Sunrise Cafe

Very nice, very small and very friendly breakfast nook. About 7 tables, no bar sitting. More large tables as set than small with easy customization. I've been here twice in 6 months as I don't live close. First, there were 2 kids in a booth while mom worked. They were well behaved and even fun to watch. No kids this time... Staff is welcoming & friendly and this is a perfect setting for a small town breakfast/ lunch place.

Came in for the first time today and what a delightful atmosphere! Was it chaotic? Absolutely. Was everyone in there hustling and extremely friendly? Also, absolutely. The food was great, the servers extremely friendly despite being extremely busy and overwhelmed, and the other patrons were delightful. Highly recommend stopping in!

Great small cafe, restaurant, alternative to McD's, etc., and close to the highway (I-81). Very small; great food and service. Drive right past those fast foodies; less than a mile off highway. Worth it! Great breakfast sammie.

I have been best friends with the owner since we were in school together and I absolutely love her! I am so proud of her and what she has been able to accomplish with her diner! My only regret is I did not come sooner! Her food is the best in the area and the atmosphere inside the restaurant is so warm and welcoming! I highly recommend coming here! I know I'll be back!!
Update: I have to say I will come almost every Sunday religiously when I am not out of town! This is truly the best little hidden gem in our county when it comes time for food!! If you have not been here yet I encourage you to come at least once! I can almost guarantee you will become a regular and the staff will know what you want to eat and drink as soon as you walk in!

Great local spot with fantastic customer service. Solid breakfast offerings. A great way to take a break from the highway, and support a local business.

There aren’t enough good things to say about this place! We are so fortunate to have such quality cooking and service available to us here in our small town, and for such incredible prices. Sonya is an amazing cook, you can tell she cooks with love and uses locally sourced fresh ingredients. There’s nothing like getting breakfast in town that uses farm fresh eggs and potatoes! I cant forget Megan and Ashley, they are great servers! The atmosphere here is always friendly and welcoming, it’s definitely a great place to come and catch up with the locals.

Sonya always greet her customer's with a warm friendly hello and always wishes them well for the day when they are leaving.

My wife brought me here for breakfast at 7am this morning, my first time at this wonderful, small town restaurant. I ordered the corned beef hash omelet, which came with hash browns, onions and toast. It was delicious and too big to finish at one sitting. Our server, who might have been the owner, was very cheerful and attentive. We also had a chance to briefly chat with the local constable who was having breakfast after ending his shift. My wife and I had a wonderful time, and will be returning. This is a small restaurant, so I figure that you may need to wait a bit for seating during busy times, but it would be worth it. I highly recommend the Sunrise Cafe.

As a hometown breakfast spot for locals or otherwise it's 5/5. The food is just done with love and the wait staff here feel like family. Cleanliness is 5/5. They keep it simple and I appreciate that.

Each mug they use is different, the tables and chairs are eclectic as well. It's like breakfast at your grandmas house.

The Sunrise cafe is a very clean and respectful place to have breakfast or lunch the food is delicious the people are great lot of friendly people go there it is a wonderful place to have breakfast or lunch I believe the atmosphere there is great simply because the owners are great people they have been blessed with this business and their blessing us all with their great food and dining in or take outs like I said the food is delicious you can't beat the prices anywhere it's even good for someone on a gluten-free diet a few things you cannot have but most of them you can the truth. Sonia is a great cook so are the others that do the cooking there not very nice people and great Christians as well very friendly you couldn't find better people the Lord has blessed us with this tiny restaurant it is a wonderful place to visit and spend time

Great food and great people. Cozy and inviting. Thunder Valley recommended stopping in here while getting unloaded.

This is a wonderful little restaurant, the owner, who is also the cook, is a pleasure to talk to and makes delicious food that won't break the bank. The coffee is the best around and I am never having to ask for a refill. The portions are excellent and the staff is very friendly.

Stopped for breakfast on a road trip home from a great family wedding in Waverly NY. We were greeted by a sign on the door that read Scramble on In. How cute! 😁 Breakfast was fabulous. Hot, steamy and flavorful omelets. 😁 Fresh and delicious breakfast potatoes. 😁 On our way out the door, I complemented the staff and said we'll be back, in spite of the 2 hour drive. 😁👍

Such a friendly place with a lovely owner! The food is delicious with generous portions. Just what you need to get the day started or a recharge midday.

Came upon this Cute small town diner on a road trip. Food and service was on point. If you’re looking for friendly service and good food it’s a good place to stop and try. Glad we did.
