They roll their own cigars with tobacco from Connecticut and are very good.

Best cigar lounge around. The first time my husband and I came we were treated like we were regular customers. Vicki is the best. Andrew and Christine are also very nice. Everyone is very friendly even the customers.

Beyond the normal cigar shop. Helped me find a pipe to start with. Explained how to pack it and light it correctly. When I had a cigar in the store. The local guys and regulars even help you with cigar recommendations and great conversation!

I first discovered them at the Big E 2021 and have become a loyal customer ever since, service is great, and I love that I can come and enjoy a cigar here with my wife. The best part is the BYOB and everyone shares even though that don’t know you.

I've been visiting the fine folks at CVT for going on 10 years now. They have a a decent selection of cigars at good prices. What makes this shop is the clientele and staff though. Every time I stop in it's like going home.

I go there regularly. An excellent place to buy and hang out and relax with a cigar. The store has two events for March, on the 11th, a rep from My Father's cigar will be there and on the 17th, they have the St Patrick's event, which they release the Cleburne cigar, a cigar with Irish whiskey flavor notes. It only comes out on St. Patrick's Day and it is usually sold out within a couple of days

Not a tone of selection but all good stuff. Nice staff good atmosphere with other customers.

This place is cool. The owner is on hand and always happy to make a recommendation if your not sure what to purchase. The variety is excellent and you can sit inside and enjoy a cigar in one of their comfy chairs.

Brought some of their house Brands. The employee was very helpful and knowledgeable, I didn't get her name, if I'm ever back in the area I will surely stop by again.

Walk through the door and immediately you know you're in a good, old fashioned tobacconist (sorry, no cigarettes, but they do sell loose for rolling). Prices are below others in the area. Sure, on occasion they sell a cigar that's blocked or in some way substandard (remember, these are hand made items), but they stand behind their products. Bring the problem to their attention, and it'll be fixed with a friendly smile.

Tobacconist says it all. This is a shop that celebrates this fine product in the cigar and pipe varieties. Their OPK = Old Powder Keg signature cigar is strong robust and a glorious smoke. It also pays tribute to the history of the area where the one of the nations top five gunpowder producers operated in the 1800s. Great cigars, excellent atmosphere (especially for lighting one up) and friendly service has made this my go to shop for many years. Enjoy!

Loved their Battleground Cigars. Especially their OPK fires. Best part is you can smoke inside. One of the last places in Connecticut that you can still do that. They also offer a fine selection of other cigars. The girl that owns the shop is truly a blast to see and the staff couldn't be any more friendlier.

I go here for their House Battleground series and you’ve gotta get the CT wrapper. Wonderful mild stick and price point is great. They like to talk to you, make recommendations, and generally chat up a bit. Very friendly.

Great selection of cigars, knowledgeable staff and very friendly. Prices are good and they have their own line of cigars which are very good. A lot of history in the shop.

Went in today for the first time. Service was excellent and the young lady working there was extremely friendly and helpful. Smoking a U. S. Grant right now and it is one of the best I've ever smoked. I'll be back for sure!

I hate seeing a shop with a cigar sign hanging outside and walking into a dismal selection and a glorified cigarette store. Connecticut Valley Tobacconist has a great interior and represents what a real cigar shop should look like, their selection and service is great. A must see!
