Very knowledgeable and friendly. Steve is arguably the most knowledgeable bike fitter around. It takes about 2 hours for a professional fit but is worth every penny. Over the years I have bought about 8 bikes here for myself and family. They carry custom built Seven titanium bikes, I just bought one. I also have a Trek Emonda and my wife has a Domane, both bought there as well

I was looking for a steel frame touring bike. Steve at Bicycles East took the time to listen to my wants, where other bike shops just pushed their in stock bikes that did match what I wanted. In 2 weeks Bicycles East built my bike to my specs and it rides great. Thanks Steve and the Bicycles East team!

Fantastic knowledge of various types of bikes and equipment. I went in planning to buy a lighter bike but Deb took the time to really get to know what I was looking for, analyzed the gears of my current bike, and I wound up with just a few new pieces of equipment instead -- and achieved what I wanted. I trust them completely.

Deb and Steve have been very helpful to me for the past 10+ years. Over the years we purchased two Giant road bikes, three mountain bikes and a hybrid. Most importantly, Steve was able to work out some fit issues and was even able to solve an issue where my foot was falling asleep. He is a great bike fitter!
Deb is very knowledgeable and very involved with area groups dedicated to ensuring bike riders have safe places to ride and are safe on the road.

The first time I came in here I was in the middle of trying a number of different bikes from different brands/shops. I worked with Deb who was extremely helpful and kind. She brought me out to test drive and settle on the best option for me from the shop. After visiting other shops I decided to go with a Trek bike. When I came back in a couple weeks later I worked with Steve who helped me size the correct bike and made it perfect for me. I ordered the bike and I picked it up today. Perfectly assembled and Steve worked with me again to make sure everything was adjusted correctly. Overall a really great experience from this bike shop.

This shop is fantastic! Deb was incredibly helpful and took me in the back parking lot to try out the mountain bike I was looking at. I haven’t biked for 12+ years so I was looking at one of the more basic bikes ahead of coming in and no one tried to upsell on more expensive bikes which I really appreciate it since I am on a little bit of a budget. Even though I got one of the cheaper bikes, I still felt that Deb was incredibly helpful and attentive in teaching me about the bike and making sure that that it was the right fit for my needs. Walked in with no previous knowledge about e-bikes. Steve took me in, asked me a ton of questions, showed me their options, and got me situated with the perfect one. I picked it up in-store a few days later and Deb gave me some really helpful information. Awesome bike-buying experience!

I went to a bunch of shops looking for a bike, Bicycles East was the best by far. I worked with Deb and Steve, who both listened to what I was looking for and helped me find it. I am so glad I found their shop and will be returning there for all my service and supply needs. They didn't try to upsell me and steered me away from more expensive bikes that I suggested but wouldn't have suited my needs. Deb spent a lot of time test riding bikes with me to make sure I had the perfect fit. The bike I chose was in stock and I took it home that day but Deb checked warehouses for all the bikes that I was contemplating. This shop is friendly, knowledgeable and pricing was similar to the other places. I highly recommend going there if you're in the market for a bike!

My experience is great with the owners. I must say outstanding!! She helped us decide on a model/size that is comfortable to my son. Before we make a purchase we made sure the bike is perfect for him by going on a trial ride. Quality always comes with price. Customers always look for service, which you will experience here besides the product.

The best experience I've had while shopping in a long time. I went in with a general idea of what I wanted to do with a bike but wasn't sure what to get. They helped me try out different bikes and work through what my goals are, and were able to find the perfect fit for me. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back in the future!

Steve and the entire staff were pleasant, patient and accommodating. All my questions and concerns were addressed, and it was an overall very positive experience. I travelled two hours to purchase from Bicycles East, and it was worth every mile. Oh, and I just LOVE my new Trek Dual Sport +

Steve was excellent do deal with given the current situation. We were in the market for 2 new bikes, but given social distancing guidelines had to purchase them sight unseen while talking with Steve on the phone in the parking lot of their shop. He was extremely helpful in verifying the bikes would be a good fit, and got them ready for us to take within an hour; even though we showed up at the store on a whim during what was clearly an extremely busy time for them.We will definitely be going back whenever we need anything cycling related.

