Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home located in East Hartford, CT. Provides excellent services. I have requested their services four times since 2018. They are available to respond to any questions, they are compassionate, and very supportive. They go above and beyond to ensure the family is well taken care of. The staff is the best of the best.

Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home provided exceptional care of our family and our young loved one who died suddenly. Jonathan, Janice and the entire staff are amazing. They were so compassionate, patient and caring. We are forever grateful for their support and guidance through the most painful time of our lives. They provided an amazing tribute service to celebrate the life of our family member. Their funeral home is beautiful, spacious and clean. They also provided a graveside service which gave our family peace and confort Jonathan and Janice went above and beyond and more to meet the needs of our family. The staff took exceptional care of every detail. They asked about my loved ones life and created a personalized service, paying tribute to and celebrating the life that was lived. This funeral home is truly amazing!! The staff was super understanding of our needs and Chris, the Funeral Director was phenomenal! He helped me every step of the way and made this process easy and run very smooth which is what we needed with the unexpected death of my cousin. They were very accommodating, super clean, and very COVID friendly! I honestly can't express how fantastic and comforting they were!

Alfredo you are amazing person, I couldn’t imagine dealing with anyone more knowledgeable, caring and understanding. Our daughter’s service was perfect!! She was celebrated better than I could have picture, the attention for detail was unimaginable and she looked phenomenal. Her hair and makeup were on point. Thank you for everything!!

Unfortunately I had to make arrangements to have services for my son. The shock and pain of a sudden death of a child is beyond describtion. I contacted Newkirk and spoke with Tiana and explained my situation. She immediately made me feel like I wasn’t alone and would be there to get me through. What she and Newkirk did for me and my family was beyond any kind of expectations we had. Dominic was a Veteran and she made sure he was buried with full Military Honors. They paid attention to all of details about him and even made sure that a Yankee game was on the TV during his service. At the beginning of a crisis as this you’re completely lost mentally and the only way our family made it through was the Courteous and Professionalism displayed by this wonderful group of people at Newkirk and Whitney that serve our community with the Highest Standards.

Newkirk and Whitney was extremely helpful guiding me through the funeral process for my mother. They explained everything, were very compassionate and also followed up to help through the grieving process.

All staff went above and beyond to meet our needs. The Dignity Network also honored a 20 year old prepaid agreement for a burial originally planned for Florida. They were outstanding!

Carolyn szymaszek was wonderful made a somewhat serious meeting almost fun. Enjoyed picking out what I wanted and Carolyn answered all my questions she was very good at answering all my questions. It was a good experience. Much better than I had anticipated. Would highly recommend her to my friends and family.
