Stopped in today to try something new in the area and was pleasantly surprised. I had looked into this place a few times but wasn't sure at first. If you're on the fence, go for it. I started with the Tom-Yum shrimp soup. The unique flavor of spice and sweetness had me drinking the broth. I then ordered the Me Hungry meal, because I wanted to try the fried rice and the chicken satay. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and mixed with the sauce and rice it was filling, but not heavy. Made for a very nice late lunch meal. I also ordered the fried bananas and ice cream, and that was delicious as well. I definitely will be back to try something new next time. I recommend to anyone looking to try some good Thai in the area.

Absolutely amazing!! Beautiful very clean place well decorated. Husband wife team that make you feel at home. The food is exceptional. Chicken satay and basil fried rice were tied with the best I've ever had. Thai tea was epic. If you are within 30/40 miles of this place it's a no brainer you won't find better in the area.

Passing through town on our way to Philly and stopped in for lunch. Probably the most authentic Thai food we’ve ever had and everything was delicious. Drunken noodles, spring rolls, and spicy basil Thai rice. Server was cool; he had so many interesting stories. We will definitely be stopping by on our way back home.

My first time eating Thai. I'm glad I chose Krua Thai Cafe. The staff was friendly and answered all my questions. The food was delicious.
If you like spicy, choose medium. For me, it was the perfect heat to accent the taste of the food.

Perfection in Thai cuisine and food in general. I love to not just eat "American" food because there is so much more to life than meat, potatoes, and hamburgers

Went here on a date for dinner. Nice atmosphere, great and friendly service and delicious and fresh food. Although its maybe a bit pricey, its worth it for the authenticity, freshness, quality, and flavor. I ordered the Duck Tamarind and it was both crispy on the outside yet juicy and delicious on the inside. Not dry at all and not soggy either, just right. It also came with yummy Pad Thai. We also got fried tofu and steamed dumplings, both fresh and very tasty. I definitely reccomend!

Good, authentic thai food. The drunken noodles are good, so is the pad thai and basil fried rice. Loved the satay. Definately get the panang curry and ton kha soup, I love them.

Wash it all down with a lovely thai iced tea!

The proprietor prepares the food herself! Authentic Thai cuisine.
Very attentive service. Unique setting for a restaurant. I'm not saying how it is unique. You will have to see for yourself!

My mind is blown that anyone would give this place a low rating, if anyone is second guessing, do not. If you are from York, you know there are not tons of options in York and appreciate something unique and cultured. There are a handful of Thai places in York and most of them are about equivalent. I have not tried an inferior one i would not visit again. None have disappointed me. I have also lived in Philly for 6 years so i wouldn't praise bad food. I had the Pad thai, which i always seem to get when i get Thai and i had no complaints, i appreciated the amount of spring rolls we received for the money. This place was also really cool as it has an old bank vault inside, and the family that owned the place was very friendly and made the experience even better. Definitely worth the visit, don't let the old brick exterior of the building or random negative reviews change your mind, some people just like to complain.

The food was excellent. The restaurant space is also charmingly decorated with Thai tapestries, photos and fabrics.

Really Neat little mom and pop style shop! Brought 4 of my friends after the first visit with me and one other friend and they all loved it. One of my friends is vegan and doesn’t get to try or experience much variety in dine in’s since most places have very few select items that are vegan friendly. I am highly impressed with the owner’s wife (the chef’s) extreme versatility and ability to adapt most of the dishes to the vegan palette. We all enjoyed our meals! The Owner and server is super friendly and very conversational which gives a very welcoming vibe and the interior design is amazing! BONUS: The Chef is a Speed Queen, while maintaining highly quality taste 🤩 you will never wait long for your food. Kisses to the Chef 💋

Ps: The Gyoza steamed dumplings with special soy sauce is a must have!

I can't believe we didn't know about this gem of a restaurant sooner than today! We love Thai food and Krua Thai Cafe did not disappoint us in any respect. The service was friendly and informative, the food was fresh and vibrant with layers of flavor, and the atmosphere was relaxing and inviting. Very pretty decor in a cool old bank building complete with open vault door standing ajar in the back of the dining room. Everything we ordered was delicious and we left fully satisfied. We will be regular customers from now on.

Edit:
Thanks to the owner for a response to let me know my extremely slight complaint has been noted. I have changed my review to 5 stars.

This place is truly a gem. The spicy pork belly is great & the tamarind duck is something of legend. Like, truly, I would consider offering my first born child for the duck recipe. The building is unique, being in an old bank. Seeing the vault door & its inner workings is pretty neat. The service was good & fast. So, why not a 5-star review? To be honest, I feel a little bad writing this, but I’m hoping it reaches the owner to take into consideration. The owner is a very pleasant, personable & kind man (which is why I feel bad writing this), but when I get my food I honestly just want to be left alone to enjoy my meal. Both times I’ve come the owner has talked my & my company’s ears off. When I go out to eat, I want to relax, enjoy a little relative silence or conversation amongst my company & enjoy my meal. Last time he talked to us for 5-10 minutes after giving us our food. It feels rude to just start cramming delicious food into my face while someone is talking to me, so I obliged & listened to him speak when I really just wanted to be left alone & start eating. Again, a very nice guy, don’t let this detract from the amazing food & service! This is just the best way I could think of to make the suggestion without being done rudely or awkwardly in person. I love Krua Thai!

This place has the best Thai food I've ever had. It was spicy, flavorful, and just delicious. The bubble tea was the perfect sweetness. Mango and sticky rice for dessert was on point. Our server was incredibly eccentric and really just wouldn't stop talking while we were trying to eat, but it was tolerable.
