty excited to have finally stopped here - had the soup of the day (chili) and pretzels. The chili was actually spicy, which is a huge win for this southern transplant, and the cheese served with the pretzels was on-point too. Not the overly sweet stuff served most places around here. Looking forward to going back 👍🏻

Jordan is the best. Excellent service, food is fantastic. Awesome blackened salmon. Wish they could bring back live music.
Nice to have a local 3pm happy hour.

Just came for lunch again, and once again I am extremely satisfied. This time I had the Bourbon Bleu Burger with a side of tater tots. The food came out quickly, hot, and cooked to a perfect medium rare. It's a classic setup but they do it better than anyone else's I've had. Props to the kitchen for making it perfectly. Definitely looking forward to my next trip to TJ's!!

What a great place to unwind after a long day at work. I just started going to TJs a couple weeks ago but very impressed. The staff is amazing, the owner seems to be always looking for ways to make the customers experience better. The new happy hour specials and selections are great with many choices. The recently added space (with pool table and dart boards) is beautiful and provides alot of options whether dining or planning a get together for a large group. Bonus: happy hour all day on Sunday and with so many TVs every football game is on. Will definitely be back!

Went to TJs on Cedar for a birthday party. We had the side room all to ourselves and got a few pizzas and some salad. The food was very good and everyone was helpful! We'll definitely go back for regular meals in the future.

Went there on Saturday and my receipt says the cashier was Liz, I’m assuming that’s the same as our server (we had the young thin girl with the brown pony tail) but she was absolutely fantastic. I’m not even a martini drinker but she made the martinis just perfect and I had two. She has a great personality, she was so friendly and happy and easy going. I’m so indecisive so she gave me her recommendations and even had me try the sauce before I placed the order. She convinced me to get the New England Chicken sandwich and that is now my favorite sandwich. She personally made our experience as great as it was. This is going to be my new spot and I am telling everyone I know about it. Definitely two thumbs way, way up and I hope that waitress gets a raise!
