U-Haul Moving & Storage of Plainville

There were some concerns with customer service, but the Madeline, the store manager worked overtime to make sure I was taken care of. She ensures great customer care! I will definitely return to this store when I have moving needs.

The staff was friendly on my visit 9-12-2022 in picking up boxes and packing tape. The office was clean, and parking was available in the front lot. A receipt was given after the purchase. There looks to be plenty of storage units if needed.

Today I observed an incident that speaks to the caliber of people working at Plainville UHaul. There was a customer who had an unreasonable request for a cash refund. He was relentless! He continued to badger her and he wouldn't leave. I've worked with the public for over 50 years, and I don't know how I would have handled it. I felt bad for the 3 people at the front end who were trying to help other customers, and I also noticed a camaraderie among them as they supported each other. The young man who waited on me continued, unfazed, smiling, knowledgeable, and polite.

Who wants to move? No one I know. Let's try to be kinder out there to the people who are charged with enforcing rules they didn't create. Nice job, Plainville!

After reading several reviews I was skeptical about booking a truck here.
My experience was AMAZING!!!
Upon arriving a you g man in the parking lot who was disinfecting trucks directed me to the front door for check in.
Inside the place was very clean, spacious and well organized. No line, I was the only person checking in. Rob at the counter was super friendly explained everything to me and all was super smooth.
My truck vas very clean and it actually smelled good.
My experience from point A to point B all was A+

The service i got from me and my family’s move about a couple months ago was amazing!!!! especially from one of the workers Alyssa, she made sure everything was intact and ready, she great employee!!! very high energy which was good. One other employee she didn’t really seem to care about what we needed. but besides that amazing

I went down to U-Haul last week because we had run out of propane at the shop where I work and were in emergency need of a tank or two to be filled up. I was nervous, and a little intimidated but I left U-Haul impressed! Jesse was the man who helped me at U-Haul and he was fantastic! He not only helped me by lifitng the tanks out of my vehicle and back in but he also bungeed corded them in so they would not tip over on my way back to the shop. I would highly recommend U-Haul if you need help with propane! Jesse if you see this I really appreciated your kindness and help!!

Uhaul in Meriden failed on multiple levels and we ended up here an hour behind schedule with no truck.
What a fantastic experience I had here following the disastrous one in Meriden. The young woman at the front desk bent over backwards to get us in a truck that would fit our needs as fast as possible and out the door. The checkout and checkin were smooth as glass and the employees seemed genuinely happy to help us with our move. I highly encourage people to rent from this specific location if it is not too far out of the way.

I've been to other uhauls before and it always takes a long time and the people never seemed to want to be at work but this Uhaul in Plainville is different. I got welcomed right away, the staff gave me a recommendation that was perfect for my situation and they had a contagious positive attitude the entire time. And the best part is that I was in and out, it wasn't an all day interaction like at other places. Made my Outlook on Uhaul completely change and I will definitely recommend to a friend or two! The general manager Paul went above and beyond to ensure our family got our Ubox sent from CO to CT for our long distance move in a timely manner. The driver who delivered the box was friendly and impressive with her forklift skills. She was later than originally quoted but called to alert us with her ETA. Our contents arrived in great condition.

I personally made a small mixup with my storage locations in my drop off location for my one-way U-Haul. But I got in contact with Nick and he was able to fix that matter for me in seconds , with no additional charges that I assumed that I was going to occur since I was changing the location of the drop off. Nick was quick and professional with resolving this matter for me great job bud. You made what I assumed would have been something That was going to be difficult a breeze thank you

I’m not one to reward ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ However...the team of employees that assisted us deserves ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ in my book.

Great experience with the GM Tim, Pete who installed a hitch and Chantale at the front. The service was super fast and the staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Their prices were great too. Highly recommend.

On google maps it looks like there isn't a facility here, but there is. All three employees I interacted with were quite pleasant, and knew what they were talking about. I used a trailer to bring a motorcycle up from Hamden to Burlington, and my experience with Uhaul was great. Solid place, and easy to get a trailer on short notice, even on weekends

The staff was helpful, courteous and professional. Gilman had us hooked up and ready to go without hassle or delay and even turned around on his own time to help unhook when we got back after their usual closing time. Thanks Guys

Wound up in a bad situation due to Uhaul (the company) messing some things up, the guys here at Uhaul (the store) dealt with everything quickly and professionally, and we left smiling. Would highly recommend this location.

Super friendly and fast! Great place to rent anything you may need! Highly recommended.

The prices are good, checked a few others out before them, way too expensive, and outside non controlled enviroment, here for 120.00 i got an inside med sized storage space, door opener and it is environmentally controlled.
