The Back Nine Tavern at Stanley Golf Course

Busy for a Wednesday night, the patio has plenty of seating, with umbrellas at most tables. Great atmosphere with music playing. We had a few times. Chopped greek salad, cheeseburger between a grill cheese, potato skins, & nachos!

Oh man is this place great. Pizza selection is great. Rueben was fantastic. Yuca fries were new to me and I liked them. I will return for the lobster roll I have heard so much about. Wait staff was very nice.

We at the same time as an event and they could have used another server or 2 but everyone was working hard and making up the difference. Food was very good and drinks priced right. Will be back!

Great atmosphere, good food selections from burgers, pizza to smoked meats. Food was good, basic draft beer selection.

This place was quite nice. The food was OK and they were pretty nice. I was at a private event, so I didn't take pictures. If you're in the area, stop by and grab a bite. Oh, the golf course and driving range are there as well. Make it a day...

Very great spot to go in the warmer months to sit outside. Staff is very wonderful & you don’t have to wait long for your meals/drinks. Gets pretty busy, but there’s plenty of space.

Ben waited on us he was wonderful . Very attentive and friendly .Rueben was great and Italian sandwich came out quick and were tasty. Large glass of Kendall Jackson and 2 beers for 51 dollars . If you come here ask for Ben.

Was just there for a family get together, post funeral and burial. Have golfed at Stanley many times and often eaten at The Back Nine after our rounds.
The food is always very good. Great atmosphere too, both inside and on the patio. Stately old building, great views of the course from the patio. Dining here never disappoints, it's always good.

The staff is amazing. Each one was kind and helpful. Food for the event was tasty and fresh. I would highly recommend this establishment for functions and family events.

The main room has a great big fireplace and is a great function room for medium sized parties. Drink selection is great, quick and friendly staff, what more could you ask for? Definitely put this on your list. It's a place for more than just an after round drink!

I attended a meeting here and the breakfast buffet was very good. All the food was served hot. The variety of offerings was excellent. The service staff was attentive to every request.

They were amazing to work with. Everything was smooth. Can't say enough about the service it was phenomenal. They had it decorated beautifully for a holiday wedding. Good was superb. Would highly recommend Back 9 to anyone as a venue or even just to go for a bite to eat. Friendly and personable. Was the best wedding ever!!! Thank you to the staff!!

Had dinner on the patio; setting was great and the service was just as good. Our server Allison was very friendly and personable and was very attentive to our requests. Food was also very good, I had the buffalo chicken salad which was perfect and the serving size was just right. Will definitely be making it a go-to place in the future!

My family and I recently had a wedding reception for my brother and his wife. Don and his team did an amazing job! They were so accomodating from start to finish and we couldn’t be happier of how everything turned out. We were concerned about the older folks getting up the hill but Don was able to get one of his staff to drive a golf cart for them and the driver was so nice and friendly and everyone appreciated the ride. Don was there during the reception to ensure all of the vendors were set up and good to go! The wait staff and bar tenders were very friendly as well! The banquet room is beautiful with plenty of space to have 100+ guests and room for a dance floor. We have had a few other parties at the Back Nine and the food and service always exceeds expectations. Thank you again Don & the staff at the Back Nine.. Excellent Job!

My go to place, awesome patio, great pizza.
Its a beautiful place to sit out and have some drinks and food. Everyone is friendly and food is consistent. Prices are reasonable and drinks are also and they don't serve in those stupid little skinny glasses.

Always nice to visit. Sit back and relax with a glass of wine 🍷

Just attended a funeral reception here for my dear aunt. The view and the room are lovely. The setting is very warm and intimate. The food was delicious and the staff were very warm and friendly, as well as efficient. Highly recommend for gatherings of all kinds.

I read about the Back Nine placing very high in a recent pizza contest, but i had never been. Well, it's true. It was one of the best pizzas we've had in New Britain. Sausage w/broccoli rabe is a combo i hadn't seen before, but it worked !! Not only was the food delicious, but the service on the busy outdoor patio was fast and friendly. The fried asian dumplings had just the right crispness, the draft beer was ice cold and they earned my repeat business.
