Shepherd's Farm Restaurant & Ice Cream Shop

We stopped off randomly for lunch on a day trip around Ohiopyle. We saw the signs advertising local lamb and ice cream and had to give it a try. To say we were impressed is an understatement. The lamb sub we had was some of the best lamb we have ever had. I had a divine milkshake and my Mom had a homemade carrot cake that had her raving. The staff was busy but prompt with the service. It's a shame they're closing for the season after Labor Day. I will absolutely be returning the next time they're open.

Found this great little place while seeking out the covered bridges in Somerset County. My family and I enjoyed their ice cream and found the service there to be quick and the ice cream was delicious! I stopped in to check out the dining room and plan on coming back to try it out in the future! I've seen reviews on here commenting on how slow the service is, but keep in mind this is a restaurant and ice cream business run in a small town, one shouldn't expect to be served as quickly as a Chic-Fil-A! Be happy there is a place like this that exists to be able to make a stop to stretch and enjoy the countryside!

Variety of all kinds of ice cream creations. Unfortunately the dinner was closed at the time so I could not speak for it. They are still selling lamb and I purchased a 3 lb. shoulder and had my son make it 2 days later. It was to die for. They provided recipes for the lamb and great customer service.

Stopped in for lunch while sightseeing. Really good food. The lamb sandwich was super tender and the bread was very soft and fluffy! The wait staff was extremely friendly and prices were very resonable. Can't wait to visit again!

Have always loved their food and environment since I was a child. Lots of family memories, and my kids love going there now too. Good food and icecream, nice country setting...

Most mouth watering lamb I've ever eaten. My family drives from Ohio every summer just to eat here on our way to Maryland. On the way home also. If heaven is on earth it's here.

We love this place for a quick stop of ice cream for our kids! There hours can vary but if it is open we always stop!

Accidentally found this gem on a motorcycle ride to Maryland. The lamb sandwich was incredible. Also, I got a delicious milkshake. I want to go back there.

I stopped here after hiking at Mt Davis. I had a burger which was delicious. We ate outside at a picnic table with a beautiful view.

A unique experience as their sheep farm is across the street. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy. A little gem.

Great hospitality opened up early for our group. Made exceptional lunch boxes for the group. Just an outstanding place !!!
