Rob's Kitchen

My husband and I went here for lunch after a hike nearby. We got to sit outside (it was unusually warm for March and we wanted to soak it up) and didn’t have to wait for more than 2-3mins even though they were hopping and seating is somewhat limited. I’m guessing that’s not always the case but I bet their food is easy to take to go as well. Our waitress was great, she helped me decide what to order when I was undecided between two dishes. Our food came out quickly and was filling, tasty, and pretty inexpensive.

Great choice for a quick and hearty bite for anything from an individual to a family. We’ll definitely go back next time we’re in the area. :)

Thank you to Robs in plainville. Great service very nice team to see working together in the kitchen. Tasty food no issues with anything. Everything was fresh and on point. The prices reflect the food portions and the kind staff even help if you don't understand something on the menu. They have freshly made cookies and the coffee tastes great. They have a secret menu that is very authentic and fun to try. We will keep coming back.

I find Rob's kitchen to have a "Homey" feeling to it. The waiters and waitresses always make me feel like I'm part of their family in the way they treat me.
The food is contemporary with a Mexican flair to it. I'm unfamiliar with most Mexican cuisine so I usually sample the menu and "Today's" specials. I have to say that the food is amazing and I think of Rob's place as somewhere to go when I want to indulge myself in some quality time and food

Very tasty breakfasts! I had the green omelet. I remember liking the butter they use on the toast. Good value, was around $64 for 2 adult and 2 kids breakfasts with 2 drinks and a side of bacon. They also have an outdoor patio which would be nice to sit when good weather. Would highly recommend and definitely come here again!

Support Small Business! This was my first time visiting Rob's Kitchen for breakfast. It appears to be family owned. The service and food were great. I like that you have the old school traditional food option and Mexican food option. We had the Mexican breakfast, which was delicious. My wife and I also ordered food to go for my teens. They gave it a thumbs up at home. Enjoy!

Let me just say that this place is a gem! Have been wanting to try it out for awhile and was not disappointed at all. As a born and raised Californian and a half Mexican myself, I know mexican food.
When I had that homemade chorizo torta and menudo today I was transported back home. The flavor of the chorizo on the toasted bread but was still soft with the Oaxaca cheese, man just bliss.
The broth of the menudo was flavorful and the tripe was cooked tender to perfection. I will be back, especially now I know where to go for a good Mexican breakfast.

We visited for breakfast and tried a variety of dishes. I started with a coffee, which was fresh. For the main course, my daughter had the Kid's Silver Dollar Pancakes, which were a hit with our little one. The addition of strawberries on the side was a nice touch and made for a delightful breakfast.

The standout dishes, however, were the Rob's Hash Omelette and the Red Salsa Chilaquiles. The hash and cheese omelette was amazing, packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. But the true star of our meal was the Red Salsa Chilaquiles. They were out of this world – the perfect blend of spice and savory goodness, topped with over-easy eggs and tender azada.

The service was prompt and friendly, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. Vanessa, our cashier, ensured that everything was to our liking and provided excellent customer service.

Overall, Rob's Kitchen offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere with delicious food that leaves a lasting impression. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great breakfast spot in Plainville. We'll definitely be returning.

Best breakfast spot in Plainville. Good selection of Benedict’s, scrambles, and other breakfast items. The secret menu has great Mexican dishes. Rob and his staff are great. Plenty of outdoor tables.

I've driven by this place so many times and I'm so glad I decided to finally stop in. The food is amazing, the prices are reasonable for the quality and portion size and the service was excellent.

Everyone I dealt with there was extremely friendly but my server Maggie went above and beyond and made me feel very welcome.

Amazingly delicious! My husband and I have been going to a Dr in Farmington and came across this place one day on the way back. We always get the breakfast quesadilla and Oaxaca omelette- which comes with salsa and sour cream. They make their own salsa, which is why it tastes soo fresh. It’s my favorite part, literally soo good I could drink it. Breakfast at Rob’s is what makes all these Dr’s visits out there bearable.

Top notch place! This was our time for breakfast because people kept saying it was really good. Plenty of outside seating. Tables had umbrellas. Service was amazing. The gluten free pancakes stuffed with bananas, tasted so good! We will be back soon!

We tried this place as somthing different. We were very happy with breakfast very pleasant staff. Food was solid. Cozy atmosphere. Overall was a good experience. We will definitely be back.

Extremely well priced! Small, humble eatery with Mexican influence. We ate here for brunch and really enjoyed eating outside.

A bit of a water because it is Mother's Day, but everyone was really nice.

A quality local spot with a number of unique offerings including house made chorizo, corned beef hash and salsa. I just post a picture of my fried eggs with corned beef hash to which I had them add their house made chorizo. Delicious!

Update: This morning (7-17-2021) I ordered homemade chorizo and egg scramble which is not on the normal menu. I ordered it with flour tortillas (tortillas de harina). It is my favorite thing lately. So delicious and real Mexican breakfast. I will add the photo here.

The name is deceiving, the food is delicious and the staff are amazing..

Cozy breakfast joint with excellent service and extensive menu! I highly recommend trying one of the breakfast combos to get a taste of a few of their breakfast items.

I also am excited to try the breakfast burrito, omelettes, and lunch menu!

Great food and friendly service. Definitely don't sleep on the secret menu. Small space so may have to wait at peak times but promise it will be worth it.

If the banana bread french toast special is available GET IT, you won't regret it

You can tell the cook is Spanish because of all the perfectly delicious Latin flavors, in addition to the more traditional American diner fare options mixed in--u simply can't go wrong!...specials & secret menu r both awesome too! Clean & cozy atmosphere with a small home kitchen vibe & attentive staff; Maggie was our server today, so friendly & accommodating, as was everyone there..vry reasonable pricing too, better than other diners nearby with less to offer. Thank you all for such a lovely breakfast experience today! We will definitely be back :)