I was amazed when I found out Bicycles East was able to sell bikes during quarantine. I knew it was going to be a little bit different of an experience having to do everything over the phone and only seeing the bike through the window. I knew I wanted a Trek so I read many reviews and knew this was the shop I wanted to go with. Deb made sure my every need was satisfied. She explained everything to me regarding my Trek Marlin 4 making sure I was comfortable. She even modled on it for me through the doorway since we are similar in height.Deb made me feel so comfortable being my eyes while listening to my needs. My all around experience was amazing in this rough time.

Have had a few visits now and all good experiences. Shout out to Nate in service, specifically. Hugely helpful over both the phone and email, got a fork cut timely for a bike build at height of quarantine and most recently got me in and out same day with a quick issue. Great shop!

Hands down the best experience you could ask for in a bike shop. Steve, Deb and the team are amazing. You can bank on extraordinary service when you visit because that is what you'll get.

After visiting the store everyday as their UPS guy, I decided to become a customer and am glad I did. Everyone is extremely helpful. Aubrey took the time to answer all my questions on accessories and apparel and helped me select the right items for me.

Steve, one of the owners, serviced my bike and bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect for me. The range and breadth of his knowledge is staggering.

Great shop. Currently curbside so call ahead and arrange what you need. Once you get there u will call again from your car and they will meet you outside. I wanted my 20 +year old mountain bike tuned up. The cost wasn't worth it, I discussed a new bike and they had a good option from the inventory. Great service and I will donate my old bike to the boy scouts. Would recommend it is a family owned business.

This is in my opinion, the best bicycle shop in central CT. The employees go above and beyond to help out with anything you need, and any questions you have. I recently purchased 2 bikes from them in early September, 2020. The pandemic has been brutal on cycling inventory. Nobody has bikes. My eta delivery dates were originally slated for Spring but were pushed far back towards November (no fault of the shop at all...every manufacturer and shop in the country is experiencing this) and Debbie from Bicycles East encouraged me to try and find these models anywhere because they wanted me to get them as soon as possible and there are uncertainties with changes the companies may make with bikes in the new model year. I felt bad because I wanted to give them my business but they assured me it is more important to get the specific models/trim I want as soon as possible due to the uncertainties during the pandemic. The care and honesty from Bicycles East is incredible. Even though my 2 bikes won't come from Bicycles East, I have numerous upgrades for my incoming bike that I set up with Bicycles East prior. Once it arrives, Bicycles East will be installing the parts. That's another thing: Bicycles East has one of the most impressive service areas I've ever seen in a shop. Years ago, when I was first looking for a mountain bike, I remember Steve giving me a tour of the shop and even set me up on 2 different models to try out back. This experience back in about 2017 has since stood out from other shops and that is why I choose them over others. Other shops are great too, but there is just something special about the experience at Bicycles East. We've also bought other accessories and an indoor trainer from the shop, which Steve took the time to show me how it operates and set it up for us. I will be getting all my service done on bikes here and any parts I need ordered here. And possibly down the road, maybe even buy a drool worthy Seven Cycles titanium hardtail in the future. If you are in need of a new bike, parts, accessories, or service, give Bicycles East a serious consideration. They are THAT GOOD.

Simply stated, Bicycles East is a gem. Steve, Deb and the entire staff treats customers like....Wait for it, 'customers' and not someone interrupting their day. Respect, courtesy is the norm, Never pressure selling, just very friendly technically correct advice and suggestions.
Nate and the Service Dept are on the top of their game. They really know their stuff. A great crew. I feel very confident in the work performed.

I was interested in an e-Bike, after speaking with Steve, Deb and Beth I test rode the Trek of my choice, ( try test riding on the Internet ) loved the e-bike and bought it . I opted for Steve's optional fitting, well worth the investment, the bike fits me like a glove. I could not be happier. I'm a customer for life.

Brought 2 hybrid bikes for long overdue service and some repair. Technician called within 40 minutes
To tell us what would be needed (Nate) and to get authorization. Told bikes would be started on Thursday. And mid day Thursday they were
Ready. Curbside pickup. On drop off saw several other cars doing drop off and in the middle of the work day saw two more cars doing a drop and pick up. Busy shop. Very personable and Steve was a Delight. Shop located about 30 minutes from our house and it is worth the trip.
