Robert Cox Jewelry is the place to go for jewelry repair. We had a ruby ring repaired there several months ago. On our recent trip we purchased a new setting for a diamond. Annie is very helpful, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to deal with. The rings were done when promised and our new setting was actually less than the estimate. I would not hesitate to recommend Robert Cox Jewelry to anyone.

Used this business for their watches and watch repair for decades. Sadly, the owner has decided to retire and the business is no longer in business. Will be missed for their excellent customer service and care.

Don’t trust this jeweler. The markup is outrageous and inventory is unimpressive. They tried to sell me jewelry out of a catalog and when I asked which company the catalog was from, they refused to answer. I found the same catalog online with much lower prices than Robert Cox jewelers was asking for the same pieces. They are arrogant, greedy and try to talk customers into something other than what they originally wanted. It is not a welcome environment, and there are plenty of other places to shop. I would recommend going elsewhere.

I can’t remember the last time I reviewed a place of business. Generally I have a high tolerance for policies and procedures but this experience set me off.
Don’t go there. The owner is arrogant, rude and demeaning. It’s no wonder they had to close their Monroeville Mall store. And I don’t think this store is long for the world either with the owner’s attitude of customer service.
I brought a pendant in for repair and the sales lady suggested some modifications which I accepted. The changes included the addition of a new chain along with a modification to the pendant. I picked up the item Friday and brought it home for my wife’s approval. She had trouble fastening the chain plus, unknown to me, she had a suitable chain in her drawer already.
So I returned the chain on Tuesday only to be told I cannot get a refund only store credit. She then proceeded to give me a store card for the entire amount (which was double the cost of the chain alone). When I saw this, I pointed it out. She thanked me and corrected the card.
I then asked if there was someone I could speak to about a cash refund. I was given to the owner. I felt he surely should understand. Not so.
My impression was that I was bringing the item home for my wife’s approval and that I should be able to return it if necessary. After picking the item up on Friday, I returned the chain on Tuesday.
The owner would not budge on his “policy” of no refunds and he repeatedly accused me of taking the item home using it and then returning it. I deeply resented the implications since it is a ridiculous charge and there is no basis in fact. He also was not willing to take into account the fact that I had already effectively refunded to him the cost of the chain by pointing out the error made by the sales lady.
The cost involved here is small but it speaks volumes as to the way the owner thinks of his customers.
