When my father passed away unexpectedly over the summer, Diana was there for us every step of the way. She was extremely professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable. Her staff was amazing throughout all of the services, and everyone went above and beyond to help our family. From the little details to the big decisions, Duksa Family Funeral Home provided all that we needed so we could focus on grieving and remembering my dad. When my brother passed away very suddenly, and tragically, I had no idea what I was doing. I wandered into Duksa the day after he passed hoping to get some help, and everyone was so kind to me. Tatiana, our funeral director, came and helped me make arrangements for my brother even though I didn't have an appointment. She truly went above and beyond to make his funeral special even though we didn't really have much money to spend. The care and attention she showed us was incredible and very much needed in such a sad time for me and my family. My brother was a decorated veteran of two wars and his remains were treated with kindness and respect. She helped us bury him in the State Veteran's Cemetery and everything went perfectly. I highly recommend Duksa Family Funeral Home to anyone who needs them, especially in a pinch. I also highly recommend Tatiana as your funeral director. She was truly special to us and I will never forget her.

Services were held for my father, Keith O. James, on February 20, 2024. From start to finish, the services rendered to our family we're phenomenal. Our interactions with each member of the staff at Duksa made a very emotional time so much easier to bear. We especially appreciated the patience and kindness of AJ Erickson. He was so accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed, putting our minds at ease every step of the way. I would highly recommend Duksa Funeral Home at Newington to anyone looking for an understanding and caring facility to assist them in making final arrangements for their loved one. We lost our parents within 4 days of each other and Diana and her team were AMAZING! AJ handled my dad's arrangements and then when my mom passed. He was always available when I called with questions and didn't rush us. I can't recommend them more, they are our family funeral home.

I cannot say enough positive things. My grandmother had told us that this is the funeral home she wanted to use when she passed. I can absolutely see why. Our funeral director, Ken, is an absolute GEM. His attention to detail, sympathy, and knowledge made planning her funeral and wake a pain free process. The funeral home is beautifully decorated and their attention to details surpasses any other than I've seen in the area. Ken, you have done such a fantastic service for our family and we cannot thank you enough!

I attended a funeral for my wife's aunt a few weeks ago and was very appreciative of the staff and in particular Ken. In my opinion every funeral home should have someone with a personality of Ken's. He is professional, helpful and genuine. My wife's aunt lived a long and fruitful life and I was glad he was there with a smile and happy demeanor. He was pleasure to talk with and you can tell he enjoys his job. Beyond Ken the flowers that were picked were beyond amazing.

During what has been the most horrible time in my life and having no previous knowledge about the funeral process, Ken stepped in and was able to provide my family and I the most wonderful and personalized service to remember my father’s life. Professionalism and courtesy from the staff along the way made a horrible experience honorable and memorable in the best of ways.

Ken and his crew at Duksa Memorial Funeral Home made us feel so comfortable through the whole planning process of my mother-in-law’s funeral services because they took care of everything!

We would rate the Duksa Family Funeral Home, Newington Memorial, 100 stars if we could. Unfortunately but thankfully, we have used the family several times. Diana was incredible with navigating the process and doing the hard work with us to lighten the load during a very difficult time for our family.

The staff is courteous, professional, respectful and knowledgeable about what they have to offer as well as what options to explore.

Our friends and family have mentioned that the service is one of the best they’ve ever attended. It was appropriate yet felt like being in someone’s house because of the level of detail and care that was put into the presentation of our beloved’s memorial.

Unfortunately the past few years have found our family in the difficult position of saying goodbye to family members who were an intricate part of our lives. This included my husband of nearly fifty two years. Broken hearted, we still faced the impossible task of making funeral arrangements. This is where we had the good fortune of working with Ken Pescatello. Not only is Mr. Pescatello very professional, but he is also extremely knowledgeable. More importantly though, he is kind, sympathetic and caring. I knew right away that with Mr. Pescatello taking charge of things, I would have peace of mind, a beautiful funeral and there would be no stress placed upon me personally. Due to positive past experiences, I naturally wanted to work with Mr. Pescatello again. When I called Duksa Family Funeral Home in Newington, I was told that Mr. Pescatello no longer worked there and when I asked where he had gone, they told me they did not know. I was puzzled by their response. Thankfully, I managed to find Mr. Pescatello on my own.
