Hampton Inn St. Louis-Downtown (At the Gateway Arch)

Very happy overall. The parking is not valet but park yourself in the attached garage and you use your room key to come and go as you please. Rooms were clean and nice, great view of river and arch. Staff were friendly at counter and the breakfast was great also. They do not have free cold water in the lobby like other spots so keep water with you during the summer. A 10 minute walk to the Cardinals games at Busch, and 5 minutes to the Arch. Bathtubs still in rooms, the tv’s are not smart (no Netflix ie). Perfect spot.

Amazing amazing amazing people in the front desk. Room is clean. People at front desk are amazingly nice. They know how to take care of a guest. My family really liked it. I travel a lot and have varied experience at Hilton properties. This property is absolutely nice not just because of the location but because of the staff. Again front desk folks are really nice. Great relief to the people who are staying in the hotel.

Room was typical Hampton and that's what we got. The hotel is within walking distance of the arch and several good restaurants . The staff was super friendly and helpful. The $20/night for the view was ok, here's my view and you can decide if it's worth it. I would stay here again.

With limited time spent at this establishment, I will provide a concise summary of my experience. The front desk staff demonstrated exceptional customer service by accommodating an early check-in after an extensive drive. The breakfast provided the following morning was of high quality, and the staff member overseeing the breakfast area displayed commendable interpersonal skills towards myself and other guests.

Nice stay. The employees are what makes this place. The overpriced parking is ridiculous. The arch view was nice for a 20$ extra fee. Pool was nice and heated we stayed during the week was quiet, room 1608 shower was great. Overall 2 nights 477$ bed was hard. Elevators had some issues and the AC unit was older it seemed

We stayed here during a marathon weekend with 5 adults and two kids. I cannot say enough about the nice staff here! They were so kind and so helpful, and we were not the easiest guests. It started Saturday morning, with one of my kids managing to lock us out of one of our adjoined rooms from inside the other adjoined room. No problem, I have a key, we’ll go in the hall and go through the main door. Nope! We had closed the swing bar door guard, so you could only open the door a few inches. I called down to the desk in a bit of a panic. We needed to get my daughter’s glasses out of that room and leave quickly so we could catch my husband running by the hotel for the marathon. The desk staff so was nice! They sent up a very nice maintenance man who used bolt cutters to get us into the room. No charge for the inconvenience we caused. So nice.

Later that same night, the kids had gone to sleep in one of the adjoined rooms, and adults were hanging out next door. My youngest woke up and called for me - she’d thrown up all over herself and the bed. We needed all new bedding for her. My husband called down to the front desk, and again, they were so nice. They brought up all the extra bedding we needed, and later the assistant manager brought up crackers and water and sprite for my daughter. They were all just so nice and wonderful and kind.

Aside from that, the arch view rooms were awesome - the view was really beautiful! The pool was great - they had a ton of pool noodles there that the kids could use, and even the pool had a great view of the arch. Breakfast was great - there’s plenty of seating and the food was good. I also witnessed super kind staff at the breakfast.

The location was also great - close to the interstate when you need to arrive/leave, close to the arch, close enough to the marathon starting line, 10 min drive to the zoo, 5 min drive to union station. Tons of walkable restaurants and shops in the area. Great hotel. Highly recommend.

We had a great experience here. Our digital key wasn’t working at the parking lot and the front desk gave us room keys to use instead with no other issues. The location was great and there was a lot to see within walking distance.

The only thing I wish is they’d put what floors to stay in with a view of the arch. Or at least views of the town. We chose our room based on the pool, but if I had known one floor up would view the arch. 23 would’ve chosen differently. (Def a nitpick here, lol.). We would definitely come back here!

Excellent hotel. Stayed here all last week. The staff is excellent especially the front desk and the breakfast lady. Beautiful hotel. Comfortable bed. Great views. There are no dresser drawers. Closet is very small.

Check-in was effortless. The room was very clean and spacious enough with four occupants. The beds were comfortable. Access to charge items were plentiful. I was there for a business conference and it was very necessary for so many outlets. The breakfast was good, the breakfast staff is the reason for me to continue to come back and recommend this hotel to anyone who asks. They were truly a delight to my day each morning. The only cons were the weird elevator that stopped every other floor, the key cards kept deactivating, and the room was only cleaned on request as I do understand that a little bit I did believe at least the trash would have been collected and the beds would have been made daily. all in all 8.5/10.

Just wanted to give a shout out to the staff at this Hampton Inn! We were recently traveling with the Memphis School of Rock that our Grand daughter attends and had the best experience! From Mike at check-in to Tanya in the breakfast room you can tell that this team love what they do and put their guests first! Would definitely choose to stay here again!!

From the moment we walked through the door Natasha and Janneka at the front desk greeted us with warm smiles and cheerful "hellos!".
Our room was very clean, the bathroom was spotless, and the beds were very comfortable.
Previous reviews expressed problems with the elevators but we did not experience any - they ran quickly and direct from the 17th floor to the lobby. The parking is secure and easy to access from the hotel. Some reviews stated the parking spots are tight but people tend to forget the building was built in 1962, way before big SUVS came into play. There are plenty of spots to park so even if you overlap into the next one it's not a problem.
The breakfast was good; it included two waffle makers and a good assortment of breakfast foods from oatmeal to muffins. There is plenty of seating around the food stations with tvs scrolling the morning news.
We look forward to staying here again on our next trip through St. Louis!

The staff is great. Very friendly and helpful. Location is great for the Arch, Busch Stadium, and other attractions. We have stayed at many Hampton Inns and this was one of the best.

Saw bad reviews and almost didn't stay, but needed to leave a good review sincee they did everything good. I think people generally leave reviews when things are bad, so it skews the average.

The staff if extremely friendly and took care of our needs. The location is great and the breakfast and staff was wonderful! I would recommend this hotel and will be back!

Staff is amazing! Jennifer brought the energy this morning during breakfast. My kids loved the pool there and they’re excited to visit again. Beautiful views! Big variety for breakfast.

Arrived and immediately greeted by delightful staff that assisted us to our room, suggesting Imos for a delivery dinner. The entire stay was enhanced a knowledgeable staff and relaxing environment.

Great location for visiting the Arch. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Parking was convenient with easy in and out privileges.
