Zinneken's Belgian Waffles and Café (Glastonbury)

My husband had been asking me to go with him to Zinneken's for awhile. I am not a morning person and also not a big breakfast eater, so, I kept putting it off. My birthday came up and he mentioned the Cafe was open until 2pm. I finally said yes and paid a visit to this wonderful, amazing place. First of all, there were five of us, we called before going and they reserved seating for us. I ordered the Belgian Waffle with blueberries and whipped cream. My husband had mentioned to the staff it was my birthday. To my amazement, another waffle called the Liege was place on my table with a candle for my birthday! I ate both waffles! They were so good!! The Liege was EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD! I highly recommend stopping by this wonderful small business. As mention above, the service is excellent, the atmosphere is wonderful and what can I say, the food is....AHMAZING!

This place is a gem! I’ll start off with the staff they are all so sweet and very attentive to the customers needs! The place is so pretty and nicely decorated and not to mention very clean! And the best part the food is delicious, the waffle had the most amazing taste and don’t overwhelm. The coffee was also good, I would highly recommend giving them a try!

These are quite possibly the best waffles I've ever had, the breakfast, coffee and service are equally good! I've tried a little bit of everything except the hot tea and can highly recommend it all! The only drawback is the space is small so plan accordingly but the staff is very efficient and keeps things moving. If you have a large party I would recommend possibly calling ahead for accommodations. Absolutely wonderful stop and we will definitely be back. You just need to build one closer to us in Massachusetts! <3

We indulged in a delightful experience, savoring a latte alongside Belgian waffles, over-easy eggs with hash, and bacon. Our culinary expectations were not only met but exceeded – each dish was both accurate and delicious. While the cozy venue does have limited seating, it's worth noting that window seats are a bit elevated, so plan accordingly. Overall, a great dining experience, just remember to plan ahead. The precision of our order added the final touch to an enjoyable visit.

The only downside here is how crowded it can get, but hey, it's popular for a reason! I just got a waffle with whipped cream and strawberries. No need to worry if the berries will come out mushy there wasn't a dent on one of em. Plus, I could've sworn the whipped cream was house made (but don't quote me on that). Cozy atmosphere, all around good place to spend ya money

We had an excellent breakfast today. My mocha latte was absolutely delicious! The waffles were so light and full of flavor! We can't wait to go back to try more stuff.

Great tasting waffles, courteous staff, cool decor. My family went and it happened to be the second anniversary. We were met at the door, greeted with cheerful smiles and small talk. We ordered. The food came out quickly. The food was fresh, delicious and authentic. The cafe was a little tight for the amount of chairs and tables but it wasn’t packed and you’re asked to finish within 60 minutes by a small sign for other guests to sit. It was definitely authentic. I visited Belgium last year spring. The mannekin pis was a nice touch. It’s conveniently located and has plenty of parking. Visited Brown Butter creations after.

I was pleasantly pleased with the service I received. The atmosphere was great. The food was phenomenal. Looks just like it does on the menu when it comes out. Taste even better

I was extremely surprised by how quick the food came out, AND the food was spot-on.

Point-blank: the waffles are amazing.

I had the fruit delight (waffle w/ sliced strawberries and bananas) with a side of 2 sausage patties. It was the perfect blend of sweet and salty.

This place is very comfy and have amazing delicious waffles! Me and my mom went to this place for early morning breakfast and we had a great time! The two waffles we got were the Liege and Brussels. Both waffles were very delicious and can vary depending on what kind of mood you are in! I recommend this spot for whenever you want something sweet and savory! 10/10!

It was my first time at this most beautiful breakfast spot. I felt like I was in a cafe in Europe. Everything was so amazing and unique, and I plan to make this my go-to coffee spot. The owner and staff were very friendly and kind.

Wow, it's a very fun waffle place. Delicious sweet and crunchy sugary raffle with a variety of usual toppings. 10 house specialties, but they're all good. It's not cheap, 8$ each on average, but it's a great little treat. Seating is a but tight, most inside, only 2 tables outside. Service a bit slow as well.

This place is in high demand and I kind of see why. The waffles are good and the location is good too, but the service was honestly amazing. They were pretty organized about getting people in and requiring large parties for the large tables. We only had to wait about 10 minutes or so and once we placed our order they let us take a seat and a guy who was a little bit older then the rest of the employees seem like a manager or something brought our food out and was super polite and professional. The food was all great and our coffee was unique and tasty! It was a good time.

I live walking distance and finally tried Zinneken’s and so glad we did! The waffles were amazing, my husband got poached eggs on top and they were perfect, the home fries were amazing and I tried the omelet. Both the atmosphere and staff were lovely. We will definitely be back!

Best waffles I have ever had. The owners and staff there are amazing people who strive to give the customer the best possible European experience. Words can not describe the excellence this establishment exhibits.

Zinneken’s is just amazing. They have a great delicious waffle with a variety of options. All the fruit tops were fresh. Staffs are also very courteous.

I had tried their Harvard square cafe way back and so glad they have one here in CT.

🧇 Dame Blanche: Liege waffle with Chocolate and whipped cream. Their waffles are legit and I was immediately nostalgic thinking about the waffles in Grand Place in Brussels.
☕ Iced Vanilla Latte - shot of espresso and French vanilla syrup. This was a perfect pick me up.

The interior is so cute. It’s on the pricier side but I enjoyed this spot and will be back to fulfill my Belgian waffle cravings 😍

What a terrific way to start the day. A delicious breakfast of waffles and bacon . The coffee was outstanding. Amber was perfect. She is the most professional server.super friendly making a perfect breakfast experience.
