Mifflinburg Hotel & Scarlet D Tavern

The Haddock dinner was absolutely delicious! The Southern style haddock is a must try! The sautéed green beans are delicious as well! Our waitress was fabulous even though it was super busy!

Always pleased with our food and service at the "D"! I was skeptical to try the scallops but am so glad that I did. Done to perfection!

We were at a special event today at the restaurant. There were a bunch of us there and appeared to be only in waitress/bartender. She did a fantastic job! We were worried about getting drinks and food with so many people and only one server. The kitchen did exceptionally well to handle us all also. It was a great experience and our first time here. We have been to the other place in town that a lot of our friends know about, but this place is MUCH better imo! We will be returning.

We came to the area for the weekend for a quick getaway. Luckily we stopped in at the Hotel for an afternoon beer. The staff was friendly and service was very good.

They showed us The evening dinner special, haddock homemade mac & cheese and stewed tomatoes. We made a reservation (you don’t need but recommend to be safe).

We ordered The haddock special, which can be prepared in three different ways. The food came out hot and the portions are very large.

The haddock filet was prepared perfectly, The stewed tomatoes and mac & cheese are obviously homemade.

The stewed tomato sauce is thicker and sweet and the best stewed tomatoes I’ve ever had in my life.

They have a large selection of beer to accompany your meal.

We will certainly be coming back to the Mifflinburg Hotel and Scarlet D Tavern and suggest that you come in as well.

Back for first time in a very long time and we were not disappointed. Really good food and great service.

My wife may have stolen my heart, but Scarlett D hijacked my tastebuds and tummy!! Fantastic entrees and unique sides lent a spirit of adventure to our date night.

We were driving by and had to stop because the place looked classic and cool and is right on the main road. We grabbed a couple beers and a quesadilla and it was just twenty bucks - nice. Friendly service, outside seating, and fun locals to chat with. If you get lucky you'll get a horse and buggy drive by. Next weekend when we drive through again I will be back!

The Scarlet D has good food at good prices, good people, and the owners and employees do a LOT for the community. There is an intentional antiquated vibe to this place, which has been a landmark in the community for many years.

My only complaint is that most of the chairs in the restaurant either need reupholstered or replaced, as they were definitely uncomfortable for most of the guests at my table, including me who has chronic hip and back pain. (I did get used to it after a while, but when you first sit down on a cushion most people expect to feel a cushion, and are surprised by a hard flat chair beneath their "sit bones.")

All in all, a great community business!

haven't been to the d for a bit and decided to head up last night. the fish and chips were the best I have ever had. 3 nice and more than ample pieces of haddock and the fresh cut fries are fabulous

I am a long time resident of Mifflinburg and i didn't go to the Scarlet D for a long time. I'm glad we tried it again. I had a chef salad that was delicious and huge. My husband a a burger that was very thick and well done just like he likes it. We sat at the bar because there was no tables abailable and the bartender was very attentive even though they were very busy. I had a margarita that was a nice size and was good. And the prices were fair and reasonable. I am definitely going there again

First visit was on wing night when they were hosting a charity event. Even with a huge crowd the service was great. Pool Table upstairs was by far one of the best tables in any bar I've played on in the last few months. Will go back.

Good wings, good staff, good times. Wednesday night is trivia night. Make your own burgers and kids eat free.

A very diverse restaurant. Anything from your local bar attendees to large banquets for wedding rehearsals. With outstanding prices and friendly staff, the Scarlet D is a one stop shop.

Good family owned business. The staff is knowledgeable and fun. Food is fabulous! Love all their food but the wings, Mac & cheese are awesome!!
